CHAPTER 5: DREAMS AND THREATS

It seems that my mind don't know what to do. I just stand there for a while remembering the words he said. It feels that I've been hit by a sword deep into my heart. Tears are simultaneously running down my cheeks like no end. I stays like this for a while then I decided to go back.

When I get home. I am welcome by the twin, they both hugged me very very tight in my waist. Though, I feel guilty over them. I forgot to bring birds with me.

The twin did understand me that  made me feel special. They even drag me to the dining table where uncle Johann was currently sitting there. I just repay them a genuine smile as they occupy the table in front of me.

"  How do you feel now, Alexander? " ask auntie rosset who was putting our meal in a plate.

" I feel better now auntie. " I smile while she drag the chair and sit. She puts a single plate  full of rice and meat over me.

" I have heard about you being challenge by one of the warriors. I immediately went into the training ground with the twin to watched your fight but I couldn't afford to watched it. We go home hoping that you'll be safe.

One of our co-villagers went to me saying, amongst all that have been challenge for several years, Your fight is the most worth watching and impressive one. Maybe, it is because you didn't even bothered to shifted just to beat them, you fight barehanded. " She says feeling somewhat proud. I can see it in her eyes. I never shifted because I don't want too.

" Some of the villagers befriended me after the fight, some are looking forward to meet you. I'm sorry if I didn't even visited you at the healing house, I have so many things to do as a Luna." She apologize. I just smiled sincerely.

" Anyways," she continues with delightful expression. " As a Luna and your new found mother, I'm really proud of you as well as Keith and warren" she stops and looked for the twin who are arguing with their meals. I almost Burst out crying hearing those words from hear. I haven't heard that word within the past 7 years of my life. That somewhat boast my confidence after loosing some of it, hearing what the alpha had said. Aunt Rosset turn her gaze on me.

" Don't you know that they even brag you to their friends, saying their bother was so strong like beating 3 warriors at a time. Hahahahaha! That two.  Even some of our co-villagers recognize me." I was quite amuse by the turn of events. Did being challenge enabled the pack to recognize my strength as a commoner? Why does the alpha seems sees me as a weak and burden one? Arrggh! I feel sick again.

" What did while he alpha said? " ask uncle johann and I was taken aback. This is not good. I look at him while my minds looking for any possible excuses.

" He says, I should get better." I lied. Uncle is a good man, I don't want him to know what the alpha had said to me.

" Is that all? I'm just wondering, he's acting unusual things lately. "

I said no more and focus on the food. They shouldn't know.

I run as fast as I could. Three rougues have been chasing me, wanting my death. I continue to run even if its dark just to get away with them but I didn't notice the trees root that hinder the way. I stumble to the ground. Even if my body's aching and my hearts craving for air. I crawl and hide at the tree.

I look for them but then someone got me and lift me up with bare hands. He's quite strong. I can't free myself from his grip. I didn't manage to look for the rougues who was chasing me. Probably, he killed them already. I notice the cruelty in his eyes.

I was hoping to free myself from being strangged to death just when I see one of the rougues at his back who try to lunge him with something sharp. I thought he didn't notice it but he free me and kill the rougues with his might.

I tried to take a chance to run but he got me first just when I tried to run. Its dark and I couldn't look for his face very well. In a minute, I am strangle upon. He's holding my neck to its finest. Very tight and I can't even take a breath. I almost losing my consciousness when I saw him grin to me causing me to notice his FANGS!

I immediately arose from the bed.

"f**k? WHAT A DREAM!"  I mutter while chasing my breathe. I breathe heavily like I haven't take a breath for a very long time. That dream was absurd and realistic. I thought I'll be dead.

*Sigh

I look around to notice that they're all sleeping solemnly. I feel a cold sensation rushing into skin. The windows opened like someone just went inside and outside. I control myself from horror and walk to the window.

The night was so peaceful. I look below the window to notice a footprint. My face look bothered bit I just strugged my head off and close it. I go lie to bed.

A minute later, I couldn't even fall asleep again. I face left, then right, then up and down.

" Urghh!" I mutter in annoyance. My dreams have always inside my head. Until, I decided to wander inside the village perimeter without anything covered in my body.

I used to wander at night without wearing any comfortable garment place in my body to aid the coldness of the night. I close the door making no sounds to wake them. Cold breeze welcomed me outside.

The village is empty,everybody's in a sleep already. I walk very slowly so that nobody will notice my presence. I walk into the eastside. This place reminds me the hurtful words from the alpha's mouth.

I keep on walking until I am in the very disturbing part. It feels home. This is where I used to be. I haven't notice animals wandering at night. This place is endangered, its near the village. I really like the coldness of the forest during nighttime.

Just when I heard a noise from my left side. I automatically hide at a tree as I smells " rougues " presence in the area. Suddenly, I felt the l**t for blood.

'Let me out!' Maiven injected but I set aside his interjection. I'm scared about the thought of maiven getting into my being. I come closer to them. Just when I take a step on the last file of tree when..

"Hhmmpp!" I mumbled out as someones hands covered my mouth. My hearts beats faster than usual.

My dear hearts throbbing not because of being scared but because of safety and love. It was him.

Its my MATE!

Waiit- What is he doing here? Is he following me? I currently eyeing him, were face to face while both his hands are holding the tree and my mouth. Seeing him makes me remember those hurtful words from his mouth.

I intently look into his eyes. I wanna look for sincerity of his words, if his really telling the truth. There's a part of me saying he was just lying. I want to clarify it. Its my chance.

They says, mouth can give lied but the the eyes. So do, I tried to reach for them. Their beautiful, like the universe that I may lost in void. I like the color of his eyes who signifies authority, responsibility and love.

Were currently staring at each other for a minute. Figuring the best of us. Its like watching evey single piece of uncertainty.

We stays like this for a minute until he decided to whisper in a low voice.

"What the f**k are you doing in this cold midnight? Are you up to something?" He sounds a little upset but not angry. There's a hint of guilt and suspicious lingering in his eyes.

I was about to answer when..

" Alpha! Should we attack the village now, for sure the victory shall be ours. Right Dennis?"

So the rougues bring there alpha over here huh? Dennis? Who must be Dennis? These rougues are quite interesting to fight with. The alpha gritted his teeth hearing the statement from the foes mouth.

He puts his forefinger across my lips and I was anxious as hell feeling his finger over my lips.

"Ssssshh!" He instructed. I was disoriented at first but I nod as I comprehend what he meant.

" No. For now, we'll just observed them from a far. It's not the right time to fight them, knowing they abruptly adopted 'the great rougues slayer', he's dangerous and risky. We just look forward and I'll inform you if I have plans to attack them. You will not take move unless I say so. OK?" He's voice commands firmly full of authority. He probably is a perilous opponent. A great rougues slayer huh? Who might it be? The alpha knows something about it, that's for sure.

" Let's go!" The alpha added as we both hear noises from afar. When we fell their presence no more, he loosen his grip on me. He turn his back on me. What a rude a*s, and damm that I take a slight gaze at his well builted a*s. Sh*t. 

I lean forward to him, its an opportunity to talk with the alpha.

"Why don't we fight them back?" I asked in confusion. I am looking forward for a fight. My body probably needs exercise from 3 days sleeping. This body is craving for blood. Besides, his the alpha, he must sue every invaders threats specially the ones coming from rougues. Werewolves and rougues are mortal enemies since, I guess no one can change it forever.

Why does he do nothing?

He look at me straight into the eyes.

" Do you think fighting them means victory to us? Aside from being the village is unprepared, there are probably a lot of rougues lingering inside the village perimeter waiting to attack us. That'll means triumph to them while suffering to us. The rougues right, they'll win tonight and I am pretty scared about the risk in might bring to my village. Sometimes, bravery does not mean courage and resilience it also means cowardice.

For a brave take the risk to be coward minding the possible outcomes of our action. I can see someone who look brave but not brave enough to remember the past which he most likely to forget." I was suddenly taking aback. The person he was talking is familiar to me or was it ME?

"Its a suicide to fight and  I, the alpha will take the blame if its gonna happened." I'm partly amaze. He's thinking about the possible outcomes before taking possible action while me thinks nothing. My brain seems void. If its not, then, why does I didn't think of it in the first place?

Duuhhh! I was stunned by him. He's making my body trembling. Suddenly, I remembered what the he says earlier, about me being weak and fragtile and a burden to the pack. I want to confront him about it but I feel too shy to open it up to him. I must do this. I lean on.

"Uhmm! Alpha?" I must say 'mate' but it's appropriate to say alpha since his the village alpha

"Hmmm? Why? By the way I  am Drake Allen Black, the pack alpha. But you can call me Drake without one of the pack hearing it. Don't be too formal." Wait! I can't process what he says! Did he really introduce himself to me? That's new!

" Uhmm, alp- I mean drake hmm.. about hmm.." Damm it! He gaze lies every part of me and it gives me goosebumps. I was deeply mesmerized by him to the point that I forgot what the thing I was going to say. This is my first time and I'm kinda be crazy like hell. f**k! Why I am like this in front of him? Is it because its the first time we'd talk or just the first time that I indulge myself to be with my mate. I don't know.

He move closer to mine and whisper.

"about what?" Damm! I almost feel heart attack. I still stand stiffed. He look intently to my eyes. Sh*t! That eyes of whom I like. My hearts begun throbbing like hell racer.

My wolf growls. Maiven probably like the scenario. We stays like this for a while like we don't want to go home just staring intently to each other is the best things in life.

He's hands moved to me waist. He gently pulled me close to him. I was like, damm! Please! I want this man. But, the surrounding wasn't please.

We heard noise from somewhere causing ourselves to depart. We observe the surrounding if there's enemy or one from the pack have seen us that way. Until, a boar let out from a log. Darn, that boar! Glaring at the boar makes my self to kill it. Such a disturbance. Tss!

" Uhm, it's cold here. Let's go? It's not good to stay here, rougues are just quietly monitoring us from a far." He says as he pulls his arms to mine. Its shocking knowing we walk on, hands gently intertwined. Literally!

'Oh my Moon' did it really happened? Do I ain't dreamin'?

This scenes quiet amusing. Oh, what did drake doing a while ago? What is he up to?

"Drake, what are you doing a while ago at the forest?" Finally, I decided to broke the silence. Drake must be brave enough to go there? Its dangerous, though hes an alpha.

" Hmm," he mumble gently pressing my palm to its finest. 

" I'm an alpha, I am oblige to to look for my pack, provides safety measures and hinder any threats from the our foes. If rougues will try to attack my village, the shall face me before my pack. That's my responsibility as an alpha not only leading the village but also as a protector." He replied firmly yet full of authority.

He said it like are real alpha to his village. He's adorable. What might the former alpha;his father, could say hearing his son saying those words.

" Why initiated if you have people to carry on? I mean, the village has its own protector and warrior, right? You should sit still at the alphas hut?" The alpha should stay at his hut. The village lost its strength if their alpha lost. I feel panic about his safety.

He stop for a while.

" I ordered some of the warriors with the hunters to go to  Egna, the village of Rian in the north to ask for hunting down bears . Now that were lacking of food inside the village. There's only one village which I'm interested off, and that's Egna of Rian. His village is surrounded by thick ices and there's no probability of living that's why some of its villagers die in coldness while others remains in perished. Their pack are suffering and I planned to bring them here as one of us while we get bears from their village. I'm planning to expand my pack, my parents with the packs elders expect bigger things to come during my reign as an alpha. Hoping not to disappoint them, as well as my village." He says being more serious. I like the way he looks serious. He looks more handsome.

" You know what," he state and I just smiled to let him continued what he is about to say.

" At first, being an alpha isn't so easy. I'm struggling about the village security, foods and progress. It gives me headache everywhere I look upon. Sooner, I'll get used to this life. Then, my parents are both eager to look forward to meet my mate." He look at me,the delightful expression of him suddenly fade. I know, the situation is really different and hard specially for the both of us. He Sigh.

" I'm an only child, my parents want to see their grandchildren before they past away. They even says, they want a man to inherit my position soon. I just laugh back then."

" I'm sorry!" I apologize for being he's mate. I know, he's an alpha and also a son. It must be hard for him to endure the situation.

" Sorry for what?" He asked confuse.

" Sorry for being your mate!" I replied sadly.

" No, don't say that. Your my mate, no need to say sorry. I'm fine about it, about us." Somewhat I feel special.

"Let's go home and rest."

"Okay! Let's go!"

We both continued to walk. I feel annoyed when I imagine the both of us doing what they call HHWW( Holding Hands While Walking). Someone may look us with disgust but who cares? No one ever sees it anyways!

Them a question suddenly arose from my thinking. I should ask for it.

" Why didn't you imprisoned me ?" He stop causing myself to collide with his bareback.

Sh*t! Now, I can clearly see his perfect builted a*s. I wanna squeeze it.  Urgh!

He turned back just to look at me straight into my eyes. He slowly moves his face across mine. I gasp at the idea of him kissing me but he don't. Instead,

" I don't like the idea of my own Mate being imprisoned. Go home now, you must be very tired." The next thing he did was unexpected.

He kiss my forehead as he said " Goodnight" and he then leave, walking into the left side until I couldn't see his back.

Gawd! What was happening?

I feel weak and sick but I don't want my readers to feel the same with my story.  So, that's why I added some tickling part. Hehehehe!
