I love these kids, but none of them know truly what's about to happen. Not a single one. They have all heard the stories, but none of them have full details. Not even our children.
There are only four people in this room right now that were there. Me, Loki, Mel and Luke. The four of us were there, and the four of us fought this monster.
I sat and listened closely as they all talked about who should guard Rain, and how they felt things should be handled. I could see Mel struggling to pay attention and not drift off into her own mind. So much so, that Loki had to pull her out of her thoughts more than once.
She finally started to give her recommendations, and I wasn't one of them. It wasn't until she started to explain why she chose I completely understood why she chose the
