Right Direction Pt. 3

       Lexi stepped out with Ted. My mouth watered. She had on shorts that showed off her legs. Her top was begging for me to come play with her perfect boobs.” I was literally hugging a tree to keep from running to her. I’ve officially lost it. Matt thanked Lexi, and Ted assured him he wasn’t going to leave him. His plan was out of sight out of mind. I was Lexi on this one. f**k that. Ted belonged in our pack. I smiled as Ted told us how Lexi talked him down. She was perfect. She was going to be an amazing Luna. Lexi got verbal confirmation from Matt we would protect Ted if their group had a threat against him. No one would threaten either of them and live. Matt and Ted ran past me. Matt linked, “You coming back?” I linked, “Later.” Lex stepped back through her barrier. My ears perked up when I heard clothes hitting the ground. I didn’t hear her shut her door. I heard her going up the stairs to her room. I heard a drawer open then I heard her moan. I growled. I linked Kevin and Kincade, “GET OUT OF HERE!” I saw both of them take off. I was painfully hard listening to her moans. They were breathy. I wanted to be the one eliciting these sounds from her. I was painfully hard. I heard a buzzing sound. f**k! She had a vibrator. Of course she did. I unzipped my pants. I was a creep, it was official. I began to stroke myself in tune with her moans. I pictured her underneath me making those noises. f**k! I sped up my hand just as I heard her scream…. My name. She was picturing me. Almost against my will I stood and ran to the barrier. I banged against it. I needed her. I needed to be buried inside her. Her moans never stopped. OH COME ON MOON GODDESS YOU TORTURE ME! Every scream confirmed for me Lexi had been in that tree Ted looked at. She’d seen me, and now she was imaging me inside her. I ran the entire barrier. I ran in a circle like a crazy person looking for any weakness. I growled. I was honestly stunned she didn’t hear me when she screamed my name over and over again. 

        Matt linked me, “The HELL is wrong with you? The pack thinks you're about to do a mass exodus of pack members.” I growled, “f**k OFF!” Matt said, “Ted assures me Lexi was alone in her house, so…. What is your problem?” I said, “Oh… I don’t know. My mate is getting herself off screaming MY NAME! I’m trapped outside by this STUPID fairy barrier. I AM LOSING MY MIND! I can smell her arousal Matt. It’s every f*****g where. She’s screaming my damn name while moaning and I can’t get to her.” Matt was barking in laughter, “I am …. sorry. That’s not funny…. Except it’s hilarious. So… she had to be in that tree Ted looked at.” I growled, “I need something to take my mind off this. She’s finally done. It’s only been an hour of pure unadulterated hell.” Matt said, “So… can you stop growling now?” I growled, “NO!” Matt said, “Eugene and Perry…. We have no idea where they are.”  I said, “IF Lexi was there; I’d bet they are dead. Keep trying to get a read on their whereabouts, but if you come up with nothing… I think we assume Lexi killed them for hurting Ted’s feelings.” Matt said, “Damn. I like her.” A few minutes later, “Ted confirmed it. Lexi killed them. Ted said she agreed with Haley’s Hackura family that disrespect shouldn’t be tolerated.” I said, “Matt, I COULD LITERALLY CARE LESS! I’m already turned the f**k on. Her killing people that disrespected you, me, and Ted does NOT help my current situation.” Matt said, “Jeez… touchy touchy. Don’t kill anyone.” I growled and closed our link.

       I went back to my spot far away. I had to force my feet to move away. I went to my spot and fell asleep. Matt linked awake, “Not to nag… but we have a lot of paperwork.” I growled, “Fine.” I linked Kincade and Kevin, “I need you to make sure your future Luna is safe today. I’ll let Cameron to let him know you’ll be in his territory today. She’s throwing their party.” Kevin linked, “We are on our way.” I waited until they got there then ran home. I shifted and grabbed shorts and tugged them on. “Son.” I whirled. “Dad?” My dad studied me, “What’s going on, Chase?” I said, “Nothing.” My dad said, “Nothing? Do you remember I used to run this pack? You don’t sleep here anymore chase. Are you alright?” I growled, “No, no I am not alright! OK? Is that what you wanted to hear? I f****d up and I don’t know how to fix it.” Matt came outside, “Let’s take this to the office that’s still fairy charmed.” Ted walked out and kissed Matt. “See you after work. Good luck with…. This.” He smiled at me and left. I stalked into my office. I linked Cameron, “Lexi’s guards will be in your territory today.” Cameron said, “Already expected that.”  

       My entire demeanor changed when I saw Susie at my desk. Derrick said, “She wants to talk to you.” I smiled, “Hi Susie.” Susie smiled, “Hi Chase! Where have you been?” I smiled, “Working on Project Cookies.” Susie said, “Oh… well then everyone’s worried for nothing! Come on daddy! Come play with me. I have my tea party set up and Ted couldn’t come because he has a work thing.” My dad said, “I’ll be right there Princess. I need to talk to Chase.” Susie said, “But it’s fine. He’s working on Project Cookies. Come on!” My dad said, “SHE KNOWS?!” Susie frowned, “Why are you mad?” Nadine came into the room, “Susie, your guests want to start their tea party.” My dad said, “Guests?” Nadine narrowed her eyes at my dad. Susie said, “I have my teddy, and dolls set up at the table. You’ll come play, won’t you daddy?” My dad knelt down, “I’ll be right there sweetie.” Susie sighed, “But daddy… Project cookies is for me, Chase, and Cameron ears only!” I smirked. My dad said, “Alright. I just need to talk to Chase really quick. I’ll be five minutes behind you.” Susie looked at me, “Only us in Project Cookies. Right Chase?” I said, “Right Susie.” She skipped out of my office.

       My dad said, “You have GOT to be kidding me son. Your little sister and Cameron know what’s going on?” I said, “Yes. Is that all?” My dad growled, “TELL ME!” I said, “Susie gave clear marching orders. Only us.” My dad looked around, “Matt knows as does Derrick.” I said, “When you need to know I’ll tell you.” My dad shouted, “My son is spending his nights and days GOD KNOWS WHERE, and I don’t need to know?! Are you serious?! I’m worried about you. You aren’t happy Chase. I know you. Let me help you.” I said, “You can’t help me dad. I need to fix this on my own.” My dad hung his head. He turned to look at Derrick and Matt, “I will kick BOTH of your asses if anything happens to my son.” I sighed as he left. “Dad, I’m ok.” My dad snorted, “I know you’re not Chase. I’m your father. I’ll figure it out, and I WILL help you somehow son.” My dad stalked out. I sighed, “We can’t let him get wind of Lexi. He will bring her here.” Matt put his head in hands, “Yeah, he will.” Derrick said, “So we have him take over training the younger warriors. They have classes early in the morning until lunch time. Coming up with training plans takes time. It would keep him busy.” I said, “Perfect. You tell him we had that in the works to distract him from Susie starting school.” Derrick said, “Oh come on! I’ve gotta tell him?” I laughed, “You will be fine. He’s mad at me not you.” We got to work. We had a s**t ton of paperwork to get through. Matt stood and walked out around lunch. He came in with a box of dark chocolates and a note. Matt said, “These came for you yesterday, but it didn’t make it to you.” Derrick said, “I signed for it. I left it on your desk.” Matt smiled, “Susie took it and ate some.” I laughed. I pulled out the note. 

Alpha Chase, 

Thank you for lending a helping hand the other night. I am sorry I mistakenly sent this to your brother first. I hope helping us didn’t cause you too many problems. I decided it was the work of the fates to bring Matt and Ted together.

       Derrick laughed, “Based on the look on your face, those are from Lexi.” I smiled, “Yes, it’s a thank you for saving her and Ted.” Derrick said, “Now this is the part where you would expect me to say, ‘You did WHAT?!’ but you see I had myself a chat with TeleTed. So I already know about the leak in their group, and that it’s targeting Lexi. Who is already being guarded because he said two blonde wolves were there before Matt jumped in to tear a man to shreds. So… through my powers of deduction I have concluded Lexi is our future Luna. I have never been so well informed and TeleTed can never leave.” Matt said, “No, he can’t.” I snorted, “You’re right. Lexi Scott is your future Luna.” Derrick said, “And how convenient. The Beta Male and Luna are already friends. I contacted Sophia’s pack and spoke to her new Gamma after I tracked him down. TeleTed again. He has a magical gift of gab. People talk to him and spill their secrets. It’s magical I tell you. I sent him over to Sophia’s pack with cookies. Sorry Matt. I briefly borrowed him, and you didn’t notice because he’s fast. Freaky fast. Also possibly a bit of insomniac. Who cares? Not Derrick because it works for me. New Gamma’s name is Steve. Steve said Sophia had a solid list of names. She’s working towards acting. Steve believes it will be after the New Year. Possibly February.” Matt winced and growled, “WHAT?!” Derrick said, “I warned Gamma Steve this would make you unhappy.” I dialed Sophia’s number on my line. She answered, “Alpha Sophia.” I growled, “FEBRUARY?!” Sophia said, “Hi Chase, how are you doing?” I repeated, “FEBRUARY?!” Sophia sighed, “I will have the annulment papers signed for you February second.” I said, “That’s four months TOO f*****g LONG Sophia!” Sophia sighed, “I thought you’d be happy we had a firm date.” I said, “WHAT could POSSIBLY take you that long to confirm?” Sophia sighed, “Alfred’s dad is on the possible list. I CANNOT move on that until I am certain. I know it’s not ideal, but …. It’s his dad. It’s tearing him apart. If there’s a chance he had nothing to do with it, I have to exhaust every possibility.” I said, “Then call Haley Conners.” Sophia said, “I’m doing this myself. It’s what she encouraged me to do. I’m taking charge.”

        I rubbed my head, “It’s not what she told you to do, but work faster Sophia.” I hung up. I threw everything off my desk, “FOUR MONTHS?! I HAVE TO STAY AWAY FROM LEXI FOR FOUR MONTHS?!” Matt said, “I actually have no words.” Derrick said, “I do. f**k THEM! She wants to do it on her own? Fine, good for her. She’s taking charge. Haley didn’t say she couldn’t ask for help. Sophia missed the point. Divorce her Chase.” I said, “Then she’s my ex-wife Derrick. This was supposed to be like it never f*****g happened. NO! I’m not divorcing her. Lexi will be my REAL wife, my ONLY wife. Matt, start gathering data. I don’t f*****g care that they didn’t ask. We are helping them solve this because I won’t live this way for four months.” Matt said, “I will start looking into it. You know, you could tell Sophia that you met your mate.” I snorted, “So she can make me want to kill her when she says ‘I’ll just talk to her. Everything will be fine.’” Matt said, “Point taken.” We got back to work. Several hours later Matt’s phone beeped. He smiled. “Ted’s event went really well. They signed an extended contract deal with them.” I said, “At least we get some good news.” Cameron texted me that their event went well too. I was really proud of Lexi. After twenty minutes Matt called Ted. I said, “Matt?” Matt said, “He should be home.” I said, “He could’ve hit traffic, or stopped for food.” Matt said, “No, I told him I had our chef prepare a special meal to celebrate his first solo event.” A pop sounded and Alpha Eric Conners, Alpha Jackson Conners and Haley were suddenly standing in front of me. Haley’s eyes were blazing. “s**t! Did she figure out that I found out Lexi is my mate?” I linked Matt. Matt didn’t reply because he was looking at Alpha Jackson terror in his eyes. 

      “Jackson…” Matt said. Tears forming in his eyes. Jackson hugged Matt, “He’s going to be fine.” Matt started to cry, “Where is he?” Haley said, “Some stupid f*****g pack in Kentucky kidnapped him. Eric got word there was an accident right on our border with you.” I growled, “Call everyone. We will get him back Matt.” Haley said, “I can bring him back. I know what kind of supernatural Ted is. I’ll bring their best with me to get him and bring him home.” Alpha Eric growled. Haley sighed, “Along with Blade of course.” I yelled, “HOW THE HELL DID THIS HAPPEN?” I linked my warriors, “Get Ted’s scent at our border with Alpha Conners. You get your Beta Male and BRING HIM HOME! NO ONE Kidnaps our pack members.” Growls filled the air. Alpha Jackson spoke, “We did some digging. Members of your pack are proud of how progressive you are. They bragged to family. One family member bragged to their pack. Some men got drunk and decided to force Matt to step down.” 

        Matt cried, “They are hurting him. I can feel it. He’s so scared.” Haley said, “I’ll bring him right back Matt. I’ll heal him.” She grabbed Blade’s hand and popped out. Derrick said, “Uhh… guys.” He turned the computer around. Matt yelled, “TED!” A man laughed, “I see we have your attention you piss poor excuse of a Beta.” I linked my dad and Isaac, “Get to my office NOW!” Both were startled, “Coming.” My office door opened, and Isaac and my dad stepped in. Isaac’s eyes narrowed on the screen. He growled, “GIVE MY SON IN LAW BACK!” He put his hand on Matt’s back. Matt looked like a little kid when he turned to his dad. Derrick muted the computer on our end “Dad…. they took him.” Isaac said, “We will get him back. He will be fine, son.” Matt's voice broke, “Daddy….” Isaac said, “Son, he needs you to keep it together right now. Do it for Ted.” Matt shook himself. A man said, “Step down as Beta Matt, and we will release your mate.” We all growled. Ted screamed at Matt not to do it. I growled when they punched Ted. It took Isaac, my dad, and I to restrain Matt. He was enraged, “DON’T YOU f*****g TOUCH HIM! I’LL KILL EVERY LAST ONE YOU!” Alpha Eric Conners spoke, “Release Beta Male Ted.” Their group paused, “Alpha Eric Conners?” Alpha Eric replied, “Very good. Let him go, or I promise you… you will not like what follows; nor will any member of your pack.” 

        The group was silent for a minute. Ted said, “Well, it’s been real, and it’s been fun boys, but I’d like to go. I have a romantic dinner to get to, and now my outfit is ruined. I’ll have to pick another one out. The food will get cold, Matt will be annoyed, it’s going to be a whole thing.” Matt laughed. I said, “DON’T!” but they hit Ted again. Ted spat out blood, “You pack less of a punch than I do. Damn it! There’s no one here to appreciate how funny that is. I assure you… it was quite the burn. Come to think of it...You should be moderately worried that someone who knows how funny that was IS here.” They hit Ted again. Matt told them he was going to kill them. I spoke up. I told them they would be declaring war. Hell they’d basically declared it themselves. I’d take over this f*****g pack in Kentucky in a heartbeat. They were scared. I could tell, but one stepped forward with a knife. I linked my warriors, “Who has Ted’s scent?” A warrior linked me, “We are closing in on him. Heartbeats are stopping all around where he is.” I smirked, “The Princess Luna Conners is there.” The warrior said, “That would do it. These morons didn’t leave our territory.” An arrow shot through the air impaling the man about to cut Ted’s hand. Derrick muted our computer as we stared in shock as three more arrows pierced the man. “No.fucking.way. Haley knows the BLACK ARROW? WAIT! TED’S f*****g HOOD?!” Derrick shouted. Alpha Jackson and Alpha Eric exchanged looks, “Haley does know the Black Arrow. They are good friends.” My dad snorted, “Of course they are.” Matt was intently watching the screen. Haley appeared in the back as Ted looked off screen looking at someone saying it was about time. He was smiling. Matt breathed a sigh of relief. The black Arrow appeared. I was glad I was sitting. I got so hard. What the f**k?! I’m such a s**t mate. The Black Arrow’s gear was impressive. She looked good. STOP IT CHASE! She had blonde hair. Even her voice modulator was somehow hot.

        WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? LEXI… Lexi is everything... She's our mate. Stop this Chase. Derrick unmuted our computer as Isabella charged into the room with Jenna. She ran to Matt putting her arms around him. The Black Arrow and Haley had killed everyone except the main man speaking. Isabella and Jenna gasped when the Black Arrow told the man they came for their own. I linked Matt, “Lexi’s brother is the Hood. Holy fuck.” Matt said, “I’m sorry WHAT?” I said, “I overheard them talking. If Ted is hood, Lexi is hood. Her brother Heath’s lieutenant is the dead motherfucker. Who else besides the Hood himself has a lieutenant? Heath Scott is the Hood.” Matt stared at me wide eyed, “Holy f**k. Who do you think she is?” I shrugged, “She might not have a moniker. The families tend to only have one person with one. She could just take missions to gather intel. It’s why she’s such a good fighter. f**k! This stays between us.” Matt snorted, “Obviously. If that got out…. It would be bad.” I growled, “It won’t get out.” I linked Kevin and Kincade, “Is Lexi still home?” Kincade replied, “Yes, there was some older man, but we ran him off.” I said, “Next time, one of you will try to follow him. I saw him before too.” Kevin said, “We saw him when she was with her brother, but he followed the brother when we left.” Haley popped with Ted and the Black Arrow. Matt looked around, “WHERE IS HE?” Alpha Jackson said, “I’m sure Haley had to take BA back where she found her.” Matt paced. “My son in law is hood. Isaac, did you ever think? We have a hood member in the family. We will have a grandchild that is half hood and half fairy. I just never.” 

       A pop sounded. Matt ran to Ted and pulled him into an embrace. Ted winced. Matt pulled back, “What’s wrong?” Ted said, “Just my ribs. My car’s a goner. It rolled. Many times.” Haley said, “Ted, sit down. I’m going to heal you.” Matt said, “How bad is it? Healers can sense that can’t they?” Haley looked at Ted who shrugged, “Might as well tell him.” Haley said, “His lungs are bruised, four of his ribs are cracked. He has a concussion, and his knee is sprained. Now sit the f**k down, and I’ll heal him.” Ted sat immediately and held onto Matt’s hand. A bubble surrounded them as Haley healed Ted. Isaac said, “The hood will respond.” Alpha Conners snorted, “Two hills is finished. I’d have your pack tell their family members to flee. I have contacts there. If they want to stay in the area there are packs that will take them in.” I said, “I’ll let my people know.” I linked Derrick, “Pull the files and talk to the heads of the families in our pack. Let them know their families are welcomed here if they do not share the sentiments of those few who took our Beta Male.” Haley stepped back to Alpha Eric Conners. He kissed her, “You know… Alpha Chase didn’t need my face shown. I could’ve gone with you.” Haley snorted, “And missed them pissing their pants when they realized how badly they f****d up? I think NOT!” Ted’s eyes opened, “I’ve never been healed by you before… Gosh, that’s something.” Matt purred, “It is.” Isabella broke forward and hugged Ted, “I was so worried. Are you alright?” Ted said, “Oh, I’m fine.” Haley said, “Until your mom finds out. You need to call Lex… word would’ve gone out.” 

        I made my face not show any hint of recognition as I could feel Haley’s eyes on me. Guilt hit me. I should’ve known Lexi would be worried about Ted. Matt said, “The Black Arrow would’ve sent word out that fast?” Haley said, “Her first call would’ve been to the Hood. Once he knows…. He’d have started making moves.” Ted groaned, “My mom is calling. CRAP!” He let it go to voicemail and called Lexi first. The panic in her tone caused my heart to wrench. Matt told her that he’d have guards on Ted. Ted argued and I linked Matt, “You call her Lex?” Matt said, “Ted talks about her ALL the time. He always calls her Lex. It’s in my head. I need guards for him.” I said, “Done. It was already an agenda item for tomorrow.” Matt smiled, “It was?” I said, “Check your email.” He looked at his phone, “So it is. I guess that’s why you’re the Alpha.” I snorted, “She was so worried about him. It kills me that I can’t comfort her.” Matt said, “I know how you feel.” I laughed when Ted told Lexi they’d have to find somewhere for his guards to sit. Isabella linked me, “Some of the candidates for baby mommas are warriors. I’m just saying. This would be a great opportunity for Ted to get to know a potential co-parent.” I smirked, “Email me the damn list, Isabella. I will only offer them the spot if they are good.” Isabella snorted, “As if I would offer unworthy candidates for my future grandchild.” Lexi told Ted he should Matt home. I linked Matt, “You’re going to the shroud. No wolf has been there before.” Matt smirked, “I know.” We both turned our heads when Lexi told Matt she hoped he had a truck for presents. Ted hung up but not before Matt asked, “Presents?”
