Tentative Thread Pt. 1

        Chase looked between his Beta and Gamma. “Well, is anyone going to tell me what the problem is?” I asked. Then I heard a voice from my office, “You can’t just keep me here!” I groaned, “Is that Sophia?” Matt was trying not to laugh, “It is.” The voice that answered shocked me because I recognized exactly whose it was. “I f*****g can keep you here and I will.” Derrick laughed, “There have been variations of those two sentences between the two of them since they popped in.” I rubbed my face, “The Princess brought Sophia here?” Matt smiled, “And Alfred. With her Hackura guard. He doesn’t say much.” My eyes went wide, “Alpha Conners?” Derrick laughed. Matt answered, “Evidentially, he has a meeting this morning too. He doesn’t exactly know that the Princesses’ meeting is with Sophia. She set up and appointment with her, but Alpha Conners didn’t ask who her appointment was with. The Hackura guard seems to believe… mind you I’m guessing from his broken English that Alpha Conners will be amused by this.” I couldn’t stop my laugh. I took out my phone and dialed Alpha Conners. “This is Beta Caleb.” I smiled, “Beta Caleb. I’d ask to speak to Alpha Conners, but I’ve heard he’s in a meeting.” Beta Caleb said, “And how did you hear that?” I said, “Well, my Beta told me. I’m assuming your Princess Luna told Sophia and him as she has been popped into my office.” Beta Caleb groaned, “Oh no.” I laughed, “Oh yes. Just tell Alpha Conners where we all are when he’s done with his meeting. I for one can’t WAIT to hear what this is about.” Beta Caleb said, “Be a lamb and take the phone in with you. I also want to hear this. She was BEYOND pissed when Alpha Conners explained the situation. In between them being the rabbits that they are.” I laughed and tossed Matt my phone.

            I walked into my office. Alfred and Sophia glared at me. Haley smiled, “Alpha Chase. Good morning. Now that we are all here; let’s have a meeting where I intend to be nice.” Sophia growled at her, “You POPPED me out of my office! You’ve made me wait for Chase! For a half hour!” Haley sighed, “Our meeting is for the entire morning, I set it up with your Beta and everything. You have nothing else to f*****g do! WHAT is your problem? I made a f*****g appointment. I AM BEING NICE!” The Hackura chuckled, “Princess is nice.” Haley said, “SEE? Even BLADE says I’m being nice. Let’s be clear Alpha Sophia. You do NOT want me to be mean. Now, we all have a problem here, and we are going to talk it out. I’m basically giving you free f*****g therapy because while I haven’t graduated yet; I’m going to be a therapist on day.” I linked Matt, “Did you know that?” Matt said, “I did know that. She’s doing online classes after the Alpha George situation where Jim and Nick Kruthers got shot. She didn’t want anyone to get hurt, but she wanted to get her degree.” I said, “Is there anything this girl doesn’t do? She’s a mom, wife, Luna, Princess, and gatherer of partial fairy’s, and soon to be therapist.” Matt shrugged, “We need a fairy man.” I looked from Alfred to Sophia smirking. I replied, “We just might need a fairy. My mates not a fairy, so we need a pack member to get us a fairy. Maybe Derrick.” Matt snorted. Sophia glared at him, “You did this didn’t you? You’ve been so disrespectful to my Beta lately.” 

            Princess Haley said, “Exfuckingcuse me?! WHO even is he? I have literally never seen him before in MY LIFE! I did this! ME! You know a woman. Because I don’t need a f*****g MAN to give me original thoughts or ideas. Nor do I need a man TO LEAD MY DAMN PEOPLE. You want to know who I share that common ground with?” Sophia had gone silent. Matt was shaking with laughter. Princess Haley shouted, “YOU b***h! I have that in common with YOU!” Alfred growled, “Don’t call my Alpha a bitch.” Princess Haley frowned, “A female dog is a b***h. Do wolves not f*****g know that? I thought that was common knowledge in this realm.” Blade was now laughing out loud. Derrick couldn’t hold his laughter in any longer. I was barely managing when my phone beeped. It was Cameron. 

Cameron: Lexi took the party for our pack. Reagan is pissed at me. She threw things, but Lexi will be here in my territory at ten this morning

Me: Thank you little brother. Somehow, I have interesting news too.

Cameron: If you introduced yourself to Lexi after I left when you saw her this morning. I will have Reagan throw things at you next.

Me: No, I didn’t. I hoped you dodged what she threw. I have the fairy princess in my office. She made an appointment with Sophia, and then popped her here. They are arguing.

Cameron: NO f*****g WAY! I did dodge everything. She didn’t actually want to hit me Chase.

Me: Yes, the fairy princess is yelling at Sophia in my office.

       Sophia said, “Are we boring you Chase?” Haley hissed at her, and I said, “I do have things to deal with. I was talking to Cameron.” Haley said, “Not that his business is any of yours! You’ve been on your damn phone every five minutes since I popped you here. And you’ve complained about me popping your ungrateful ass in here to solve YOUR problem. I am taken for granted, every damn where I go.” Alpha Sophia growled at her again, but this time her Guard drew his sword. Everyone stared at him in shock. Haley said, “I’d watch it Alpha Sophia. My guard does abide disrespect to me nor do my people. Just as a general rule.” She spoke in Latin and her guard sheathed his sword, “As I’m being nice, I’ve told him to let some things go. Growling and whatnot.” Matt laughed. Sophia said, “BETA MATT STOP LAUGHING!” Princess Haley’s head whipped to him, “Beta Matt as in Molly’s brother Beta Matt?” Matt nodded, “One in the same.” Princess Haley studied Matt from head to toe, “Huh. I can see it.” Matt turned red. I linked him, “Does she know you f****d her husband?” Alpha Sophia said, “What? Matt and Molly don’t even look alike.” Haley said, “Was anyone talking to you? I don’t f*****g think so. I was talking to Beta Matt. Who you WILL stop being f*****g rude to… Immediately. I like him.” She stood and stuck out her hand to Matt, “It’s a pleasure to meet you. Call me Haley.” Matt shook her hand, “You as well. My sister quite likes you.” Haley smirked, “I like her too. I’ve heard about you from a few people in my home. Always good to put a face with a name. I do hope we can get to know each other better.” Matt was so red, “I’d like that Haley.” Haley smiled, “Good. Now, onto the purpose of our meeting.”

            Matt linked me, “She definitely knows.” I bit my lip, “I’m sure Alpha Conners didn’t want her blindsided. You two would’ve eventually met.” Matt said, “Call me crazy, but she does not seem upset at all. Right?” I rolled my eyes, “She does not seem mad in any way shape or form. Trust me, you’d know if she was mad.” Matt said, “That’s weird, right?” I shrugged, “She’s… an interesting person.” Princess Haley sat down in one of my guest chairs and said, “Now, let’s all discuss the pig in the room.” I laughed. Beta Alfred said, “Pig? Don’t you mean Elephant Haley?” Haley said, “Did I say you could call me Haley? I recall telling Beta Matt HE could call me Haley. YOU are not Beta Matt, and I’m not sure I like you. YOU can call me Princess or Princess Haley. For now anyway.” Beta Alfred frowned, as Princess Haley continued, “Why would I say Elephant?” Beta Alfred said, “Because that’s the saying.” The Princess threw her head back, “I CAN’T HANDLE THIS REALM’S SAYINGS ANYMORE! WHY would wolves have ANYTHING to do with an elephant? Have NONE of you heard of the wolf and the piggy’s houses? This problem is OBVIOUSLY the brick house the wolf is trying to blow down but can’t because it’s a brick house. See your problem is we don’t need anyone to blow it down, we need f*****g Dynamite. Which in case anyone was curious… Is me.” I was howling in laughter. Alfred was trying not laugh. Even Sophia was hiding her smirk. Derrick had tears pouring out of his eyes. Matt spoke, “Ok, I want one of our own. Our pack needs a fairy.” Blade smiled, “Is Fun. Is trouble.” 

            Princess Haley said, “Umm… excuse me. It’s not my fault trouble finds me. I go about minding my own damn business and trouble just POPs up like a bad habit i can’t get rid of.” I heard a pop and Alpha Conners stood with his brother Alpha Jackson and another fairy. Princess Haley smiled, “Hello husband of mine. I see someone tattled. You’ve come to join our meeting?” The other fairy cackled, “Oh cousin… you are amazing.” She gave Princess Haley a kiss on the cheek, “Have fun with this...God I wish I could stay.” Princess Haley said, “Bye Bex.” The fairy waved at her and left after shooting me a wink. Sophia said, “Fabulous. Alpha Conners tell your mate to pop me back to my territory.” Haley said, “WILL YOU STOP RELYING ON A MAN TO GET WHAT YOU WANT?! I’m over your fall back mode of needing a man. I’ve been as nice about it as I’m willing to be. Put on your big girl panties Alpha Sophia, and the be the f*****g Alpha you are! Do you even REALIZE what you could be to ALL the first-born female pups of Alpha’s out there? YOU should be their beacon of hope. YOU should be who the aspire to be. The badass Female Alpha out there taking f*****g names and owning her s**t. LIKE THE BADASS YOU ARE! I should be asking you to join my badass girl gang, but NOOOO you are acting like a scaredy wolf. Give Alpha Chase his f*****g annulment you promised him before I let my fairy side pull hijinks on your ass for breaking a promise.” I looked at Matt liking him, “I think I love her.” Matt said, “You think? I’m making her my best friend before Reagan gets in on this train.” I linked Matt and Derrick, “For the record. This was not a problem.”

            Derrick answered, “Obviously, I spoke in haste. This is the best damn morning we’ve had around here in a long ass time.” Alpha Jackson said, “That’s not the saying Haley. It’s scaredy cat.” Haley said, “FOR GODS SAKE! She’s not a cat! She’s a wolf! This realm needs to fire it’s sayings guy.” We all laughed.  Sophia even smiled at her before saying, “You just don’t understand.” Alpha Conners laughed now. Haley’s eyes turned gold. “I KNOW your b***h ass didn’t just start a sentence with I don’t f*****g understand! I do understand. You have let a bunch old f*****g men say you can’t run your pack. Because they are ass backwards thinkers who can’t get with the times. I f*****g understand. YOU don’t understand. YOU LIED to Alpha Chase. I understand that too. You PROMISED him if he married you, you’d get an annulment. Now you’re refusing to give it to him. EXPLAIN YOURSELF! And I SWEAR to all the goddesses if you so much as GLANCE at my husband for help before your mouth opens; I WILL go fairy hijinks on your ass.” Sophia stared at Haley. Matt linked me, “I don’t’ know where to look. Is it bad I want Sophia to look at Alpha Conners? I want to see fairy hijinks.” I said, “I kind of do too.” Sophia sighed, “I need Chase’s name to keep my pack.” Haley stopped her, “No you f*****g don’t. But please, Continue.” Sophia closed her eyes, “They’d overthrow me.” Haley said, “How? How would they overthrow you? Your Beta is by your side. You’re the strongest damn wolf in your pack, and your warriors would fight alongside you.” Sophia said, “Some of them would, yes.” Haley smiled, “And I thought this was going to be hard problem to solve. No, that’s a lie. I knew this was an easy problem to solve, you’re just the thick skull I have to get through to. Kick the disloyal RATS OUT of your pack. As my friend Dylan would say BAM problem solved.”

            Sophia looked at Alpha Conners. A clear plea in her eyes. Matt linked me, “YES!” Sophia was thrown across the room into the opposite wall. My tree in the corner of my office began to grow. The branches began to wrap themselves around her. Alfred ran to help her when suddenly he was thrown back into Haley’s guard. Who wrapped Alfred up in an iron unescapable grip. Princess Haley spoke, “I did tell you NOT to look at my husband for help. Did I not? I recall saying those exact damn words.” She turned to Alpha Conners, “Eric… it’s not fair. I was TRYING to be nice. I made an appointment with her Beta and everything. She’s being f*****g unreasonable.” Alpha Conners smiled, “Maybe let her go.” Haley turned, “Has she learned her f*****g lesson?” Sophia growled, “Get this thing off me!” Haley said, “So that’s a no. She has not leaned her lesson. See here’s the thing Alpha Sophia. I’m disappointed because you’re letting all the she wolves down by failing to be who you are. AND you are standing in the way of someone I love’s path to happiness. Let me be f*****g clear. You don’t want to see me mad. I say this again because clearly once isn’t good enough for you. If ONE tear is shed from Alpha Chase’s mate, you will wish you had put on your f*****g big girl panties when I f*****g told you to. ARE WE CLEAR?” Matt linked me, “THE f**k?!” Sophia looked at me, “You met your mate Chase?!” I said, “No.” Haley said, “He doesn’t know who she is, but I do.” Derrick said, “Ummm Princess, could you tell us who our Luna is?” Haley turned, “And you are?” Derrick said, “Gamma Derrick, Princess.” She studied him then said, “You too can call me, Haley. I’d LOVE to tell you who your Luna is. As soon as Alpha Sophia realizes she’s a f*****g badass who doesn’t need a man and gives Chase the annulment she promised him; I’d love nothing more than to give Alpha Chase her name to track down. Really it would be a win for all of us. I wouldn’t be pain, my friend would be happy, and Alpha Chase WOULD make my friend happy because… I f*****g said so.” 

            Beta Alfred said, “Pain?” Princess Haley said, “Yes, Pain. Pain from not telling Alpha Chase who his mate is.” Matt linked me, “Never fight with your mate. You’d be so f****d. How are you?” I said, “I’m in a weird space.” Matt replied, “Sounds about right.” The Princess turned to Sophia, “Even YOU would be happy. I know you don’t think you would be, but you would. Wanna know why? Because your wolf would be all f**k YES b***h! We don’t need a man to do what we were born to do. Then you could be in our badass girl gang. We are fun! Everyone says so.” Matt linked me, “I need to know what that is.” Sophia said, “What the HELL is a badass girl gang?” The princess looked confused, “It’s our group of girls that gets together and hangs out. We have fashion shows, there was a runaway and everything. We had Sexy lingerie, food, fairy amorous rituals, and dressing up. Then we got drunk. Well… all but the Prego’s. They didn’t get drunk.” I gaped. Derrick linked Matt and I, “Ummm… I want an invite to her girls’ gang whatever day. I want to see hot badass women in lingerie.” Matt snorted then replied, “So… Chase’s mate was probably there. She’s clearly friends with Haley.” The thought of Lexi in sexy lingerie got me hard. I growled, “Shut up Matt.” Sophia said, “What kind of girls day is that? Normally we just...” Alpha Conners growled in warning. Sophia stopped talking, and all our eyebrows shot up. Haley frowned, “Did I do the girl gang day wrong Eric?” Alpha Conners glared at Sophia, “No, you didn’t, Angel.” Haley sighed, “Google didn’t have any ideas. I thought it was good.” Alpha Conners hugged Haley, “It was good. You guys had fun that’s the point. Isn’t it, Alpha Sophia?” Alfred cringed at his tone. Sophia said, “Right ummm he’s right. That’s the point.” The Princess smiled again, “Good. Because I’d have to re-do ALL the plans for the next one if I did it wrong.” Alpha Conners kissed her, “No need for that. We all love your girl gang days.” The Princess giggled and clapped. Alpha Jackson linked me, “He’s not joking. It’s a gift to us all. Eric might kill Sophia if Haley changed it. The Hackura had their tech guy block her google search about girl’s day because her version is better.” I laughed out loud. 

            Sophia said, “Chase, will you please tell her to release me? This is YOUR office.” Haley sighed, “How about this? When you do something all by your badass self... I’ll tell the vines to release you.” She spoke in fealish and Sophia grew a beard. Sophia growled. Alpha Conners responded with his own shaking everything in my office. “Man he’s just… hot. I mean he just is.” Matt linked me. I said, “Not to me, he’s not.” Alpha Conners said, “Do not EVER growl at my mate again Sophia. I will disband our alliance faster than you can blink and tell all my allies to consider it as well.” Matt linked, “COME ON! That was f*****g hot. He just defended her...in that tone. It drips of the promise of death and somehow s*x. It’s hot man.” I said, “Please stop. I beg of you to make me stop picturing how the two of you got together.” Matt smirked at me. Alpha Sophia said, “She’s disrespecting me.” Princess Haley said, “Then demand some respect Alpha Sophia.” Sophia looked at Haley, “I will calmly discuss everything with you if you would let me sit in a chair. Not held by a freaking tree.” Haley smiled and the vines released Sophia and the guard released Alfred. Alfred ran to Sophia. “Was that so hard? Putting on the big girl panties is addicting right?” Sophia almost growled at her again, then stopped. She sat down, “I need more time. What you’re talking about means I need to confirm the loyalties I have. I don’t want to cut someone off when they would’ve stood with me.” Haley said, “I can help you with that. People can’t lie to me if I don’t let them.” Sophia’s eyebrows raised. Haley looked at her, “Why are you pushing back on your promise to Alpha Chase? What happened?”

            Matt linked me, “What if we just keep her?” I replied, “Alpha Conners would slaughter us all as he did the vampires.” Matt sighed, “Such a shame. She’s a national treasure. All the werewolves should protect her.” I replied, “We did. We all stood with him when she was taken.” Mat said, “True. He was...unhappy.”  Sophia said, “When Alpha Chase left for Europe, I thought it was the perfect time to show my pack what I was made of. I did. We got attacked by more rouges on our border with Alpha Hammond, but we handled it. Even though Chase’s pack was attacked too, members of the pack saw it as people seeing weakness and coming for us. A few of my pack members even tried to overthrow me. They knew Alfred wouldn’t help, but they went to my Gamma. He was one of my best friends growing up and until the moment he turned on me. I had to take him down. He’s in my dungeons, but we kept that quiet because I didn’t want people to think I was weak.” Alpha Conners didn’t look surprised in the least, but I about fell over. Princess Haley sat back, “I am sorry that happened to you. Betrayals are hard to get over. I speak from personal experience.” Sophia looked started, “I know. You made me tell you that?” Princess Haley said, “I filtered out your deceit. So your treacherous Gamma is the reason for your stall?” Sophia put her hands in her head, “We are putting data together on who all was in on it. He won’t tell us, but we have a list. I need to be sure. I love my pack. My father loved these people. I can’t banish or sentence them to die without proof. I appreciate your offer for help, but I want to do this on my own.” 

            The Princess evaluated her, “Fine, but what I said earlier stands. If one tear is shed by Alpha Chase’s mate over, you. I’ll kick your f*****g ass until you’re purple and blue.” Sophia snorted, “I’m not easy to take down.” The Princess said, “I’m not just a fairy. I’m a Hackura princess. Only Eric, my brothers, or my father could stop me if I was truly angry. If Alpha Chase’s mate is hurt by this in any way. I WILL be f*****g pissed off six different ways past f*****g angry. Get your s**t done quickly Alpha Sophia. By the way. An annulment is quiet. No one would have to know you and Chase weren’t together. Just ya know, a thought from my genius mind that people tend to f*****g ignore. I’ll pop you two things back to your office. I am hopeful we won’t have to another chat because I REALLY do want you to join our girl gang of bad asses Sophia; However, if you turn out to be a treacherous b***h liked Claudzilla and Chrisassty I’ll take you out. Alpha Chase will his own head office decoration like my husband and my lion do.” Sophia gaped at her in surprise. I linked Alpha Conners, “Head decoration?” Alpha Conners linked me, “It’s even fairy charmed. If you try to move it… it zaps you and her voice yells at you that you can’t move it.” Sophia said, “I’m not like them.” Haley said, “Been burned by the she wolves before with that line, so you’ll just have to prove it to me. I truly hope you aren’t. I hope I can tell my daughter to look at you as an example one day as a she wolf who took her rightful place in her pack. Speaking of”. She conjured a bunch of papers. “If anyone wants to get popped home, you will sign this lovely proposal my husband put together.”

            I smiled and signed my name. Sophia said, “You didn’t even read it Chase!” I said, “I already know what it is. It’s a proposal that any first-born female to be allowed to take over a pack as is her birthright if she wants. That the strongest warrior in the packs can be female or male. Females should be given the option to participate for the lead warrior position.” Alfred and Sophia gaped. Matt and Derrick signed the proposal. My dad shuffled into the office and signed it too. He shot me a wink before he left, “Heard the growls and the wall slamming. I was too entertained to leave.” I said, “Who could blame you? We all were.” Sophia nodded and signed the proposal. Alfred did too. “I don’t like how you treated my Alpha, Princess.” Haley said, “I don’t like how your Alpha is treating Alpha Chase and by extension someone I love. I don’t give a s**t about you or Alpha Sophia. My friend has been my side since I met her. She was there for me when I didn’t even realize it. She picked me up at my lowest. Now I stand here with my mate more loved and happier than I have ever f*****g been. She has saved my life on more than one occasion. I want her to find the happiness I have because without her those small steps I took to regain myself wouldn’t have been taken. My family and her put me back together. To be clear, I would kill your entire pack for her. My loyalty is unwavering once earned, and Alpha Chase’s mate has it unquestioningly. Don’t push me, and don’t you f*****g DARE hurt her.” Alfred stepped back in shock. Sophia said, “Don’t threaten my pack.” Haley said, “It’s not a threat. I’m straight up telling you I would do it. No one f*****g listens to me Eric.” Sophia glared at Alpha Conners, “You should tell your mate that’s not how allies talk to each other. She’s your Luna.”
