Protect Our Own Pt. 3

   Ted’s head came up startled, “You killed them.” I said, “And burned their bodies. No one disrespects our people like that Ted. Even if I’m far away I’ll avenge it eventually. The Hackura have that right. Besides, you're my ride or die bestie. Like Hell, I was going to let that go. They missed out on knowing the amazing person that you are.” Ted said, “I don’t want him to lose everything.” I said, “Hey… I won’t let that happen, and it didn’t look like Alpha Chase would either.” Ted snorted, “Yeesh… He was pissed. He’s out there too.” I said, “I didn’t see him.” Ted said, “He only came so far. I’m just a little bit faster than my Matt.” I said, “Don’t keep him in suspense. Come on.” I led him upstairs to my bathroom, “You splash water on your face. Then you get back out there and run back to that pack. You show your face with Matt. You were BORN to be their Beta’s string. You are a leader in that soul of yours, Ted. Their people need a TeleTed. They need someone they can come to who can gossip with them but keep their secrets they don’t feel comfortable going to the Alpha or Beta with. Our war goddess and their moon goddess knows that pack needs you. Susie already likes you.” Ted laughed, “She’s a doll.” I smiled, “She is. Matt loves you. I could see it in his eyes. I want to formally meet the man too, by the way.” Ted nodded and wiped his eyes. He splashed water on his face. I looked down, “Let me change if you want me to walk out with you.” I grabbed some shorts and a cami. I took Ted’s hand, “You were born for this Ted. I believe in you, and so does Matt. I’ll be there anytime you need me to keep you and him safe. Haley would be right there with me. I’ll protect your happiness because you are part of mine. You are a piece of me Ted, and no one will hurt you and be left standing.” Ted snorted, “Haley kicked that old fogey’s ass. You are part of me too, Lex. I want you to be happy.” I laughed, “She did kick ass. I am happy Ted.” 

            We walked outside the barrier. I smiled, “You must be Matt.” Matt managed to briefly shake my hand before yanked Ted into a hug. “Don’t do that to me. I was so worried you were going to leave me, and I couldn’t even get to you.” Ted stroked the back of his neck, “It’s alright. I’m here. I just needed girl time.” Matt kissed Ted fiercely then rested his forehead on his, “I won’t lose you, Ted.” Ted said, “Well, my girl basically told me I can’t live in fear or let some old fogies get me down. She said I was born for this. Destined by goddesses to be a leader in your pack. Who am I to argue with my girl or goddesses?” Without letting go of Ted’s hand Matt gave me a side hug. “Thank you, Lexi.” I smiled, “I expect a sit down meal with the two of you sometime soon so we can properly get to know each other. Rather than over the phone and in crisis mode.” Matt wiped his own tears away, “Whatever you want.” Ted said, “Don’t cry Matt.” Matt said, “Don’t run away from me like that again. I’m glad you waited until the pack couldn’t see you run, but … I thought you were going to push me away.” Ted snorted, “I couldn’t if I tried. My plan was to stay away from the pack. Out of sight out of mind, ya know?” I said, “f**k that! They need you, or you wouldn’t be destined for each other. Go be their beta male… Is that your title?” Matt laughed, “It is.” I smiled, “Then go be their TeleTed. They will love you just like we do. Oh, and Matt. I know this is a formality, but I verbal confirmation from you should a situation where Ted needs protection your pack will be his safe haven. Our leader demands confirmation or he will take Ted home should a situation where his life is threatened.” Matt growled, “HE’S MINE!” I said, “I know. I just need to verbally say Ted will be protected.” Matt said, “Ted’s place is by my side. Should whatever organization you are part cause anyone to come at him they will have to come through me and my pack.” 

         I smiled, “Good. Now Ted, when are you telling everyone in our organization you found your… person.” Ted smiled, “I’d shout it from the rooftops, but I’d like to wait and see if we can plug this leak. I don’t want my wolfie in danger because of me.” I nodded, “Then I’ll just tell our leader we got verbal confirmation from your… friend. Which is why I told him they would guard you. Because you made a friend.” Ted laughed, “You told him I’d made a wolf friend? So adorable, and not even a lie.” I said, “Well go on. Show your pack that you don’t take s**t from anyone. Show them they can never get TeleTed down.” Ted kissed me on the cheek, “You are one in a million, Lex.” I said, “So are you. Go be you.” Ted laughed and they took off running. I walked back into my barrier, but not before the hint of sandalwood hit my nose. My whole body was vibrating. I need to relieve this pressure. I don’t know what that smell was, but it was driving me insane. I stripped my clothes as I walked inside. I went up to my room and opened my nightstand. Blessing Ted for getting me a vibrator. I closed my eyes and pictured Alpha Chase. I played with my c**t and I moaned. I thought about what He’d look like with his shirt off. Then I just pictured him full on naked with me. I pictured running my hands over his muscles. I ached for him. I turned on my vibrator and it slid right into me. I was dripping wet from the mere thought of Alpha Chase. Rather than reflect on that I turned on my vibrator and began pumping it inside me. In my head it was Chase and not a vibrator. I was so damn close. I flicked my hand over my c**t and came screaming, “CHASE!” I still wasn’t calm though I was still vibrating with need. I repeated that process three more times before my body was satisfied. I closed my eyes briefly hearing a growling sound outside. I shrugged it off and went to bed. 

      I woke up the next morning and called Ted. We went over the plans for both events we had today over the phone. Matt was doing paperwork since our organization wasn’t a threat to Ted being kidnapped and hidden. Sally had decided the staff Reagan had meant she could start at Ted’s event and end with mine after initial set ups. I hopped in the shower. I grabbed a short black dress that wasn’t too low cut but had a cut out to the back. I ran downstairs. Then smacked myself. I’d left my front door wide open. Thank god no one could see my house, or anyone could’ve come in. I rolled my eyes and ran outside. I ran to the club where my car should still be. Thank god it was still there. I hopped in and drove to Reagan and Cameron’s house. I worked with my crew making sure everything was set up. I waved to Sally as she headed out to make sure the other event was running smoothly. It was almost time for the party to start when I first saw Reagan. She came over, “You know… I wasn’t even worried everything was going to be done perfectly. I just knew. I slept in. Took Cameron for a ride on Reagan town. It was fabulous.” I laughed, “That’s what I’m here for.” Reagan smiled, “How have you been? Everything alright with your brother?” I laughed, “Nothing Haley and a little lightning couldn’t fix.” Reagan furrowed her brow. “You just had to hear Haley explain it.” Reagan smiled, “Well, I’m glad everything is good.”

          She lowered her voice, “I’m so glad your friend is Matt’s mate. I know I haven’t met him officially, but Cameron went to the announcement. Everyone is talking about the first Beta male.” I frowned, “There’s no way Matt is the first Beta to be gay.” Reagan said, “I’m sure he’s not. Either they were forced to step down, or father a child. It’s sad. The higher ups are told their line has to continue.” I frowned, “That’s not right.” Reagan said, “It’s not, but I’m proud of my brother-in-law. The first Alpha to stand with his Beta and have a Beta Male. I’m really excited about the direction the wolves as a group are trending in. I think it’s why the goddess is mingling us with other groups. We need them to move us forward. Princess Haley is behind the movement for girls to be able to be who they want to be in packs. Now your Ted is the face of our leaders being themselves right along with Matt. It’s very exciting.” I smiled, “I’m glad. No one should have to be someone they aren’t or lose their title to stay true to themselves.” Reagan said, “Peach it sister.” I laughed. “Hey… If I were to need to lay low… Could I come here?” Reagan frowned, “Are you in trouble?” I shook my head, “The thing with my brother… if he’d thought I was protected he wouldn’t have tried to bring me home.” Reagan nodded, “You will be protected here should you ever need it Lexi Scott.” I smiled. The event went really well. Sally made it back right at the end. I walked over to her.

        “How did everything go over at our other event?” I asked Sally. Sally smiled, “Oh Ted Charmed them. They signed a four event contract with you and me. It went REALLY well. Ted was wrapping up and taking it all down when I left.” I smiled, “Good.” Reagan came over to us, “I almost killed my husband over this party, but I think this was what everyone needed.” I looked around, “They do seem pretty relaxed as compared to other time we were here.” Reagan smiled, “We’ve been working on it, but this is good. I think we’ve opened some doors.” A little girl came up to us, “Luna… will you play tag on my team?” Reagan smiled, “Of course I will.” I said, “We are going to head out. I’m glad everything went smoothly.” Reagan smiled, “Thank you for everything! I could not have been relaxed about this or have pulled it off without you.” I nodded to Sally and she got in her car. I had just walked into my house when I heard a pop. I smiled, “Haley…” I trailed off when I saw her face, “What happened?” Haley said, “Suit up.” I opened my panel and grabbed my arrow gear. I put it on quickly. “What’s going on?” Haley's eyes blazed, “We are going to rescue Ted.” I paled, “WHAT?” Haley sighed, “One of Alpha Chase’s pack members bragged about how progressive their pack is to her cousin in Kentucky. He bragged to his pack, and some members didn’t see it that way. They drove all night, they kidnapped him. We are going to pop to him. It’s going to come out he’s hood since you’re with me. I can do it without you, but…” I said, “f**k that. Ted doesn’t go on missions. If it comes out, he’s part of the hood it will protect him. I won’t leave him in trouble. How long have they had him?” 

       Haley said, “I just popped Eric and Jackson to Alpha Chase. Not many packs around here know it’s even happened yet. I told Eric Emmaline and Lucas need a minute. Emmaline is still dealing with what she saw at the dance. It wasn’t real, but her soul needs Lucas. I told Beta Matt and Alpha Chase I’d handle it. That there was no need to call in other packs because Ted would be back shortly.” I looked and saw Blade in the corner, “You disappear so fast Blade. Let’s go get Ted and kill some assholes.” Haley grabbed me. We popped to tree cover in a field. I heard Ted scream, “DON’T DO IT MATT!” Followed by a hit. I hissed, “I’ll kill them.” I notched an arrow and began to let them fly. We’d killed those guarding the perimeter easily working our way inside. We went through a broken window I’d spotted. Haley signaled me. She felt twenty unfriendlies and Ted. I nodded and we split up. We reached the room where they were holding Ted. My anger consumed me. Ted was bleeding. One of the men spoke, “He wasn’t even hard to take.” Matt growled, “I WILL KILL YOU!” The wolf laughed, “You marked him, so meet our demands. Step down as Beta.” Ted said, “Don’t!” Alpha Chase said, “You will all die for taking our Beta Male. I’ll follow you all the way back to Kentucky if need be. I will declare war between us. Give him back to us, NOW!” I shivered. His tone was so hot. FOCUS LEXI! Another man raised a knife. His intent was clear; he was going to cut Ted. I let my arrow fly. I hit him in the hand holding the knife. Killing him too quickly wasn’t something I wanted for him. The man screamed and I sank three arrows into his chest. Ted’s gaze shot to me. He laughed, “Well, it’s about time.” Haley took half the room out, and I jumped down from my perch. I sank my arrows into several of them before I got to the man who’d been speaking. “In your arrogance you made a VERY stupid mistake.” The man was shaking, “Why are you even here Black Arrow?” I said, “Because we come for our own.” Ted smirked and I heard gasps on the computer. The man looked horrified, “He’s hood? HIM?” I said, “Yes, he’s one of us.” I slammed my bow into his face then quickly snapped his neck.

Haley had handled the other side of the room. Haley stepped towards him, “Ted, do you want me to pop you to Matt before I heal you?” Ted said, “Yes. Thank you, BA. I just knew someone was coming.” I smiled, “Any time. No one messes with our people and lives Ted. I’m sure the Hood himself will have a lovely chat with the ass backwards pack in Kentucky. This is the start of the wrath they will feel for taking a hood member and hurting them.” I touched his face and he winced. Haley said, “Well, let’s get going.” Haley popped us to my place. Ted hugged me, “Thank you Lex.” I said, “I know I outed who you were to Matt, I’m sorry.” Ted shrugged, “You’ve solidified that I can’t go on missions. I could kiss you. In fact” He kissed me on the cheek. “Thank you, Lex. Seriously. Not upset, and now I can tell Matt. He’ll know your hood too though.” I shrugged, “But not who I am within the hood. It’s not like hood members don’t blend into other businesses. It won’t be assumed I’m hood, even if it is. I don’t travel as Lexi Scott. So it’s fine. Everyone in the hood will find out that you’ve found your string now though.” Ted gave me another hug before he stepped back, “That’s fine. We will figure it out. The situation was out of our hands. I can already hear my mom yelling from here about me not telling her immediately I’d found him.” I laughed.  Haley said, “I’ll have him call you Lex, after he’s healed. It would spread around that he got taken.” I nodded, “I’ll call my brother. I’m sure since we are friends it makes sense anyway that you called me; should it get asked though, my brother is out of town.” Haley nodded, “Always good to have that knowledge.” She smiled at me and popped them away.
