CHAPTER FIVE David Alan had arrived at ABS in his new eighteen thousand dollar Mercedes Benz. He had driven in from his beach home in New Port Beach. It was a nice drive on the freeway which took him an hour. He liked the ride because it gave him time to be alone and think. He nodded to the guard as he entered the artist's entrance, then went on down the hall to his office he shared with one of the writers. He picked up his mail and looked through it quickly, then picked up a stack of music which had been mailed to him. People mailed songs to him from all over the world. Some of the songs were good ... most of them were dogs. He laughed out loud at some of the song titles. One was, "I'm doin' my laundry in a quandary over you, baby, 'cause you said goodbye last night!" Dick Kenny enter
