Jesse rested his back against the chair in the interview room at the police station, shaking his head. “But I told you, Angelo. Derek would not do this. It is crazy.”
Angelo leaned forward and clasped his hands together. He lifted up his shoulders as if in readiness for his next question. “I am sorry to put you through this, Jesse, but we have come across a few new leads. It’s important we get our facts straight. Now, tell me. What was Erica’s relationship like with Derek?”
