Kendall approached the Arterion from an alley with the dynamite stick tucked under his shirt. The area underneath the overpass was surprisingly empty, which he was happy about. He didn’t know what he would do if he encountered anyone.
He hopped a fence and landed in a protected area near the highway pillar. A wave of concrete spread toward the pillar, and it was littered with pebbles and trash.
He passed underneath the overpass, and cars whirred above him. The overpass swung every time a car zipped over its joints.
It felt strange to be at the bottom of the busiest highway in the city.
At the top of one of the overpass columns he saw a breaker box linked to the digital road signs.
