When the apocalypse struck, the world turned into a deadly game. Monsters roamed the streets, dungeons opened in every city, and humanity became prey.

Ethan Kane was betrayed by his closest ally and left to die during humanity’s final stand. But instead of death, he awakens in a new world—reborn with a mysterious “Last Player System.”

Now, armed with knowledge of the future and a system no one else possesses, Ethan must fight his way through dungeons, build his power, and take revenge on those who betrayed him.

But as the world itself begins to collapse into chaos, he realizes one terrifying truth:

He isn’t just playing the game… he’s the last player keeping it alive.

Will he rise as humanity’s savior—or its final executioner?

The Last Stand
The world was burning. The sky itself had split open, torn apart by cracks of violet lightning that stretched endlessly across the heavens. Cities that once thrived with life were reduced to crumbling ruins, crawling with monstrous creatures that had poured out of dungeons like a plague. Ethan Kane stood at the edge of the battlefield, his sword dripping with black blood. His armor was shattered, his body broken, but his eyes—those sharp, cold eyes—still burned with the fire of survival. Around him, humanity’s last survivors fought desperately against the endless wave of abominations. They called this day The Final Raid. Humanity’s last chance. “Push forward!” Ethan roared, swinging his blade with what little strength he had left. His voice cut through the chaos, rallying the few remaining hunters at his side. For years, Ethan had been a player in this twisted game the world had become. Dungeons, monsters, systems, and quests—no one had asked for it, but when the world changed, you either played… or you died. And Ethan had played better than anyone. But he wasn’t the only one. Behind him, his most trusted comrade—his brother-in-arms—approached with bloodied armor and a sharp glint in his eyes. “Ethan,” the man said, his tone strangely calm amidst the chaos. “It’s over. We can’t win this.” Ethan gritted his teeth. “We don’t stop now. If we fall here, humanity ends!” But before he could react, cold steel pierced through his back. The betrayal was sudden, sharp, and merciless. Ethan stumbled forward, blood filling his lungs as the man he had trusted more than anyone twisted the blade deeper. “Why…?” Ethan gasped, dropping to his knees. The man leaned close, his voice a whisper. “Because only one of us can be the last player. And it won’t be you.” With one final push, Ethan was cast forward into the swarm of monsters. Claws ripped at his flesh, fangs tore into his body, and the world dissolved into darkness. For a moment, there was nothing. No pain. No light. Just the void. And then— [ System initializing… ] [ Last Player Protocol Activated. ] [ Do you wish to continue? Y/N ] Ethan’s fading consciousness trembled. His body was gone, but his will… his will remained. “Yes,” he whispered. The void exploded into light. His wounds vanished, his armor was restored, and his body felt whole again. But when he opened his eyes, the battlefield was gone. He stood in a new world. A place he had never seen before. The air shimmered with strange energy, and towering trees with glowing veins stretched toward a crimson sky. [ Welcome, Ethan Kane. ] [ You have been chosen as the Last Player. ] Ethan clenched his fists, rage burning hotter than ever. He remembered the betrayal, the pain, the monsters devouring his body. He had been killed. But he had been reborn. And this time, he wouldn’t just play the game. This time, he would master it. This time… he would make them all pay.
