Darkness.

It surrounds us, from the vast expanse of the earth to the heights of the sky, if light had never existed. Yet, light too, has no true meaning without the contrast of darkness. The two forces, though complementary, are kept at odds, separated by an unspoken line that no one dares to cross. In a world where crossing the boundary between light and dark is seen as a sin, what happens when you discover the light within your own shadow?

What if you realize the darkness inside you can only be tamed by the light you’ve always watched from afar? Would you dare to break the barrier? Would you summon the courage to reach for the blinding hope you've long desired?

For love, would you BreakThrough?

PROLOGUE
--- The wind howled, the rain pouring in heavy sheets, slashing against the turbulent ocean below. Massive waves crashed violently across what had once been dry land. Levi stood in the helicopter, eyes fixed on the churning water below where Shane hung from a rope, his body swaying with the force of the storm. “Pull!” shouted the rescuer above the howling chaos, his voice barely audible over the storm. Shane, having secured the civilian, gripped the rope tightly as he stared at the man beside him, still seething with anger. Levi couldn’t look away from him, the guilt in his eyes undeniable. The rain lashed against their faces, blurring their vision, but neither of them dared look down at the fury of the waves below. The noise of the crashing water drowned out all other sounds, leaving only the sound of their own ragged breaths. But then, a sharp, gut-wrenching snap of tension broke through the roar—the rope was starting to fray, the weight of both men too much. "Pull faster!" Levi shouted over the storm, his voice strained with panic. "We can’t!" Ten, one of Shane’s friends, yelled back. "The rope won’t hold!" Levi’s heart raced, and in his desperation, he looked down at Shane, still unaware of the worsening situation. His mind spun as he ran a hand through his hair in frustration. “Shane! Hold on! The rope’s going to break! We need another way!” Ten called, but even he knew there was no time to come up with a solution. The wind howled louder, as if urging them to act. The tsunami was coming—time was running out. Shane’s grip tightened around the rope, his fingers brushing the silver ring on his hand. He stared at it one last time, his heart heavy with an impossible choice. A tear slipped from his eye, lost to the rain. “Listen to me,” Shane said, his voice steady despite the storm. “You need to take this up to Levi,” he said, handing the ring to the man beside him with a heavy heart. The stranger, shaken, met his eyes and nodded. His hands trembled as he took the ring. Shane’s gaze never wavered, and his voice was barely a whisper. “I love him... so much.” The stranger looked at Shane for a long moment, understanding what was at stake, and the weight of Shane’s words settled in. But duty called, and with a final look at Shane, he turned to carry out the request. Levi’s heart sank when he saw the sorrow in Shane’s eyes—something in them told him that it was a final goodbye. He shook his head, mouthing "No!" over and over, but before he could shout, Shane unbuckled his harness and, with one last, lingering glance at Levi, plunged into the storm-tossed sea. "Shane!" Levi screamed, his voice strangled with disbelief. The world seemed to fall silent. The wind softened, the waves quieted, and the rain’s rhythm faltered. Time felt as though it had stopped. All that remained was the memory of the splash as Shane disappeared into the water, swallowed by the sea. Levi’s heart raced as his lungs struggled to draw in air, but the pain in his chest was too much to bear. For what felt like an eternity, there was nothing—no sign of Shane, no trace of his fall. The water was still, the world around Levi silent and cold. And then, with the second strike of the tsunami, the sea seemed to mourn with him, the gray sky above reflecting the sorrow below. This moment would haunt those who survived, and though some might forget, for Levi, it was a disaster that would change everything—and lead him down a path no one could have predicted. ---
