Sylvia, an art history graduate student with the alter ego of Scorpion, a notorious thief.

Male Lead: Gino, a disabled man who uses a wheelchair and has facial scars, with the alter ego of Tucker, also a panther-like thief.

By day, I'm Sylvia, a quiet graduate student in art history, sporting thick-rimmed glasses and a passion for ancient relics. By night, I transform into Scorpion, a seductive redhead and the most notorious thief in the black market for priceless art.

I've never failed a mission... until now. Who is this panther-like figure with moves that outmatch mine, stealing the treasures I've set my sights on, and then trying to drag me into bed?

Oh, come on! I already have a boyfriend! Sure, he's in a wheelchair, with a face marred by scars, but he's the only person who truly understands me.

But everything spiraled out of control after Tucker and I accidentally ended up in bed together...

Chapter 1 Little Stick?
Sneaking into Lyndora's largest private art collection while dodging security cameras wasn't easy—at least, not for most thieves. But I had never failed. They called me Scorpion. Maybe it was because of my scorpion mask and red hair, but honestly, I didn't care what they called me. I navigated the gallery effortlessly, like I was walking through my own bedroom. Hidden in a blind spot on the second floor, I watched as a group of muscle-bound men huddled around a locked chest below. The chest had just been flown in by helicopter, and a giant, tattered map was spread out on the wall. Taking that chest would be a breeze, but I had bigger plans for the map. A guy with stubble pulled out a walkie-talkie. "The acting curator and the president finished dinner. They'll be here in twenty minutes to lift the lockdown." Another guy, this one in sunglasses, shined a flashlight on the massive map. "This looks like a treasure map. Didn't the old curator donate these to the country? Why is it here?" Stubble Guy shot him a warning glare. "Know when to shut up." I couldn't help but chuckle softly. "Why is it here? Because the acting curator is greedy, obviously." "But she's not having it," I whispered, effortlessly sliding down from the ornate column I was perched on. With a quick flick of my finger, I triggered the alarm. The piercing sound echoed through the hall, smoke quickly filling the air. "What the hell is happening? We can't let the cops show up!" Stubble Guy yelled as they scrambled to put out the smoke, smash the alarm, and keep watch all at once. A small device rolled into the corner. Before Stubble Guy could inspect it, it exploded, releasing a blinding, stinging cloud that made their eyes tear up and swell shut. In the chaos, I darted through the smoke and snatched the chest. As I slipped out of the hall, I heard Stubble Guy's enraged shout. "f**k! The chest is gone!!" 'By tomorrow, they'll all be out of a job. Well, that's what they get for working for the wrong boss.' Inside the narrow ventilation duct, there wasn't much light, but my night vision was pretty good. I squinted, counting the items inside the chest. The largest piece, a ceramic vase, had a faint "B" etched into it, almost blending with the design. Artifacts with special symbols all had one thing in common—they'd been part of the collection of Carrie, the most renowned female collector and former curator of the Joya Collection. 'If I can gather all the letters, I might be able to crack Mom's secret and decipher that treasure map.' Excitement bubbled up inside me. Tonight had been worth the risk. The map was key. I had to trigger the alarm to get my hands on it. Better in the police's custody than in the hands of the current curator—I would get another shot at it there. Suddenly, a deep male voice cut through the darkness. "Sweetheart, you think you can carry all that by yourself?" At the same time, a large hand clamped onto my shoulder. It seemed casual, but it locked me in place. I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. 'How the hell did this guy get here? And how did he manage to sneak up on me?' I looked up, keeping my expression neutral. The man in front of me was tall, his muscles defined even in the dim light. He was also wearing a half-mask. 'Great, just my luck—another thief.' The duct was cramped, forcing him to crouch, one hand braced on the floor like a dangerous panther. "Share with me." He grinned. Judging by his build, I knew I wouldn't win in a straight fight. 'Too bad for him, this duct is so tight that he won't be able to fully use his strength.' I made a snap decision and lashed out with a kick! But the guy was fast. He caught my foot and yanked hard. 'Damn it!' I lost my balance. I twisted my other leg, locking it around his arm, flipping our positions. He had to let go but did so in a way that sent him toppling over, right on top of me. His weight crashed down, with the chest between us, forcing a pained groan from my lips. "Ugh..." The jerk leaned in, his breath hot against my ear. "Sweetheart, you're eager, aren't you? Now I really don't want to let you go." I never expected to be hit on in a situation like this, for I had never failed a job before! His breath was all around me, unsettling, but I couldn't let it show. I controlled my expression, smiling instead of showing anger. "Then I'll make you." But the guy wasn't intimidated. Instead, he pressed his hips between my legs. I instinctively tried to struggle, but the closeness made it awkward—my every move looked like I was begging for more! As our bodies pressed together, I became painfully aware of a certain change. Feeling something hard against me, I froze, not daring to move. 'This sick bastard! He's actually turned on?!' He felt no shame, asking instead, "Sweetheart, are you here to steal things, or are you after something else?" 'I swear that I'm going to make him pay for this when I get out of here!' Sirens sounded outside. Any longer, and we'd be trapped. This cocky bastard was also a thief—offering him part of the loot might be the only way out. In a more cooperative tone, I suggested, "How about we get out of here first, and then I'll give you a cut of what's inside." The jerk deliberately pressed his hips against me again, making our lower bodies grind together even more. His voice turned husky. "What if I changed my mind? I want the loot... and you." A shiver ran down my spine. I wanted nothing more than to kick this jerk in the face, but I had to keep him calm. Hence, I quickly changed the subject. "I know, but let's get out first." It seemed like he listened, pulling me up with one hand while taking the chest with the other. I acted like I didn't mind at all and led him deeper into the duct. "There's a drain on the right that we can use to get out. Follow me." The drain was just wide enough for me. This guy was much bigger—I'd lose him there! But to my surprise, he didn't listen. Instead, he yanked me in the other direction. "Sweetheart, I know a better way out. Why don't you come with me?" 'Damn it, he knows this place just as well as I do!' We quickly exited the duct and into a small garden. The drop was a bit high, so the man jumped down first and then extended a hand to help me. 'As if I'd ever fall for that!' I jumped down, altering my stance mid-air to slam my knee into his chest and sprayed him with a fine powder. "See ya!" The powder hit him, forcing him to cover his eyes, dropping the chest. But the jerk must've expected it. The chest wasn't fully closed, and the contents spilled out! My heart jumped into my throat. I lunged forward, barely catching the fragile ceramic. "You really are a venomous scorpion!" The man rubbed his eyes, trying to clear the powder, his voice full of mock hurt. I smirked coldly, finally having the chance to pay him back for the crap he pulled in the duct. "Try messing with me again with that little stick of yours, and I'll make sure it's gone for good!" He shrugged. "Little stick? Maybe next time you can try it out and then tell me how you feel." I was stunned by his shamelessness! Ignoring him, I quickly gathered the spilled artifacts, but he held something up. "Sweetheart, if I can't have it, neither can you!" With a bang, a flare shot into the sky, lighting up the entire garden. Footsteps rapidly converged on our location. 'He fired a flare?! This guy is insane! I should've shot him when I had the chance!' With no time left, I grabbed what I could and scaled the wall, shouting back at him, "Bastard! Just you wait!" After all, he was a thief too. To cross me, he was willing to expose himself? I just didn't get it. As I made my escape, I glanced back one last time. He wiped the powder from his eyes, watching me with a mysterious smile. The guards and police were closing in on him, but he showed no sign of running.
