PAUL LEAVES CLAUDIA with Laura, who’s more than thrilled to have her. Other than the couple of weeks after she was born, when Laura came out to L.A. to visit and help with the baby, she’s not seen her more than a couple of times. Paul feels guilty about that, even though it’s not his issue and is, Alex’s crazy aside, just a reality of living on the other side of the country from their families. His mother and Sarah haven’t seen Claudia much more than Laura has. He’s aware that Alex may freak out at him for leaving their daughter alone with his mother, but leaving Claudia with her is certainly preferable to bringing the baby to the scene of Alex’s anxiety.
