Chapter 26 (Her Wrath)
“Where have you been?” he asked me. His face displays worry and so, I hugged him tight.
“I’m sorry for not letting you know. I crossed paths with the Carlins.”
“What? Did they do something bad? Did they inflicted pain on you baby?” he asked. He checked my face then my limbs, looking for wounds or so.
“My limbs are still intact. No worries baby, they did not hurt me. I won’t let them even if they want to do it. I just talked to them in private and visited Gran’s tomb,” I explained. He sighed in relief and then he pulled me towards him for a tight hug. I hugged him back and I let all my worries and tensions inside to be gone.
“You need to tell me what happened. Everything that happened there. I don’t want to miss any information.”
