The state park

-PRESENT- I was out of the shower and brushing my teeth, as the door opened and Ava walked in, looking all sorts of sexy. She came standing behind me as she rested her head against my back, her arms wrapped around my waist. Goddess, I love this woman! I took my toothbrush out of my mouth and spit out everything I had in my mouth before looking at her through the mirror. “Look at you, giving me all Daisy Duke vibes, you pretty little thing.” I smirked at Ava, who’s eyes peeked over my shoulder, seeing she was wearing jeans shorts and a black bra, which made my wolf howl inside of me. She let go of me, as her eyes scanned through the bathroom. “I had a black tank top, should be around here somewhere.” Her smile grew once she spotted it and pulled it over her head, my wolf Hunter puffing and laying himself back down as our mate covered her killer body with the piece of fabric. I pouted as our eyes crossed, which made her giggle, my favorite sound in the world. “I liked your previous outfit more.” I whined as I turned around, pulling her closer. “Be a good boy today and I’ll let you see it again tonight.” She hummed as her arms wrapped around my neck, leaning in as she stood on her tip toes, our lips meeting as her fingers crawled up into my brown curls, something I had learned through the months, was one of my mate’s favorite features about me. I placed my hands on Ava’s hips and pulled her up, placing her on the tiniest piece of wood next to the sink, which was built to put your supplies on it, such as a toothbrush and a comb, or in my case, the sexiest she wolf on the planet. I playfully bit her bottom lip, which made her yelp and giggle as she squeezed her legs around my waist, pulling me closer towards her, earning my growl and grin in return. *I’m WAITING here!* Mason all of a sudden linked at the both of us, making Ava lose her grip on me, as she let her head fall back. “Sun of a witch.” She growled as I stepped back, letting her jump off the sink. We quickly took all of our things, putting them in our backpacks. Ava was putting on her sneakers as I opened the door, seeing Mason was waiting outside for us. He lifted his eyebrows at me as he walked inside. “You guys always take too long, if the cleaning staff sees us, we’re screwed!” I rolled my eyes at him as he walked past me and I closed the door behind me. “Mason, relax, what are they going to do? Call the police? We would be out of here before they could have a phone in their hands.” Mason sighed deep as he looked at me. He knew I was right, he just didn’t like to be alone. “ OK, ready.” Ava sighed as she got up from the bed. Mason nodded as he made his way outside to our car. As Ava passed me, I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her towards me, pushing my lips on her forehead. I looked down to see she was smiling at me, whenever my mate was feeling down or angry, a simple sign of affection did wonders for her. It was funny to see how well we already knew each other, seeing we had only been together two months. We made it to our car and got in. Mason climbed into the back seat, while me and Ava sat in the front. I put on my sunglasses before driving off, since well... Florida. Ava put on the air conditioning. It was ten in the morning, but it was already hot as hell and humid outside. I put our coordinates for the day into the GPS system as we drove off to our stop for the day; Bahia Honda state Park. It was a short one-hour drive to our destination, so I decided to make the best of our trip. The keys sure looked tropical. Houses in all the colors of the rainbow were situated next to the one street that you had to drive up and down in order to get to the different towns. Looking between the houses, you were 99% certain of seeing the ocean as their backyard. Looking at these tropical views as my hand rested on my mate's leg, life could be much harder than it was today. After an hour, we made it to the state park. We drove up to the tiny cabin, seeing an officer was waiting for us to pay our entrance fee. I nodded as he walked up to the car and I lowered our window. “Morning.” I smiled, nodding at the man. “Good morning, it will be 8$ for one car please.” He stated as his eyes scanned inside the vehicle, looking for anything off. “That won’t be necessary today, officer,” Mason told the man, which made him look at the backseat. The officer’s eyes glazed over for a moment, before they returned to their old color. He smiled as he nodded and stepped back. “Have a nice day.” He spoke as he let us pass. Ava growled as she turned back to look at Mason. “It was 8$, Djees Mason, we have money!” Mason rolled his eyes, making my wolf growl inside of me. Nobody rolls their eyes at my mate, not even one of my best friends. “We have to save up our money. If we run out before finding anything, we have to return home, without Seb knowing anything more than he already does, which is pretty much nothing.” I sighed as I saw a parking lot and parked the car in the shade. “Stop arguing like an old married couple you guys, just go and have a look around.” Ava growled as she stepped out, slamming the door closed behind her. I looked back towards Mason from the rearview mirror, feeling agitated. “Mason, seriously, you are about to let me die from blue balls if you keep it up like this.” Mason sighed as he looked out. “Just trying to help you, bro.” I nodded as I swallowed. “I know man, and I really appreciate it, but she is my mate.” I opened the door and looked back once again. “Can you look at the south side of the park, I’ll go east, we’ll meet back at the car? Link me when something’s wrong.” Mason nodded, not saying another word as he stepped out and started walking away. I immediately walked around the car, seeing Ava was leaning against it, her arms crossed in front of her chest. “I don’t like it that he is always using his magic everywhere, we could have easily paid for it like normal people.” She growled as she looked away from me. Ok, Now she is mad at me, just my f*****g luck. I sighed as I opened my arms to her. She backed away from the car and slowly fell in my embrace. Inhaling her scent was always my favorite drug. “I know baby, but he means well.” She looked up as a frown formed on her forehead, making her look like the cutest thing ever. “It makes me feel like we are Bonnie and Clyde, in a weird love triangle with the Gamma.” I laughed at her smart mouth, placing my hand under her chin and pulling it up, making her look at me. “Ain’t nobody going to get in a love formation with me except you.” I smiled at her, as I leaned in and slowly kissed her lips. I felt her calming down in my hands. I knew exactly which buttons to push to get her to relax. “Now, you take your gorgeous ass to the beach and relax a bit, I’ll have a look around and meet you there, OK?” She smiled as she nodded, taking a beach bag out of the trunk. “Thanks babe.” She smiled as she kissed me once again, before making her way towards the ocean. I sighed as I looked around, hoping to find answers soon, or my mate and my best friend were going to kill each other in a few weeks.
