The Hybrid Beta (#4 of the Denali pack)

The motel

I covered Ava’s eyes with my hands as she was standing at the door.

“Babe, what are you doing?” She giggled, while her fingers were searching for the doorknob, opening the door once she had found it. I looked around, still standing outside, hoping no one of the staff would be walking around and seeing us.

But then again, as if the staff would know the face of every person staying in this motel, not a chance! Motels were known for people staying there for a short amount of time, making it perfect for us to scoop under their radar and sleep for free. I switched on the light as one of my hands still covered Ava’s eyes.

“Is my princess ready for her surprise?” I whispered in her ear, feeling her lips curl in a lush smile for me.

“Yes!” She almost screamed, dying to see what I was shielding off from her. I lifted my hand, and I knew she was seeing it as she grasped for air.

“Baby! This is so cute!” She cried as she turned towards me and almost jumped at my neck. Her lips locked on mine. My arms automatically wrapped around her waist, pulling her close. With Mason being with us almost 24/7, I didn’t have the time to give my mate my undivided attention. I was determined to give it to her tonight. She turned around as my arms were still holding on to her while she looked around at the suite we were standing in. Apart from the kingsize bed we had for the night, the room also had a major Jacuzzi bathtub, smack in the middle of the room. The thought of seeing my mate in that thing woke up a deep need inside of me, the need to be close to her, to hold her without someone watching us or being our ‘third wheel.’ Now, we could finally be alone like normal mates. I locked the door from the inside as I threw both of our backpacks on a small couch which was standing in front of the window. Ava had already walked over to the Jacuzzi as she was putting on the water, pulling her tank top over her head as she threw it away, turning around and playfully smiling at me.

Oh Goddess me!

I just stood there, watching my mate tiptoe around the room, smiling wide as she found some small bottles such as shampoo and body wash, placing them on the side of the bath tub. She turned around as she took some towels and placed them next to them, before eyeing me as she opened the buttons on her jeans shorts.

“Are you just going to keep standing there and watch me like a freak, or are you actually going to join in on the fun?” I smirked at her smart mouth, my feet already walking over to her as she dropped her shorts and stepped out of them, showing me gorgeous black laced panties to match her bra.

“I’d like to watch this for quite a while actually.” I answered as I looked at her, from her gorgeous head to her perfect little toes, which made her bite her lower lip.

I want to bite that lip!

But as soon as my mood was up, it was pushed back as I could feel my Alpha was trying to mind link with me

*Seb, you doing OK down there?* I sighed as I lifted a finger at Ava, telling her to wait just a second for me. She sighed and pouted her gorgeous lips, lips I wanted so badly.

*Hiyah boss, doing well, how is the Luna and the pup doing?* I linked back, keeping up my end of our deal. I was granted to do this trip, in order to check in with my Alpha every day.

*Sienna is doing great, the pup as well. She has an appointment next week. I hope we’ll know the gender by then.* I nodded, knowing he would not see me do it.

*Any news on your end?* Kai linked me, and I slowly walked towards the window, looking outside, seeing nobody back there as it was getting dark outside.

*No, we went to a pack in the everglades today. He sent me in a direction, we will find out tomorrow if it is any good.* I looked down, starting to loosen my pants, hoping this conversation would end soon, since I had my mate waiting for me and a massive hard one from seeing her in her spicy lingerie.

* OK, keep me posted Seb* I turned back around while I pulled off my tshirt.

*Will do, hear you tomorrow Alpha* I threw my tshirt away, seeing Ava was already in the Jacuzzi, she had turned on the TV and was watching some sort of girly TV show about a nurse who was now working in a small town in the middle of nowhere.

I pouted at myself, while my wolf Hunter let out a soft whimper, so far for the vision of our mate looking sexy as hell, as she was now completely covered in bubbles and had her hair up in a messy bun. She looked over at me, and I could tell she was annoyed.

Hell, so am I!

“Are we ever going to have a private moment?” She asked me before turning her head back to the TV. I agreed with her as I walked over to the mini bar, picking out a bottle with a label on it called ‘prosecco’. I didn’t see any glasses, so the plastic cups in the bathroom would have to do it. I placed them on the side of the tub.

“Can you move a bit to the front baby.” I hummed at her while I removed my pants and shoes. Ava, her eyes still glued on the TV, did as she was told, which gave me room to step in the tub behind her, pulling her back against my chest as she leaned her head against my shoulder. I popped the bottle and filled both plastic cups as I passed one on to Ava. Who already wanted to sip while her eyes were still glued on the TV.

“Hey, don’t drink before you toast, it brings bad luck.” I whined at her, making her freeze in her spot.

“Sorry, I wasn’t paying attention.” She leaned away from me as she turned to face me.

“What are we toasting on?” She smiled. I could tell she was really trying to enjoy the night, but being disturbed constantly was not setting the mood. I couldn’t blame her one bit. So, I would try my best to make her forget and focus on the good, us.

I raised my plastic cup as I looked at her.

“At our two-month anniversary, which is tomorrow, and a hell of a lot more anniversaries to follow after that.” Ava sent me one of her radiating smiles as she looked at me through her big eyelashes.

“You really are the sweetest, babe.” She sighed as she tilted her head at me. I could literally see her falling in love with me even more than she already had. We clinked our cups as we both took a sip, while Ava turned back around and nestled herself against my chest. Her body folded into mine as if mine was molded to hold her. I let her watch her TV show, since she seemed to really enjoy it, while I enjoyed feeling her body against mine. My fingers slowly stroking up and down her arm, enjoying this calm night with the love of my life. Hoping the future would have more tranquility for us moving forward.
