Truth unfolded
Chapter 1
LILA'S POINT OF VIEW
"You've been cheating on me with her?" I asked him. My eyes were hurting badly as the tears I had been holding back flowed down my cheeks. My entire body was shivering, and I struggled to stand as the tightness in my chest began choking me. And yet, the whole scene in front of me felt unreal.
This has to be a dream, I think. An awful dream, but a dream nonetheless.
“You. Can't. Be. Surprised. b***h!!” Sophia, said in a moaning voice, separating each word in the sentence as she was taking in the pleasurable moment and losing her breath, shaking and arching her back in Kai's office.
“Kai, our. The wedding is in two weeks. Have you no. Shame?” I said, separating the first two words and taking in deep breaths as each word escaped from my lips, I rushed. The other words, separating the last two words again in a teary calm voice, my face frozen. In their direction, anger, pain, betrayal, and a taste for revenge lingered, letting the wedding dress on my hands drop to the floor in Sophia also made the laptop on the table fall hard on the marble office floor. Most of the diamond designs on the wedding dress, shattering on the floor, the laptop screen shattering at the same time, the air had Sophia's heavy fragrance, which made a vein cut in my heart, my eyes became watery as I saw Sophia smirk as Kai's semen filled her up.
“This isn't a werewolf life where I can reject you, and you will move on; if this isn't enough evidence that I don't love you, I don't know what else to say,” Kai said with deep masculinity, supposedly flaring up fantasy, zipping his trouser zipper's up, I held my chest controlling the shock in my heart.
“Lila, don't you know when someone hates you? Don't tell me you're daft, a person with intellectual disabilities, you've been the smart one,” Sophia said almost immediately. Kai dropped his bombshell, pulling her short skirt down, which barely covered her panties, her aura strong of Kai's Masculinity but in a seductive feminine way, her eyes filled with hate, her voice bitchy and provoking.
“ Kai, I hope you won't regret what you're doing in time to come,” I managed to say with the tears clouding in my eyes. I watched Kai scoff, leaving a smirk on his face; he took a deep breath, raising his face, maintaining his dominance with cold eyes, shoulders drawn back, and hands in his pocket.
“ About the wedding, It still holds,” Kai said, his cold eyes boring into me as he watched my movement. I looked at him with disgust; it was obvious that I was not ready to marry him, and he was pushing me to the wall. We dated for three years, and he knew how to do that well.
“You said you didn't love me, why are you not canceling the wedding?” I said with a mist of confusion and disgust on my face.
“I want to make you see more of us,” Kai said, pulling Sophia closer to his body, pressing into each other; they had another passionate kiss, trying to see me retaliate; I would, but not at the moment.
I wondered what kept me there watching them. I was petrified, I was stiff like a statue with no emotions and movements, my tears ran down my cheeks, leaving my face under the bright office lights, and each word from them made my heart hurt, but I felt strong and reassured for no reason. I might cry, but I wouldn't let them win by acting weak in front of them. I knew saying a word would provoke Kai-I was in a lion's den. Unfortunately, I was not Daniel. I kept my voice mute.
“ That's my little b***h, you can leave now,” Kai said after breaking from the kiss. I thought of reasons why I was watching again, but my tears had dried. I turned to leave, but my energy had another will. Maybe tears weren't the answer. My legs made a slight turn towards Sophia, my body facing her for a second, my right hands were raised to Sophia's face, towards her jaw, my hands moved fast, traveling speedily facing with an overpowering force, but my hands got stuck in the air. I tilted my head in that direction. When the opposing force came, Kai was holding my hands and slapping Sophia, making eye contact with Sophia. I noticed my tear glands trying to betray me again, spilling like a fountain. I sniffed as my heart throbbed, knowing the danger coming next. Kai looked at Sophia, who immediately slapped me on my face.
My eyes went dark, which made lightning cloud my eyes, hanging pain in my face, leaving my lungs hanging; my lips trembled to try to find my voice as tears clouded my eyes, pouring heavily on my face, wondering if my brain left my body knowing the danger.
“What have I ever done to suffer from you, Sophia?” I asked with a shaky voice, my tears cascading down my body, my words leaving me to catch my breath as they escaped involuntarily.
“I've been better than you; maybe Kai was blind for just a month after meeting you,” Sophia said with a soft voice, acting all demure and leaving her face flushed with shyness.
_ wait, did she say just for a month? I asked reality, trying to make me hate humanity, confusion, settling on the reasons why he didn't break up with me earlier._
“What do you mean a month?” I asked, still tearing up in front of them, but then I could hear Kai's mocking laugh from behind; he was satisfied with Sophia treating me badly.
“Let me explain to you, dummy. He used you to get to me, and it took him a month to know I was the big deal; as a Mafia, he played you for three years, sick dummy.” Sophia said in a low, then high tone, pride evident in her words as her shoulders hung high, her eyes bright and full of evil; her voice replayed in my head, leaving me frustrated.
_ I haven't been dating Kai after the first month?. He was using me. I thought my body began to vibrate, and luckily, my eyes opened, the bright office lights blinding me._
“Yes, your step-sister is better than you. Sophia has always been better. I left you for a bigger deal which you will know,” Kai said as he circled my body, touching my face which had Sophia's hand print on it. I tried moving away from his touch, but he kept acting oblivious of my pain, or he was enjoying my suffering. Sophia sat in a corner as a new laptop was brought in, replacing the one she had spoiled. I felt weak because I knew Kai was indirectly telling me my situation-replacing me with my step-sister.
“You're my stepsister, Sophia. What have I done wrong? You didn't see him till we started dating? You've been working here before I came into the picture, Sophia, are you jealous?!” I asked in audible, low, dry tones; my tears had dried up, and the laptop being replaced made my heart hurt. I was in the same position as the broken laptop, being replaced by a new one, my eyes watching Sophia pick up my dress.
“You have poor taste in clothing, big sis; just diamonds? You're a jewel designer. You should have done better, your wedding is in two weeks.” Sophia said as she walked over to me, allowing our breath to hit each other's faces, changing the conversation.
“I think you're the one with poor taste; you're with my vomit just as you will always go to my dumps to seek refuge; I know I might be weak, but enjoy your useless Mafia boyfriend who loves me too well to marry me. Why won't he marry you? I bet his mother hates you as she does hate me, Sophia, I will tell the whole world you're a husband snatcher. I know you were pretending to enjoy him, he is such a weakling with a cheating personality. If he could cheat on me, he would cheat on you with a mad woman. He is such a loser with just stupid cravings. Kai is my dump. Enjoy your Mafia CEO!” I said as fast as my breath could hold, standing and rushing to leave the office, my face wearing a smirk on the dry tears, regaining my confidence in a thousand measures. Sophia and Kai's faces were red and swollen in anger; I took a foot out when I heard Kai's voice.
“Don't let her leave this building, go after her, don't take her dead, but if she tries to be smart he will pull the trigger on her,” he yelled, his voice all over the place. I got on his nerves, and I had a smile on my face, but I knew I needed to escape from the ‘Demon CEO’.
I ran down the stairs, it was close to forgetting there was an elevator because it was taking forever to open, I heard a gunshot, and blood on the walls as my ears deafened, my breath came to a stop, and my legs gave in to death. I closed my eyes begging for breath to enter my nostrils, I felt my body falling, my hair covering my face, rolling on the floor was a body which would die. Hopefully, it won't be mine, but the weakness in my body was saying otherwise - Death was knocking. Hopefully, it meets me alive and lets me live for a thousand years to torture them; my step-sister and the demon CEO.
“Help,” I mumbled, although I knew no one would save me.
