Chapter one
The crescent pack was in immense danger as the smoke of burning tents swam roughly through the air. The bodies of werewolves were splattered around the pack, with a lot of omegas running for their dear lives. "Cling cling." Sounds of blades reverberated through the air as Alpha Conall battled a familiar rogue lycan who led the war to the crescent pack. The battle was intense, as both men had mastered sword skills so well that they could even exchange swords while fighting. “You were banished from the pack years ago; what have you come here to do?” Alpha Conall says with a tough growl as a tone of disdain escapes his vengeful aura, still swinging his sword at Liz. “Oh! Conall, let's just say I'm back to take my throne.” Liz reports gliding with his swift movement, which looks so natural. Still locked in his easy-going demeanor, he sizzled Alpha Conall with slashes from his sword. Liz was once an Alpha Lycan who ran for the leadership of the crescent pack against Conall, but his Lycan nature prevented him from emerging as the Alpha. He lost the throne to his father just because he was a Lycan wolf. The Crescent Pack had hatred for Lycans due to their history together. The Lycans attacked and enslaved the pack, murdering their alphas and extending their coast to Crescent Park. Soon, Liz's father, who was born with Lycan blood, betrayed his breed as he waged war against the Lycans, just to free the crescent pack from bondage. He led the pack to victory and was made Alpha of the crescent pack. After the death of Liz's father "Alpha Dolph", the pack didn't want Lycan to rule over them anymore, so they refused their son Liz from sitting as the alpha and gave the leadership role to Alpha Conall and his family. Liz wasn't banished because he was a Lycan, but because his heart was so endowed with jealousy that he attacked the pack, but he was stopped by Alpha Conall, who had already seen this wrathful strand of vengeance coming. He took his rank and also banished him from the pack. Now he is back to claim his throne as the Lycan king, with thousands of rogue Lycan wolves who answered to him. "Dad!” the voice of a teenage wolf echoed from afar as she ran towards the fight going on between Alpha Conall and Alpha Liz. “Lia, get back to the pack.” Alpha Conall got distracted by her voice, as all he could think of at that moment was the safety of his daughter Lia. Using Conall's distraction as an opportunity, Liz instinctively shoves his sword into the stomach of Alpha Conall, who slowly falls to his knees as he begins to fade slowly. Lia noticed this and hastened her race with agony flushed into her. Seeing that Conall was already fading away, Liz pulled his sword out of Michael's stomach with a kick, causing him to fall lifelessly to the ground. He then howls victoriously to notify everyone in the pack that he has murdered the Alpha. Momentarily, his wolves howled back, discouraging the motives of the crescent pack. Everyone knew it was over; another era of slavery had come upon them, and the peace they once enjoyed was finally over as the fall of the great alpha grieved the heart of the pack. Lia's distraction made it an easy checkmate, causing history to repeat itself. “I gotta thank you for this flawless victory, Lia; for that, I'll have to spare your life,” Liz said with a mordacious tone and a cold smirk that dethroned his lips. Lia saunters with disbelief at the lifeless body of her father. As thoughts of “This is all my fault" play mind games in her head, she falls on her knees with tears streaming down her chin. “Dad, please wake up; I'm sorry.” She cried, resting her head on his lifeless body. Echoes of howls reverberated through the air, as it was the only sound present in the pack. “Hear that, Emilia; that's the sound of you being mine now,” Liz said in a mordacious manner, with an unwavering smirk drawn on his lips, as he cleaned the blood stains of Michael off his sword with a rag. “You will serve me till the day you decide to die.” He continued with a leering tone, holding Lia by her ox-blood hair, which revealed that she was close to Luna. She screamed in agony as he hurled her towards the pack. “Move, and do not waste my time.” He jolted in a swaying tone, startling Lia. ******** (THREE YEARS LATER) (LIA'S POV) I was now a nineteen-year-old werewolf; my oxblood hair had already begun to turn darker, as had some other features. I could now transform into a wolf, which I didn't like doing. I didn't want anyone to know about my wolf spirit due to the powers I had with it. If Alpha Liz knew that I was a blue wolf, he would either kill me or use me for evil. Blue wolves are rare; they are the most special form of werewolf. They had a gift from the moon goddess—a gift that could either kill them if they weren't careful with the powers it provided or make them unbreakable. I had the gift of mind control, but I couldn't use it; it only came unexpectedly, and I couldn't take note of how I used it. Nevertheless, I know one day I will be able to use them. My blue eyes were now able to glow in the dark. I also had the Luna tone, which I always sang to entice the rogue wolves to sleep. There was once a time when a Luna was always recognized; being a Luna meant that you were fit to be queen of the pack, but ever since the rogue lycans began to rule, the pack's Lunas, alphas, and betas were hardly recognized. “Lia!!!” The scorching tone of a male jolted into the room. A recognizable, strong male Lycan then escorted it and thumped into my room without much of a knock. The male walked towards me, and while I stood right in front of him with my head planted on the ground, he held me by the neck, pushing me to the wall as he slowly lifted me, scraping my back against the wall, while I screamed, agonized about the pain I felt. “Slut!!! Why didn't you show up at my place last night?" The male said, choking me with his heavy hands, which tightened my neck as he increased his grip. I then struggled to release myself from his grip, but all my effort was lost due to his unmatched strength. “Answer me, slut.” He barked as he hauled me to the ground with force, causing me to fly across the room, hitting hard on the wall, which was meters away from us. He saunters toward me. I was now lying lifelessly on the ground as he grabbed my shoulders, tussling me to the other side of the room. “Alpha James, please have mercy; I couldn't make it because I spent all my night hours singing for the rogues as your father had instructed." I paused. “Before I could make it to your room, you were already fast asleep; I had no right to disturb you.” I tried to explain, but Alpha James always turned a deaf ear to whatever explanation exploded out of my mouth. “You are my slave, and whatever thing I ask of you, you must comply, except you are ready to lose your head to my sword,” he replied, as he once again elevated me from the ground and tousled me towards the doorpost. “Now I need food; go out and hunt with the hunters, you lazy brat," he swayed as he dashed towards me, pushing me by my head. My steps were hastened to prevent the clarity of the Alpha James movement from getting to me. Yes! You heard it. I was a slave to the royal family now. I had no choice on my own about what to eat, what to wear, what to do, or whatever. Every day, I lived by the choice of the royal family. I swear that they could choose to make me breathe whenever they wanted. No one knows when he or she is going to die on this turf. I was made to scrub, wash, hunt with the rogues, who were also banished lycans, sing for them till they fell asleep, warm the king's bed, and also the bed of every alpha lycan in the pack. As little as I was, I had already begun to breed, but whenever I gave birth, Alpha Liz would feed my children to the rogues. Not to forget the fact that those sleaze bags known as rogues r***d my mother to death. About twenty of them forced themselves onto my mother, not considering her old age. I hated the rogues with passion; no day went by without me desiring to do something disastrous to every single one of them, but I had no choice but to comply due to the extreme power they had over me. I knew I wasn't going to let them get away with this. I was the daughter of an Alpha wolf who died out of protecting his pack; I was his only child and his only successor, who would get mated and rule the pack. I wasn't going to sit around and watch my pack get destroyed; I'd have to avenge the deaths of everyone they took away from me, but first, I had to learn how to use this dam's powers.
