Chapter 11 Half blood prince

Raine laid on his bed and thinking, he had been like that for over 3 hours. Ever since he had gotten home after taking Duncan away from the scene she caused.

' Why did he act like that? '. He had been questioning himself ever since.

He was just walking by when he saw Duncan was about to get hit by that bastard Draco. He didn't know what took over him, that he rushed towards her to stop Draco's hand from hitting her face.

He remembered what Duncan had asked after they both had left the scene.

..... Flash-back .....

"What the hell just happened?". Duncan asked. She was a bit still shakened up by the fact that she was almost struck by a dragon.

"I should be the one asking questions around here. What were you doing with Draco? "Raine asked back annoyed, and the part that annoyed him more was because he didn't know why he was annoyed.

The moment he saw Draco's hand about to hit Duncan's face, he didn't know what came over him that he ran as quick as he could to stop it. He his heartbeat drop just thinking of what would had happened if he was a few seconds late.

"Me with Draco! What?" Duncan yelled.

"I was on my own going home when that black haired son of b*tch and his blonde i***t stopped me asking if I knew who they were. And I being the peace maker that I was didn't give a s**t, I told them I had no idea who they were and wanted to leave, but no no no, they just had to tell me who he was. ". Duncan said frustratedly.

Yes she was frustrated. Why, Raine the person who just saved her neck from leaving without a neck, was indirectly accusing her for making that dumb dragon angry.

Raine looked towards her and saw she was more angry than him, so he lowered his voice and said.

"With what you just said, I don't think it's enough for Draco to want to hit you. I'm not saying you did something I just want to know what the f*ck happened".

Raine saw Duncan think for a while then she said

"As he was explaining who he was to me, .... When he first said he was a dragon, I got excited so I cut him from talking so I could ask about some stuffa about dragons. He stopped me and told me not to interrupt him again, but when he said that he possesed the magic of every dragon, I just couldn't help myself from interrupting him again, and I think that's what made him angry. " Duncan said as she recalled everything that happened.

" So does he really possess the powers of the dragon?". Duncan couldn't resist the urge to ask. It was almost unbelievable, but a lot of things that had happened to her was unbelievable so it wouldn't surprise her that much if it was true.

" Yes he does". Raine answered and could see a bit of surprise on Duncan's face.

She said that it wouldn't surprise her much, but that doesn't mean that it wouldn't surprise her at all. This was amazingly impossible but was true.

Raine could read all the emotions on Duncan's face, from suprised to amazed to confused.

Why was she confused? Raine asked in his mind, and it didn't take long for his question to be answered

"If he really has the powers and magic of the dragons, why was he scared of you. Last time I checked, dragons are one of the tops on the magical web"

Raine looked at her genuinely confused face, and couldn't help but smile, ever since she came to the school, her emotions had been safely guarded. But right now, he could clearly see all the emotions on her face, and it was great.

"Draco was scared of me, because my powers are rumored to be stronger than dragons". Raine answered with so much nonchalance like he was reading the weather report.

Duncan really thought that nothing else could surprise her today, but after hearing what Raine said she just couldn't help it. The worst part was that he replied nonchalantly like it was nothing. To have more powers than the dragons, just who was this guy?

"Rumored? Your not sure?" Raine heard Duncan ask again. If it was anybody else, he would have already told them off, or at least left, but he enjoyed her questions. He unsurprisingly like her questions, and worst was that he loved to answer them.

"Draco didn't want to find out. If I really have more powers than him, he would be disgraced and that was something he didn't want to happen." Raine answered, then he looked at her.

That was officially the first time he noticed how beautiful she really was. Her skin was smooth and spotless, and her face was a perfect combination of cute and pretty.

He felt like he had seen her before, long before he met her at the welcoming party. When she was little, really little.

"Em... What about the other blonde follower?" Duncan asked again bringing him out of his daydream of looking at her face.

" Do you mean Howard, he had been following Draco ever since he came to this school, I don't know him personally, but that's was what Justin said". He answered.

" It's getting late, I best be going home. Thank you for the answers". Duncan said after he answered her last question.

He was about to say something when she cut him and said

" You know, your the first person that has answered my questions without saying I ask too much questions, and this is also the first real conversation I've ever had with you".

Then she smiled and left. Raine was left to watch her back, as she speed off.

' Where have I seen you before Duncan? '. Raine thought.

He laid on his bed remembering everything that had happened earlier that day, so he didn't know when Justin came into the room.

"Raine!". Justin called out, but Raine didn't hear

"Raine!!" Justin called out louder but still, he didn't burge.

What was happening?

Raine had a special sense of smell, taste and hearing that was higher than humans, even most powered people. Why he didn't hear him now, was a real wonder.

He moved closer to towards Raine and shook him while he shouted

"Raine!!!". And that was it. That was all it took for Raine to jump back to reality.

"What the hell Justin?" Raine yelled after he had calmed down

"Ha.. ha.. ha". Justin laughed as he saw Raine's face.

"I... I... I don't.. ha.. ha.. ha" Justin speech came out incoherent as he was still laughing.

"Ha ha ha, its not funny". Raine said seriously

" Oh.. it is". Justin said after he had finished laughing.

"What were you thinking about, I called you three times but you didn't answer?".

Raine couldn't tell him that he was thinking about Duncan, so he changed the topic

"Why are you here, what do you want?"

"It seems like you have forgotten that this is also my room Raine" Justin answered back.

" Yeah it is"

Duncan rushed into her room after getting home. Her today was filled with a lot of surprises. Now all she needs is a bath and sleep so she could process what happened at school.

"Darling are you home". She heard her dad shout from the sitting room.

"Yes dad"

Moments later her door was opened and it revealed her father who had just gotten home from work.

"I came home before you dad". Duncan said with pride.

"So it seems". Alfred answered and went to hug his daughter.

"Dad, alot of things happened today at my school". She began after the hug, when she and her dad were siting on her bed

"Things like what?". He asked

"I just saw a son of a dragon. A real f*cking son of a dragon"

" And"

" I almost got hit by him... "

" You what! ". Her dad yelled

" Relax father, I said almost. Raine saved me"

" Who's Raine? "

" I also just found out that the Raine I'm talking about is also the one the party we went for a few days ago was for".

" Raine Mic Min? " Alfred asked his daughter suspiciously

" I don't know his surname, but I think that's the one".

" Raine saved you? "

" Yes, I also found out". She paused than said,

" I told you my today was filled with a lot of surprises and ' finds out'. Anyways, I found out that Raine could actually overpower the dragon. Is that even possible? "

" Your today was really eventful. Yes, some creatures are more powerful than dragons. But they are few"

" I thought that the only person who can overpower all creatures is the half blood prince, and you're not thant anymore we would have to wait for another thousand years for a new one right? "

" No one knows, no one knows". Alfred replied
