Chapter 1 Who is that girl?
"Bam, bam, bam!"
Thunder strikes were heard in the outside the room where they were.
"Whoosh" The sound of the wind picking up blew into the whole room.
"Now what". A pretty lady in the center who looked like she's the one causing all the catastrophic inbalance in the natural climate, asked the other woman in her head who asked her to do this.
"What do you mean?". The lady in her head asked with fake innocence if the first girl in the room could see her face, she was sure the lady in her head would be doing a pout.
"You said let me scare this students, now they are not just scared, they are pertified". The girl in the room stated as if it was the most obvious thing.
" And so? " The lady who had mind linked her asked again foolishly even though she knew where she was going.
" Can I let them go? I don't think anyone would like it if someone just came from nowhere on their freshmen party and start making a storm outside their hall, then start threatening them to end them one by one". The girl pleased. She didn't want to do this, but she had to, for her mum.
" Fine, I'll let them go if and only if, three people leave this hall before I finish counting the next 30 seconds. "
" That would be next to impossible! ". The lady in the room exclaimed, she didnt even know that she had said it aloud. Everyone turned to look at her, wondering what the hell was her, who the hell was her.
She just came to their new comers for school party today, and started to create an heavy storm outside the school one that terrified almost all of them.
10 people in that hall were not afraid and among those 10 people, 2 were standing together watching the science that was playing in their halls.
They were discussing what to do to not arose any suspicion from the newbies.
"I think we should just walk out of her". The first boy said. He had a dirty blonde hair, and beautiful blue eyes, of someone where to look into it directly it was like looking at the ocean. His face though not yet matured, had this cute boyishness that made his charm unresistable.
" If we do that, newbies might be wondering why? There is a storm outside Justin". The second boy said. He had a dark black coloured hair and deep black eyes. His eyes, if one was to look into it, unlike his friend, you won't see anything just an endless abyss of blackness. Like the night sky without any stars.
" But this person clearly needs to be stopped ". Justin said again pointing at the lady who was causing the storm.
As the boys were brainstorming of ideas to leave this place unsuspicious, the lady in the room was having a conflict in her mind with the other lady.
" So, should I start the clock, Duncan?". The lady in her head asked
The lady named Duncan thought about it for a moment but she knew that this was one of the lady in her mind easiest way out, so she agreed
" Start the clock". She said when she was ready.
Then she looked at the scared students, she didn't want to do this but she had to. To ensure everyone of them is safe.
"All of you are hear, are you sure it's better than outside?". She asked then she raised her hands and started to cause a storm inside the hall.
Screams where heard as the students ran about looking for shelther.
"I think it's better outside". She said again, hoping one or three of them would take her hint and leave this place.
"Raine, what's she doing?" Justin asked his friend.
"She's creating a storm inside, it's like she doesn't want is here". Raine said with a thinking face, but after hearing what she said next after creating the storm, Raine was sure she wanted them outside.
"I don't think she's doing this on her own will". Justin said.
*I think we should talk about it outside. Let's leave".
" But what about not showing what we can do to the newbies? "
" We won't do anything, just leave". Raine explained.
" Ok, let's go".
Then the two boys carefully walked towards the entrance, but before they left, Raine shouted.
" It's better to be outside in the storm, than inside in the storm". Then they both left the hall.
When Duncan saw that two people had left the had she was excited and the two even spoke good words, one left to go.
As she was still positively thinking, the lady came back again.
" You have 10 more seconds, honey.
9... 8... 7... 6"
Duncan couldnt explain how anxious she was.
" 5.. 4.. 3.."
But before the count down could be completed, a girl ran towards the entrance and left the hall at the count of one.
Duncan heart finally calmed down. She looked around, stopped the storm both inside and outside, and left the hall.
While those people outside were shocked. There was no storm.
When they went outside, they had already prepared for the worst but the moment their feet touched the ground, they couldn't feel the storm anymore. It was all an allusion. Nothing was real, the storm was not, neither was the flash of lights.
Why was she doing this?
"What the f**k just happened?" Justin asked no one in particular.
"I don't know" Raine replied.
As they were still discussing what had happened, they saw the girl leaving tbe hall. She looked both her side then raised one hand up to her head and brought it down very fast, and bed cloth changed.
It had transformed into a beautiful black dinner dress.
Then she raised both of her hands, and teleported away from there.
What she didn't know was that, two boys had seen her.
Raine and Justin were talking in a secluded area, in-between two buildings, that was the reason Duncan didnt see them.
"I know that colors". Raine suddenly said.
"What do you mean?" Justin asked.
"Oh my, I almost forgot. My parents are having a dinner celebration for my return and what she was wearing was the colour code"
"Are you trying to say that, that girl is going to your party? " Justin asked again.
" I don't know, but I bet I'll find out. I've to go now". Raine said.
" Bye dude"
" Bye". Raine said and snapped his fingers then he vanished in thin air.
"Duncan had already arrived at the dinner party and was currently having a conversation with her middle aged, but too handsome for his age father.
Mr Jones was one of the famous business man in the country. He has a model figured body and one couldn't tell he was a day over 30 if they didn't see his daughter.
Mr Alfred Jones and his daughter looked alike and without a second glance one could tell they were related.
They had the same raven black hair and piercing brown eyes. The only difference was that 'Duncan' inherited her mother's beautiful triangles shaped eyebrows that doesn't even need to be shaped or trimmed.
"Why didn't you come earlier, I wanted to introduce you to some people" Alfred asked his daughter.
He had spotted her the moment she had arrived. What he didn't know was what she was doing. Ever since she has made that promise when her mother, his wife got missing, she had been doing alot of stuffs he doesn't know about. It wasn't that he did not care, but he wanted her to know for herself, what was good and bad. She was 17 and would have to deal with that sooner in life.
He had already accepted his fate 3 years ago, that his wife, his one and only soul mate might never come back. She had gone missing 10 years ago after a terrible storm and was never seen again.
His daughter had made a promise to herself on her 12 birthday, 5 years after she hadn't seen her mum and he finally stopped giving her excuses and told her the truth, her mother was gone.
But on her 12 birthday, she made a promise while blowing her birthday candle that she would find her mother no matter what.
"I was doing stuffs, at least I'm here now". His daughter replied.
"You know Amaza..". Alfred started but was cut short by Duncan.
"Mother said I shouldn't use my real name in public, you are using my name". She exclaimed.
That was she and her mother's thing. When she was still very little her mother told her that there was something special about her name and she shouldn't use it often or it might attract bad people, so after her mother disappeared she hadly ever use her real name in public. Sometimes she forgets it
"Okay, what name do you go by now"
"Duncan"
"Duncan, what type of a name is Duncan"
"It means fear, and I like it"
"So, Duncan what do you think about this dinner, it's been really long since you went out for an event"
"Well, I really can't say since they haven't even brought the food" Duncan said and both her and her father laughed she didn't know that someone was watching them.
