Betty Pov
It’s been one year since I and Carmen are officially together. We spend time together daily as much as we can also she and my younger siblings are getting close much. Grace always asks help about her studies when I was not able to help much. Fact is I still doing the hard job to earn money and me usually not available that much for them so Carmen help them but I can’t complain about this because this makes them closer. On weekends we spend time like family and on multiple occasions, we all go out just for fun but I don’t like it when she spends too much money on Adam wishes or shops for Grace from expensive stores. I am still not used to depend on that much on others but Carmen never give me chance to doubt on our relationship. I am so glad to have her beside me I like it when we wake up next to each other or when we prepare food together whenever we get chance.
Carmen Pov
I was nervous as hell today is our one year anniversary and I was strolling in compound nervously to ease my nerves. Then I felt someone put their arm on my shoulder than I realize I was so much deep in thought that I didn’t realize Mr. Smith was looking at me nervously.
“Hey, what happened to you? Why you look so pale and nervous? Something happened to you?” he said worriedly
“Umm….nn…no I was worried about today what if something goes wrong on our date?” I nervously said to him
“Don’t worry everything goes fine trust me and you guys love each other so trust yourself and believe me everything goes perfectly as we planned,” he said while turning to leave me alone
It’s 7 pm and I was waiting out for Betty for our dinner date. Yes, we are going on a date today and I plan everything in advance and she was a little annoyed that I didn’t let her do anything on our anniversary. Well you can’t blame me I want to give her surprise today so of course, I won’t let her do anything.
We reach the rooftop restaurant and when we reached there it was totally decorated with flowers and balloons. They decorate the whole place with scented candles which actually make the place romantic enough. She looks at everything in a surprised manner and when she turns at me while giving me the widest smile ever. But then I realize she looks sad a bit. After asking the reason she was excited that I did so much for her but she wasn’t happy that I spend so much but how can you blame this girl who is lovestruck. So it was not much to spend extra bucks to book the whole place and decorate it for my romantic dinner. Well, I want this occasion as best as I can do so here I am doing all this for her.
After finishing our dinner we talk a little bit before I gave her best surprise of her life I mean I hope she likes it. I took her hand and start watching a sky full of stars. She was looking at the sky so peacefully that I stare her for god damn good minutes before I drift my mind to my surprise.
I stand behind her with the shaky body and I felt like my heart was pounding fast enough in my body. When she realizes I was standing behind her she turns to look at me and I felt like I forget everything. God help me to do this before I die with nervousness I silently pray in my head before holding her hand.
“When I first saw you I was struck with your simplicity and natural beauty. I know it’s only been the year but I felt like I know you from so long time ago and every movement I spend with you give me peace. I won’t talk say much but I just want to tell you, Betty that you complete me in every aspect of my life and I love you from deep of my heart.”
I kneel down on the leg and took the small box out from my pocket and open it to show her ring and she was looking with me shocking eyes.
“I Carmen want to spend rest of my life with you, Betty. Will, you marry me & be my wedded wife and spend the rest of your life with me?” I said with hoping eyes
Before we both are able to process anything she grabs my cheeks and smashes her lips for a kiss. When I apart from each her she held my hands tightly.
“Yes…..yes….yes definitely I will marry you, my love.” She said excitedly
I put a ring on her finger before kissing her again to my soon going to be a wife as I said I love you to her again.
