Struggles of Bhanu

Akash introduced Bhanu to his relatives.Akash considered Bhanu as his responsibility rather than his wife.Akash was an ideal gentleman,he thought a girl should not be enclosed in household work.He wanted girls to learn and go to school.He wanted girls to be empowered with knowledge.Girls should stand on their legs and should have the guts to face problems in life and to speak out what is wrong.He also wanted to stop all the illegal practises from society like child marriages and sathi.

Akash wanted Bhanu to learn and go to school.He stood as a pillar for Bhanu.But Bhanu was taught to be a housewife. Her father-in-law taught her all the customs of the family, like how to do a Pooja,and how to be an ideal wife and daughter in law.She was considered as the eldest daughter in law in her 12th year.Bhanu tried to work wholeheartedly.

Little Bhanu had a small issue with urination during night in the bed.First few days she managed by using Akash's perfume she call it as 'puspus'(because she dosent know what it is only thing is it has the pleasant smell and has a sound while pressing).After a week the family got to know about it and they scolded her,but Akash stood for her and he took the responsibility.The next day night Akash waked Bhanu and made her forcefully urinate.Payal got to know about the news and the next day she came during night pretending to help Akash,She acted genuinely tring to wake Bhanu up and taking her to washroom.In the middle of the night Akash slept off unfortunately and at same time Payal knowingly left the house without waking bhanu in between.The next day morning Bhanu pissed on the bed and it was very dirty Akash got up with a shake and he ran to Bhanu's room to check her.But all the family members already were embarrassed with Banu and Akash.Akash took a bucket of water and with cloth he wiped the foor and he changed the bed cover and he washed it by himself.Seeing his struggles Bhanu felt sorry for him and she was ashamed of looking at him and she decided to tell him to leave her to her mother But Akash very politely sat on his knees and told Bhanu" it's ok to urinate bed,when we are small we do this but we can change it and I will help you to sove this problem,it's all about self control and our hobbies.You are small,while you are getting older the problem will get solved ?".There was a strong bond between Akash and Bhanu.

Payal became jealous of this and she tried to harm Bhanu and she wanted

Bhanu to be out of house.Akash put forward of the thought of teaching Bhanu and letting her to study in school in front of the family.All were opposing the thought,but he stood strong.He taught her writing and let her to go school.But one day suddenly Bhanu got bleeding,she found blood on her dress.She thought she is diseased and she told Akash's stepmom Nandini.Nandini hated Bhanu and she never wanted Bhanu to be in the house and she never accepted bhanu as Akash's wife She never wanted Akash and Bhanu together.There for she told Bhanu;The bleeding is a form of curse from God and you should not meet any men in the house.if you meet or touch them they will die.Bhanu was very frightened and hid her from Akash.Whenever Akash tried talking to her she made excuses and avoided the situation.Bhanu had sever stomach pain that she could not afford it Finally Bhanu thought of writing a letter to her mother telling to take back home,she is loneley and is diseased.She can't bear the pain.Bhanu gave the letter to Nandini to give her mother.But Nandini recieved the letter pretending to give to Bhanu's mother(Bhanu left),Nandini tore the letter and dumbed in trash.Mean while Akash was thinking of Bhanu's new attitude,he noticed pieces of paper in the dust bin and he took it out...he arranged the letter some how and he tried to read it.He realised that Bhanu Is having her Menstrual cycle for first time,and she thinks it as a deadly disease and so she is not approaching him.

Akash blasted with tears and he blamed himself for not understanding and supporting her.(Menstruation is considered as impurity in those times,women are not allowed to be in kitchen or amoung people,they were given a seperate room,food and water supplied to the room, for seven days they should be separately living and after seventh day after taking bath they can enter house)Akash ran to Bhanu's room,but little Bhanu was hiding inside the cupboard.Akashsat outside the cupboard and he tried to explain Bhanu;he said:"This is not a deadly disease bhanu,This is Menstrual cycle that happens in every women's life,there is nothing to be afraid of. this occurs every month and it's associated with severe stomach pain and backpain.There is nothing to be ashamed of,Every lady in the world goes through this.This is a sign that you have grown up now you are a grown up girl.Now there will be changes in your body,there will be increase in brest size,your hight, this symbolises that now you are going to be a matured girl.Bhanu please come out don't be afraid,"Bhanu in low voice she enquired if i come out what if anything happens to you.Akash responded;no Bhanu nothing will happen to me please come out.

Bhanu slowly came out of the cupboard and stood away from Akash.Akash told her to touch and see him.Bhanu with her index finger touched Akash's hand.and she noticed nothing happened...Bhanu was filled with emotions,she felt very happy that she got a partner who is very caring and understands her each situation and he always stands for her,on the other side she had severe stomach pain and she doesn't know how to stop this bleeding what to use for the same...Akash raised his hand towards bhanu(for a hug)Bhanu hugged Akash?.(Bhanu cried very badly and she felt very protective in his hands)..................................................(continuous)
