Need A Clean Up In Aisle 7

754 Words
~Adam~ It has been a week since I have been marked by my alpha and I am back to work. Cause we have not exchanged any words to one another I just jumped right back into the daily grind. After all, I had a baby to take care of and he has needs.  So today we had a sale on s[pagetti sauce. It seemed like every woman in the pack was here to get a few jars. On the  P.A. system, I keep hearing someone calling for a clean-up on Aisle 7. So it seemed that they were fighting over the jars and spilling them on the floor. Yeah, cause that makes sense. I keep shaking my head each time I hear it coming across. Our sales are for a week so being this sale was only a few days in we had a few more. I was sure that we were gonna run out before the end of the week.  Also, I have seen the omegas that worked in the kitchen at the packhouse come in. I could help but laugh if they were gonna also fight for a jar or ten of the popular sauce. Everything on sale was always popular for that week.  My line was starting to get thinned out and I hoped to get a break soon. My neighbor an older woman named Celica was putting her purchases on the conveyor belt. She was like my mom’s age so around sixty to mid sixty. Her silver hair was cut short on her head and her eyes framed with laugh wrinkles still shinned a caramel brown color.  “ Adam!! You still working here?” She asked me frowning a little.  “ Of course Mrs. Stanley. I would miss you if I got a new job!” I said to her with a smile.  “ How is that boy of yours?” She asked putting cans of tuna fish up next.  “ He is doing great! He keeps trying to walk I think he might be a fast learner.” I excitedly tell her with pride.  “ It is his Alpha blood. They always grow faster. Speaking of which why are the two of you not at the packhouse with your mate and why are you not taking over Luna’s duties yet?” She asked me Now I was feeling very uneasy to keep having a conversation. So I mentally checked out as I just finished ringing her up and taking her money. My mind wondering if James would want to sit down with me and figure out where we went from here.  I took in a deep breath as the last customer in my lane went through. My nose then took up the scent I loved and found myself turning my head towards the scent so fast I lost my balance and landed on my butt.  I looked up and seen a hand offered to me to help me back up. I took it gratefully. Once my hand enclosed on it the sparks went right up my arm straight to my heart. I found myself staring into the blue depths of my mate’s eyes.  “ Why are you here?” “ I work here.”  “ Why?” “ I need money to pay for Sebastions needs.”  “ I will provide for you both. You should of been packing your things to move into the packhouse with me.” He tells me.  “ Oh, and How would I know that you wanted that? Oh yeah, cause we so talked about this right?” I scoffed at him.  I saw out of the corner of my eye my boss giving me the stink eye. I then send another glare towards my other half and turn off my light and proceed to walk away. Stuck in my own head for a moment I fail to hear the warning coming from Louie, one of our stock guys.  I begin to slide and lose my balance once more. Trying to stop me I flayed out my arms in hopes to regain my balance and not end up on the newly mopped floor. My right-hand smacks into something and as I fall to the floor I hear the sound of glass shattering. The sauce jumps up off the floor and onto my shirt and arms. I then hear Louie cuss me out now he has another mess to clean up. I distinctly hear come across the speakers “ Clean up on Aisle Seven”
