The Pink Drink

Chapter 6: Disconnect

“Okay, give me the number.” Gloria says when they finally reach their dorms, sitting down on the ground. “156437569” Diana replies. “Got it!” Gloria mumbled when the phone started to ring. When the janitor, Monica Flo, accepted the call, the three girls let out a breath they didn’t know they were holding. “Hello?” a gruff voice says from the phone. “Hello” the girls said in sync. “Who are you?” the janitor asks. “We’re 3 girls from Femlovita Academy. April, Diana, & Gloria” April introduces. “We heard you have the recipe for the blue drink” Diana says. “Our friend drank the pink drink and, let’s just say she isn’t herself anymore.” Gloria’s voice suddenly goes high pitched. “Please, please give us the recipe!” April begs. “Listen carefully, I’ll only say it once” Monica replies. “We’re all ears!” Diana says enthusiastically. “Gloria, go get a paper and write it down.” April uttered in a slight undertone. Gloria immediately gets up, walking to a white drawer with gold accents, taking out one of her many copybooks and a pen, sitting back down, ready to write. “Get a cup and put in 215 ML of sparkling water. Add a strand of unicorn hair, 4 drops of witch’s sweat, 8 teaspoons of a mermaid’s blood and-” Monica is able to say before the call disconnects for a moment. “Stir the ingredients and give it to the victim.”the call connects again. “Wait what?!” a confused Gloria says. “Miss flo, the call cut off” Diana says calmly. “We need the last ingredient!” April says, frustrated. “I said I’ll only repeat it once” Monica says monotonously. “NO PLEASE” Diana shouts. “YOU’RE OUR ONLY CHANCE” Gloria yells while bursting into tears. “WE DON’T WANNA STAY HERE ANY LONGER” April screams. As the janitor stops the call, the girls go crazy. “STUPID!” a crying Gloria says, throwing the phone across the room.
