Damien walked into his parents’ suite with Alpha Michael close behind. Damien went straight to his mate, Alpha Michael winked at his mate, Luna Angie. and went into his office to finish some paperwork. After about an hour, Luna Angie mind-linked him and told him dinner was ready. Alpha Michael went ahead and closed his laptop and got out. Instead of grabbing his coat, he left the office with his white shirt and the sleeves rolled up to his elbows.

Luna Angie greeted her mate with a hug and a quick kiss and they both looked at their son and his mate. Both smile, then out of nowhere Laney looks away from Damien and notices that Alpha Michael was also there. She had no idea when he stepped into the room. She does feel like she owes him an apology, so she steps away from Damien and, not losing eye contact with Alpha Michael, she walks up to him and gives him a hug. Alpha Michael, not really sure about what to do, with wide eyes, stares at his mate, she smiles and nods her head. He relaxes a bit and hugs Laney back. Laney pulls away a bit and says “I want to apologize for my behavior early this afternoon. I know that you wanted to apologize and I should not have blown up like that. That is not me, and I am sorry. Please forgive me and I hope that we can move past this and become a family.” Alpha Michael looked at her with a big smile and said “I can do that darling, if you forgive me as well. Also, call me Michael.” That made both Luna Angie and Damien happy that they were okay.

Laney

I was so relieved that Alpha Michael, oh I mean Michael, forgave me. I feel relaxed and so happy. I have a family again. I do wish that I could see my own parents. I went ahead and set the table with Damien on my heel. I am so in love with this man. Once the food was on the table and everything was set, we went ahead and sat down with Michael at the head of the table and Angie, his mate, sitting next to him on his right. Damien sat at the other end of the table and me at his right. We fit perfectly at this table, we chatted a bit about random things, like recipes and then the pack. I then remembered something that I needed to ask Michael about. “Hey Michael, I was wondering if you and I could talk about one of the Omega’s Lauren?” I hope that Michael will let me use her mainly in the kitchen. “Of course, what is it?” he asked. Okay, here I go. “So, as you know, I want to continue in the kitchen as much as possible, at least till the ceremony. Well, to continue with the great food and techniques, there is one person that worked under me and she is the best. She knows all of my recipes and she has great ideas for anything new. Her name is Laura. She is shy and kind, but when it comes to cooking and baking, she is the best. May we hire her full time in the kitchen only as the head chef?” I hope that he says yes. I feel that the packing house really needs this. I see that he is considering this. “May I taste something that she alone makes and I can give you that decision? I want this to be fair,” he said.

“Of course I can let her know when we finish here and have her make breakfast for you and Angie tomorrow morning.” I smiled widely at Michael and was so happy that he was giving this a chance.

Damien

Seeing my mate and dad getting along just makes everything easy. I knew that this would happen. I hoped that it would happen when I found out she was my mate. She is so kind, gentle heart. She will be the best Luna this pack has ever had. I love my mom and she was great but Laney will bring this pack to the 21st century.

I need to tell Laney that her parents want to see her. I can't keep it from her anymore.I need to keep her safe and the best thing that I can do is wait till after she shifts completely on a full moon. I don't want anyone to be there. I know that her mother kept that she was a white wolf and made her own father and my father treat her badly that night of her 16th birthday. All to protect her to wait for her mate. I should have stepped up but I was young, afraid of what would happen. I let my father treat her unfairly, but during all that she never lost her heart, her kindness. I will make sure that I keep her safe from all Wolves including the Alpha King and the Rogue King. They would just use her healing abilities and lock her away. I can't let that happen to my mate.

Realizing that everyone was starring at me, I looked at Laney. "Are you okay?" she asked. I didn't realize it but I thought it was in my head and more of Aiden but I growled so loud that the table shook and startled everyone sitting. "I apologize everyone, excuse me." I said and then get up. I need some fresh air. 'You can't keep this up. She means the world to us Damien.' 'I know Aiden, I will tell her tonight.' Stepping outside on the terrace outside of my parents suite. Looking around and seeing my home, my pack. I will do anything to protect my mate and our home.

I walked back into the suite and saw my parents and my mate in the living area sitting on the couches just talking and laughing. I don't want to see my mate hurt, but I have to do that.

I walked up, "Hey sweetie, you ready to go?" Looking at my mate smiled and said "Yes, Thank you all so much for this, I enjoyed every minute of it." I grab onto her waist and pull her towards me and put my nose to her neck. She giggled. "Okay, I think that we should go ahead and go. Bye, we will see you tomorrow." She said as she was pulling away from me and heading out.
