Damien arrived at the pack house, shifted back and put on a pair of shorts. He walked into the packhouse, and ran up the stairs to Alpha’s suite. Before he could knock on the door, his mother, Luna Angie, opened the door and grabbed Damien into a tight hug. “Oh thank the goddess that you are okay.” said Luna Angie, while squeezing her boy and giving him a kiss.

Damien trying so hard to release her. “Mom, come on, I want to see Laney.” Luna Angie loosened her grip. “Okay, she is asleep on the couch. She cried herself to sleep, she needs you right now.” Damien a bit confused and sad, “I will take her home.”

Damien goes towards the living area and sees Laney lying on the couch curled up in a ball. Damien walks over and picks her up bridal style and heads over to the door. Luna Angie walks over to the door and opens it. She smiles and says to Damien. “Please comfort her, and also stay safe.” Damien kisses her cheek and leaves.

Damien

After leaving the Alpha suite, I start walking down the stairs and I notice that there are some tear stains on Laney's face. I know that I told her about keeping her parents from her. 'Aiden, I think it is time that Laney see her parents tomorrow morning.' 'I believe mate will like that.'

Once in the cottage and in our room, I pull back the covers in our bed and laid her down, I then climbed behind her and covered the both of us up. I looked at the time it was 4am and I know that Jackie and Kent are both up they were there at the South wall helping fight off the rogues, they also start their shift of patrol along the borders as well. I open my link to just the two of them. "I want both of you at the pack house at 9 am." I then close the link before they could comment.

I think this will help my mate find more confidence before shes shifts.

Laney

I woke up to the sun shining in the room, I was so stiff and not sure why. I didn't want to get out of bed, wait bed. Damien must've brought me back to the cottage, but why didn't he wake me? I turned over and the spot next to me was empty. 'Where is Damien?'

I stretched out and got of bed, I need a hot shower to relax my stiff muscles. I must have stayed curled up.

I went into the walk in closet to grab the clothes I need for the day. A nice white t-shirt and blue skinny jeans, I went in the bathroom and did my business and took a quick hot shower. I got dressed and pulled my hair up into a messy bun on the top of my head. I added mascara and lip gloss and put my converse on. Walking out of the bedroom and towards the kitchen I can hear a bit of chatter, like whispers. I walked into the kitchen and I paused in shock. Damien was sitting at the bar on the stool with a cup of coffee and shocking part was my parents in the dining room sitting at the table talking to Damien. What are my parents doing here, I thought he was going to wait till later in the afternoon. Not first thing in the morning, oh man. I am not ready yet, I want to know what happened last night and talk with Damien, not my parents, not yet.

Damien's

I woke up just as the sun was rising, realizing I only got a couple of hours sleep. I looked down at my beautiful mate, she looks so peaceful when she is sleeping. Giving her a quick kiss on the forehead, I got up and hopped in the shower. Trying my hardest to be quite. After I got out and dressed I looked at the time. It was 7:30 Am. I went out of the cottage to the packhouse to my office to get a bit of work done before Laney's parents arrived.

Charlie my future Beta walked in my office to give me an update on the rogues situation from last night on the South wall.

I tell him that Laney will be seeing her parents this morning. "Are you sure that this is a good idea? I know that she forgave Alpha Michael about everything. But her parents turned their backs on her." Charlie made a good point, I am not ready to tell him the real reason yet. I need Laney to shift first and have Nia tell her things. "Charlie, she needs them before she shifts, I will explain things to you after okay."

I looked at the time and it was 9am. I then get a link from Jackie letting me know they are here in the dining room.

"Alright Charlie, they are here. I want you to check the borders again." "Alright man, I keep you updated." said Charlie as he walked out.

I headed down to the dining room and saw Jackie and Kent sitting at the table. Kent so nervous, and Jackie trying to calm him down. I walked towards them, Kent noticed me first and stood. "Damien, I want to thank you for calling us." he said.

and held out his hand for me to shake. I shook it hard and quick. I then looked at Jackie. "Alright, this is for Laney, she needs you both before she shifts." I then led them out of the packhouse to the back and into the cottage. Jackie and Kent both sat at the dining room table. I walked over to the kitchen and put on a pot of coffee and a kettle of water for tea.

I sat at the bar and waited for Laney to wake up.

"Damien, Laney is supposed to shift today. Is there anything that we can do to help?" Said Kent. As I was handing him his Coffee, and Jackie her cup of tea. I then sat on the bar stool facing the both of them. "Yes, I want her to know about her families past. I need her to feel safe when she shifts, there is so much Nia can tell her but it's best if it comes from the both of you. It will her understand everything." I told the both of them.

Hearing some movement from the room, I knew that Laney was awake and that she will soon be coming out here. I hope that she understands what is going on. Hearing her come out the room 30 mins later. I turn around and notice a bit of shock and sadness.
