"Then I'll withdraw all the money for your family!" Gabriel pointed angrily at Amelia.
"Don't blame me as it was you who don't remember our past first!"
With his hands in his pockets, he turned to go, and when he stepped on the roses, he kicked them again.
At that moment, he saw Ella and suddenly remembered something. He turned and rushed to Amelia with a very strange smile and said, "Does Ethan know about that? If Ethan knew you had slept with someone before, would Ethan still want you?"
Amelia was stunned. "You..."
She had never told anyone about that thing, except Ella, who had been her best friend since high school.
Ella looked at her and immediately lowered her head guiltily.
This pleased Gabriel, who leaned into her ear and whispered, "I don't mind. If you divorce Ethan now, I can still marry you and let Ella leave. If you don't divorce, I'll tell Ethan about it."
As he spoke, he tried to put his arm around Amelia's waist. But as soon as his hand was stretched out, it was held by a strong hand.
Ethan pulled Gabriel's arm behind him and then grabbed Gabriel by his neck and pinned him against the table with a thud.
While waiting for Amelia and Ethan, Gabriel asked for a bottle of red wine. Now the red wine was spilled on the dish, where Gabriel's face was pressed, making Gabriel very embarrassed.
Ethan asked unfriendly, "What do you want to do?"
Gabriel's face crumpled with pain, but he refused to concede.
"Amelia had slept with someone during her time at university. Do you know that? I'm sure she hasn't told you. Uncle, this woman is so scheming as she seduces you while telling me not to touch her. She isn't a good person."
Amelia was nervous when her experience was suddenly exposed. She couldn't breathe as if the old event seemed to have just happened.
Clutching her purse tightly, Amelia stepped forward and said, "I'm not..."
She actually was a victim. She was definitely not that kind of woman.
"So?" Ethan looked down at Gabriel and said, "You think I will mind that. What then? What do you want to do with her?"
Gabriel clutched the table for support, feeling as if Ethan was about to snap his neck. He screamed, "I'm not trying to do anything. Uncle... Mom! help me!"
The closed door opened. When Keira saw this scene, she shouted at Alice, "Mom, uncle he..."
Alice said loudly, "Andrew!"
Andrew then said, "Ethan!"
Seeing Andrew, Ethan didn't change his action but only asked Gabriel, "How do you address her?"
Realizing that neither his mother nor Andrew could save him, Gabriel swallowed hard and said, "Amelia."
Ethan kept asking, "What did you say?"
Gabriel immediately answered, "Aunt!"
A bunch of people dared not to approach Ethan. After Gabriel changed his words, Amelia rushed forward and said, "Ethan..."
Gabriel made mistakes first but she was more afraid of what the Davis family would do to her family. Her mother entrusted the family to her before her death. If the family collapsed, how would she keep her promise?
Her nervousness seemed to be written on her face. Ethan looked at her and loosened his grip on Gabriel's hand. Gabriel immediately withdrew.
After Ethan pulled his hand back, he felt the strap of his watch loosened. He reached his hand out to Amelia.
Amelia didn't understand and just looked at him.
Ethan reminded her, "The strap of my watch loosened."
Amelia blinked and tentatively reached out to help him adjust the strap. Seeing that he was not unhappy, she felt free to touch him.
With his palm facing down, she couldn't see the clasp but she hesitated to turn over his hand. However, Ethan quickly turned his palm up for her.
This action was so tacit that Gabriel found him intolerant. Amelia had never done this to him. But she and Ethan could tell what each other was thinking just by looking into each other's eyes!
Gabriel was about to explode with anger. He looked at Andrew, gritted his teeth, and said, "Ethan has ruined the reputation of the Davis family! You can't protect him anymore!"
Although Alice loved her son, she also came from the Wilson family.
Looking at the finger marks on Gabriel's neck, Alice frowned with discomfort.
She asked, "Ethan, you've already slapped Gabriel. Now the whole city is watching Gabriel's joke. Aren't you satisfied?"
Then she turned to Amelia and said sharply, "I was blind to agree Gabriel to marry you. You are greedy, wanting more than one million from the Davis family. I think your true purpose is the Wilson family! It is really true that a well-matched marriage should match families. Allowing my son to marry you, a poor woman, is a mistake!"
Alice didn't think her son was wrong. In her view, it was all Amelia's fault as Amelia couldn't attract Gabriel and married Ethan in the end. Men were all playboys. Everything would be okay for her as long as what happened didn't jeopardize her position in the Davis family.
Amelia felt very disgusted. She took a breath and asked Ethan, "Can I swear at her?"
Anyway, Alice was from the Wilson family. Although Ethan wanted to ruin the reputation of the Davis family, he certainly wouldn't embarrass Alice. He was her last lifesaver. She didn't need to follow all his words, but she still needed to ask him about how to treat Alice.
Ethan looked down at her, observing that Amelia was suppressing her anger.
Amelia was blamed directly but still worried about what he thought, which meant that the ten million seemed really important to her.
Etha thought it was good for her to focus solely on money so that they could separate without trouble after she gave birth to his child.
Ethan moved his fingers away from the watch that still remained the temperature of Amelia's palm, and said, "No."
Amelia dropped her head down slowly.
Alice immediately sneered as she knew Ethan would take care of her. As long as he cared for her, it proved that Amelia was not that important to him.
