Chapter 18: A Shocking Revelation Ava was still reeling from her confrontation with Rachel when she received a text from Liam. "Hey, Ava. I need to talk to you about something. Can you meet me at the park at 5pm?" Ava's heart skipped a beat as she read the message. She had been thinking about Liam nonstop since their last coffee date, and she couldn't wait to see him again. As she arrived at the park, Ava saw Liam sitting on a bench, looking serious and introspective. "Hey, Ava," he said, as she sat down next to him. "I need to tell you something." Ava's heart was racing as she waited for Liam to continue. "What is it?" she asked, trying to keep her cool. Liam took a deep breath before speaking. "Ava, I have to tell you something about Rachel. She's not who you think she is." Ava's eyes widened in surprise. "What do you mean?" she asked. Liam hesitated before speaking. "Rachel and I used to date," he said. "And let's just say it didn't end well. She's been trying to sabotage my relationships ever since." Ava's jaw dropped in shock. "That's why she's been acting so strange and distant," she said. "I had no idea." Liam nodded. "I know. She's a master manipulator. But I want you to know that I'm not afraid of her. And I'm not going to let her come between us." Ava's heart swelled with emotion as she looked at Liam. She felt a sense of gratitude and admiration for him, and she knew that she wanted to be with him. "Thank you, Liam," Ava said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I appreciate your honesty. And I have to say, I'm really glad you told me." Liam smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I'm glad I told you too," he said. "I feel like we can finally be honest with each other." As they sat there on the bench, Ava felt a sense of peace and contentment wash over her. She knew that she had made the right decision in choosing Liam, and she was excited to see what the future held for them.
