Chapter 22 – Aftermath
“Now...” Dr. Rey said, “let's see what we can see.” He felt around on Dale's broken nose.
They were in Dale's room behind The Tunnel Rat. Angelina had taken one look at him and promptly called Rey in to treat his wounds. He sat on his cot and tried to put on a brave face. It wasn't easy. If his luck didn't change soon, Mercury would end up killing him. It nearly had already. He glanced at Annora, and then back to Rey. Looking at the man's fingers on his nose was making him cross-eyed, so he closed his eyes. “What do you—”
