Chapter 25 – The Formidable Nat Leland
Nat approached the cell door. It took something very important to get him out of his office, but this was one of those times. He pushed the button to activate the comm. “Good evening, Zack.”
Zack sat on his bed, eating his dinner from a tray in his lap. He paused with a spoonful of mashed potatoes halfway to his mouth and turned to look at the door.
“I just thought you'd like to know the latest news,” Nat said. “It's about your nephew.” He smiled and waited.
Zack didn't take the bait. He watched Nat for a moment and then resumed eating.
