Chapter SixRaven and Zero squatted at the edge of the woods, eyes scanning around them. It was daylight, which would make the rest of the journey uncomfortable, but they had lost their pursuers in the small hours of the night. “How far is it?” Zero asked. “I'm not sure.” She didn't know the city well enough to figure the distance to the hotel where she was sure her handler was cursing her out. She pulled a plastic bag from her pocket and took her phone out, smiling at the question she could see in Zero's eyes. “I get wet a lot.” She thumbed it on and waited for it to show it was ready.
