Chapter Twenty-EightRaven paused as she neared the clinic. She knew that the Shadows had gathered to try to help Zero, but she had kept her distance. She was very aware of her emotional state, and Zero needed stable minds around her while they worked.
Now though, she sensed something wasn't right. Zero's voice split the night and Raven wrenched open the door, racing inside.
The Shifter was holding Zero's face as the girl arched up on the bed, her body held in place by the leather restraints.
Raven touched the first body part she could reach, Zero's ankle, sending her senses through the skin to try to determine what was wrong.
