“I can’t believe I am actually having a meal on the same table with you ma’am” Scott said to Cathie, then he bit his bottom lip “I thought I would never meet you in person.” “Are you biting your lip? Cathie asked, leaning forward Scott looked skeptically at her “That was cute, I also thought I would never see a man biting his lip!” Herrick chuckled. “Well, here I am.” Cathie smiled at him “Why would you think that, someone would think I am a celebrity!” “To me you are. You are my role model.” Scott said “I always went to your page online to look up some tips. I always wanted to take some advice from you.” “Oh my! Herrick can you hear that!” She said slapping Herrick softly on his shoulder “You should treat me with more respect!” “Like seriously?” David asked, he was sitting at the other end of the table beside Angela. “Yeah.” Gab said, who would have known. “I have my own declarations to make”, David said looking across the table. “Go ahead.” Herrick said. “Me and Angel are getting married” he said holding Angela’s hand. Everybody at the table busted out laughing except for Scott, Angela and David. Scoot’s face was more of a surprised one while Angela and David were bored. When they stopped laughing Joan said “You should tell us something new boy.” “Dad we are serious”. Angela said. “We know”. Mrs. Rose chuckled. “Grandma!” Angela said, shaking her head “You should ask when”. “Okay.” Cathie said, raising both of her hands up “sweet kids, when are you getting married?” “Next week Sunday.” David said “What?” They all shouted, well except for Scott who raised his brows. “Like seriously?” David smiled at them “I thought you would laugh again.” “Since when have you been planning this?” Cathie asked “I thought you said us getting married is a old news.” Angela said “Really.” Gab said “Who knew it will be so soon.” “You should be expecting it, am surprise” David said “Since we already graduated, what next.” “Nothing.” Herrick offered. “So, you are getting married next week?” Stella asked, raising her brow “That was sudden.” Both Angela and David shrugged. Scott cleared his throat, “You see, we also planned to get married next week.” He waved his hand between him and Gab. Everyone at the table was silent, then they started eating as if their life depended on it. “Really?” Gab shrugged “You have nothing to say?” “What’s there to say?” David asked “We announced first, so you will have to wait!” “Never!” Gab whispered at him. “You might as well do it together.” Mrs. Rose suggested “It will even be more easier. Since we will be having the same guest anyway except for your friends of course.” Everyone at the table nodded their heads in agreement. Cathie swallowed the food in her mouth “Great idea, Fantastic!” “So, your dad would come?” Herrick asked Scott. They knew about his mom from Gab. “Yes, sir” Scott said “Okay, great!” Herrick across the table at Josh, who shrugged “I guess.” Scott learned toward Gab and whispered “I have never seen or heard of a family like this, I don’t know what to call your family.” “I know.” Gab whispered back. Cathie looked at them both and cleared her throat. * * * The wedding was held at the church in town, the reception at the ranch.
