Chapter 10The past doesn't usually come knocking on my door, it kicks it in and drives through with a tank. * * * Scarlett's hooded vision swam. She shook her head and let the man's words sink in. A dozen emotions flashed through her in an instant, from betrayal to shame to fear, and everything in between. The floor shifted a little more as she felt the man sit down. She willed him to pull off her hood. Her muscles tense, she was ready. She only hoped that he didn't know how dangerous she really was. “I'm not that person anymore.” He chuckled. “You'll always be that person.” “You have no idea.” Scarlett's voice dropped an octave. “So you know who I am, who the hell are you?” “You must think me some kind of villain like from the movies. The truth is…” The cloth on her head shifted.
