CHAPTER FIVE

1802 Words
Daisy Deadly red eyes stared back at me, watching my every move slowly. He wanted to feed on my fear and see me crumble; that's what most Alphas do when they demand respect, but I had to show him that I wasn't scared of him or anyone else. Yes, he could break my bones in half or snap my neck in a minute, but I won't give in to him easily without a fight. I quickly looked around the room and found a flower vase. I threw the vase at him, aiming for his eye, to add more marks to his handsome face. I won't deny the fact that those scars on his face made him look even hotter. He realized what I did, but it was too late to catch the vast in his palms, which he could easily shatter into pieces. This made me grin wider, considering the mission accomplished. He let out a shaky breath, and I used the opportunity to throw another, but this time he snapped it in half, dropping it to the ground. His eyes were furrowed, and for the first time, he showed a sign of irritation. "You don't own me," I seethed while trying to open the door, but it was locked from outside. He most have mind link someone to lock it from outside. "That was my favorite vase, do you know how much I treasure it?" He spat, licking the blood that dropped from his chin to his lips. "I don't give a f**k about your flower vase, so let me go," I told him in a matter-of-fact tone. He was acting like an asshole and making a big deal out of a flower vase when I stood there demanding my freedom, but I was also a bigger asshole for causing him pain. "You will have to pay for that daisy," he said in a warning tone. His face healed immediately, like nothing had happened except for the dried blood on his chin, which was proof of what I did. " wizard Oz never told me his gift was a wild animal and didn't put a manual on its operation," he continued. "Did you just call me a wild animal? You realize you are talking to yourself too right?" I huffed out in offense at his words. Technically, I was an animal but so was he. Yes, I did, and there's nothing you can do about it," he shot back. He was right, there was absolutely nothing I could do to an Alpha who was ten times stronger than I am. Who was I kidding? "I could easily have snapped your neck daisy for your disrespect or for throwing a flower vase at your alpha king, but for some reason I can't. Now come here, let's make a deal," he commanded, but I glared at him, unmoving. "Daisy," he warned, noticing my still state. For some reason, I felt he was being soft with me, unlike Steven, who would have beaten the hell out of me or worse, killed me. I kept my eyes trained on him and noticed his eyes turning a frighteningly bright red again. Oh Damn no. My legs quivered toward him faster than the speed of light, and his scent engulfed me. "From tomorrow your maid duties start," I almost let out a snort at his words. "And also you will take care of all my needs," he added, looking at me, his brows and eyes seemingly softening, then a mischievous smile dances on his face, making my heart skip. What kind of needs was he talking about? Does that list include his bed needs? I quickly shook my head at the thought of that, and what happened next surprised me. He was staring intensely at me like he could read my mind, and I didn't know he was able to smile. His smile was so bright, and there was something about him that made him different from the other wolves. He felt different. It wasn't because I thought he was my mate, nor was it because he was an alpha-or even because he was the first guy that I was attracted to, or because he was the alpha king, which is a title given to the most powerful and recognized living wolf. The stories I have heard so far about him all felt like lies; yes, he had a deadly look, but for some reason I felt he wouldn't hurt me. I have always been a good observer and judge of character. Alpha king Elias was not as bad as I thought he would be to my demise, Elias was so much more complex that I wanted to find out the secrets about his mate. He was very calculating; his eyes said so much yet at the same time said nothing. This vexed me, but at the same time I felt proud of him and wished he was my mate. He was making me indecisive and bipolar. I had no control over my life right now, and the only way to get control back is by being the alpha king's friend. I had to find a way to get into his good books so maybe, just maybe, he could set me free. He was like a puzzle I couldn't solve. I wondered what kind of thought was going through his mind as he stared back at me. I stared into his eyes, searching for answers but finding none. "Like what you see," he asked, sending me a playful smirk. Could he be more handsome? "Yes, I do," I didn't deny what he said and scratched my neck, not denying the fact that he was eye-pleasing. I watched his eyes move to my neck, and he licked his lips unconsciously. "Shall I show you your room? Before we try to uncover something we shouldn't have," he said, clearing his throat. His eyes bore deeply into mine, and I understood what he meant by uncovering something we shouldn't, knowing we both have a mate out there waiting for us. I looked down to the ground at the thought of him having a mate out there; she was so lucky to have an alpha king as handsome as he was. Jealousy ran down my body, and I was shocked at my behavior towards him. This was my first time meeting him, yet he made me feel different emotions I had never felt before. I felt electric sparks run down the length of my body as I looked back into his cold blue eyes, the moonlight illuminated them further, causing them to flash brighter. He stood a few distances away with his fingers clenched and his jaw set. He looked like he was fighting himself and trying to hold back from doing something he would regret. A gentle breeze from the window blew his dark chocolate hair off his forehead to show his angry brows and his glaring eyes, which seemed to soften as he watched my every move. A slight shudder ran down my spine as he ran his eyes shamelessly down my body. I blushed, thinking of how I had done the same. "I need to confirm something Daisy," He said suddenly talking a forward and making me take many quick steps back, putting distance between us. My heartbeat picked up at his words, thumping louder as my blood pumped faster throughout my body. The attraction I felt for him seem go be growing stronger. He growled lowly in warning as I took more steps away from him towards the locked door and his two strong arms stopped me, I struggle against his hold at first until an angry growl left his lips. "Why do you keep on running away from me? Are you scared of me " His deep voice questioned. He gently caresses my arm, running his middle finger up and down twice. Why." He growled again, and with my lack of response, he grasped my left arm, shaking me with black filled eyes. His wolf was in control, and mine was fighting to come out. "I'm not running." My voice quiet, I look down at the floor, embarrassed at my stuttering. He gripped my arm tighter, causing me to look up into his blue eyes, which were mixed with darkness. "Do you want to be my lover instead of a lowly maid," He smirked and my eyes flutter wider at his words, goosebumps settle onto my arms and neck. If I wasn't careful enough then Alpha Elias would be the death of me. "Hell no....I have a mate out there, and I wouldn't dare cheat on him!" I replied, ripping my arms away from his white knuckled hands. "I am much better than your mate out there," he said boastfully. " You should be lucky I am considering you to be my mistress. Don't worry if you are scared of me cheating on you then I won't," "How can you say that to me when you also have a mate out there waiting to be loved by you," I shut him back, watching his eyes hold no emotion but complete and utter confusion, his lips are slightly parted and his brows pulled together. "Don't you dare talk about my beloved mate slave," He spat, his eyes growing darker, to the point where the only other color in them was that of the moon reflecting off of them. "Then have some respect for her and don't tell me to be your mistress. Right now your mate will be so ashamed of you," I replied angrily, and then suddenly felt dizzy from lack of hydration. All this shouting and different emotions made my body weak. Before I could fall to the ground, arms wrapped around my waist, holding me tightly to their chest. I look into his cold blue eyes to show my hatred, anger, and sadness through my eyes. "Get away from me," I managed to gather some little strength and hit his chest once with my fist. "You are taking my freedom, I don't want to be your slave or mistress, please just let me go." I whispered breathlessly. His eyes flash something that looks like guilt at my words, but is soon replaced by his hard, cold demeanor. Right now he reminds me of why he was called the mad wolf king. Why he was feared by thousands. My eyes started closing on their own, the alpha dipped his head as my head fell back, exposing my neck. He ran his nose up my neck so lightly and almost lovingly, his hot breath fans my ear, and he quietly hums in content. "I can't seem to let you go, Daisy. Ever because you will be mine soon." He said, and everything in my world goes black.
