Daisy
I gently opened my eyes, rubbing my hands on my eyelids so as to shake the sleepiness from my body. It felt like I was hit by ten trucks. I flipped my body over and then hit my head on the wall.
Ouch, that hurt a lot.
The hard hit on the wall made my memories of what happened yesterday come flooding back in my head. I had fainted due to dizziness and wondered if Elias really carried me in his arms back to the bed or asked someone else to do so.
The thought of being carried by that strong alpha male made my toes curl in happiness, and thousands of butterflies erupted in my stomach.
I began stretching and letting my eyes flutter open and discarded the thought of my attraction towards a man I had only met yesterday.
I looked out the window; the bright morning light seeped in, and the sun was coming up. I threw the duvet off my legs, my feet taking me to the curtains before I yanked them open, and then I saw a balcony besides it.
Wow,how beautiful.
I stepped into the balcony, taking in the sight below me. The early waves crashed in, hitting my face, and no one was in sight. I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply, enjoying the breeze rushing through my hair.
I walked out of the balcony and gave a quick glance around the room, which was surprisingly large. The walls were painted a creamy white, and there was a dark brown dresser at the right end of the room that was unoccupied.
I looked towards the left side of the room; it had a desk with a few books and a vase of fake flowers was placed on it, while the bed I had been lying down on was a queen size bed with beautiful soft red bedsheets. On the floor was a dark red rug that was placed in the center, and the window I opened was covered with white cotton.
At the other end was a decent-sized bathroom. I stepped into the bathroom and closed the door for privacy. Before starting to undress, I turned on the hot water in the tub and examined my appearance in the mirror. My tan skin was covered with a little dirt, as was my hair, which was tangled with mud.
I couldn't believe Alpha Elias still complimented me when I looked like a hot mess. Maybe he was just trying to be polite by calling every woman he knows beautiful.
My face still had little bruises from Steven's punches, but in a week they would be gone. Right now, I looked more like an unsheltered rabbit than a wolf.
I shook my head and entered the shower, allowing the pressure and hot water to break up my muscles' tension. The intense pressure made it seem as though the sky were massaging me.
I never felt so relaxed in a long time like I do right now. I gently massaged my hair with another round of shampoo. My thoughts were clear and then narrowed in on what had transpired yesterday.
I came to the realization again that Elias had offered me to be his mistress instead of a maid, and I won't deny that the offer was a bit tempting.
Elias, the mad wolf king and bringer of death, fear, and horror. He was the one we were told to fear as children, and here I was in his pack land, inside his pack house, inside his shower, feeling relaxed about it.
I really shouldn't be here, yet I felt like it was exactly where I belonged, by his side. It's not like I have a choice, but I couldn't possibly stay with Elias as his lover, it would be unthinkable. It wouldn't be good for me.
Part of me was happy I was sold to someone like Elias, who hasn't hurt me, and I considered the thought of staying with him for a long time, with or without being his maid.
"How could I possibly consider staying with him after everything you have been through?" I thought to myself.
"No, how could you possibly consider leaving?" My wolf voice inside me asked.
"You still haven't said anything about our sudden feelings for him; is this normal?" I asked her back, but of course she didn't respond and disappeared back.
I knew my wolf was also attracted to him, but I questioned all my feelings for him, one for my personal safety and well-being and the other for my desires and needs that I could not control.
I stepped out of the shower and
saw a set of clothes lying on the
bed and also smell the faint scent of Elias in the room, and the thought of him watching me while I was inside the bathroom made my skin hot.
I slipped on the baggy t-shirt and long shorts, then dried my hair with the towel and stepped into the hallway.
I padded down the hall and back into the open field, looking around for someone to tell me where I was supposed to go or what next to do.
After walking for probably a few minutes, a little boy came running up to me. He looked up at me with his brown eyes and a large smile; he was super cute.
"Who are you?" He asked as he licked his lollipop.
"My name is Daisy," I said with a smile, patting his head, and he gave me a wider grin.
"Like the daisy flower?" He asked with confusion written all over his face. He was very cute.
"Yes, like the daisy flower," I chuckled.
"Nice, you are beautiful." He complimented me, making me blush. This boy will sure have ladies fighting for him in the future.
"Thanks, and you're cute,"
"Will you be my mate?" he asked, and I was surprised at his words but played along with him.
"Yes, when you are old enough," I replied back, which made him smile again.
"You are new here, because I know everyone in this pack, and we don't get any new pack members," the kid said as I took a look at the surroundings. Everyone seems busy, like they were all assigned certain jobs. My smile dropped at this. I was thrown into a different world and will not fit in anytime soon.
I have heard of so many people killed for trespassing on the scary moon pack land; those stories have all, in fact, been true. I made the decision then and there not to get too close with Alpha Elias because he kills everyone, not caring if they are old, young, or pregnant. He was ruthless.
I didn't care how much it hurt me
to be apart from him, I knew I would
be safer away from him . For my own personal interest, I couldn't be with someone like him who kills for a living.
Yet why hasn't he killed me for throwing a flower vase at his face?
Suddenly the kid's face was covered with fear, and he ran off as Steven walked towards me. Why was he still here? Was this his pack land? I looked up at him and saw that his injured face was healed, and then he motioned for me to follow him.
He took me away from the field and down to another hall, where he led me into a large kitchen that was filled with pack members and high ranking wolves.
"You are supposed to be downstairs getting the breakfast ready by eight o'clock. It is now eight-fifteen," Steven said, aiming to slap my face, to which I dodged and glared at him.
"No one told me what to do, how was I to know I was in charge of preparing breakfast,"
"You think because you spent some hours with the Alpha King that you are above my order and can talk back at me; , you are nothing but a w***e, which the Alpha King will use and discard once he's done with you. Now go get breakfast ready," he ordered.
"And no breakfast today for you." He added walking out of the kitchen.
What did I do to deserve this hatred from him? I asked myself as I began making breakfast. I made waffles, eggs, pancakes, and bacon.
I finished making everyone's breakfast in ten minutes, during which they all ignored me as they ate and acted like I wasn't present.
I made an extra piece of bacon for myself and hid it under my clothes. I cleared all the used dishes after everyone was done eating and sat in one chair waiting for my next orders.
My stomach grumbled, but I couldn't bring out the pieces of food to eat because I didn't know if Steven was hiding in the conner watching my every move and waiting to strike at me. I placed my hands on my stomach, trying to stop the sounds from getting louder.
"Hey there, I'm Isabella, and your must be Daisy, the new maid; here is the list of chores for today," a lady said, handing me a sheet of paper with her perfectly manicured nails showing.
The lady was very beautiful, and I
couldn't help but admire her beauty, and she seems kind.
The list contained many chores, like..
1. Cleaning the kitchen and putting all the dishware away.
2. Cleaning every room in the house, including the throne room but except Alpha King Elias room.
3. Washing all the clothes, including Alpha King Elias' clothes.
4. Vacuuming the floors.
5. Dusting the house.
6. Polishing the silver.
..And it goes on and on and on.
I couldn't believe I was supposed to do all this without an assistant. If it were a human being assigned to these chores, he or she would have fainted, but thankfully I had super strength from being a wolf.
I started my choirs, cleaning the kitchen first, and ate the pieces of bacon I had hidden earlier. I cleaned all the dishes and put them away. I polished the silver, which burned my skin but didn't hurt me too deeply.
I had to wear gloves next time before I polished the silver, or my hands would be burned to a crisp, although they will heal quickly. After washing the dishes, I cleaned all the rooms as quickly as possible, except the alpha king's room, of course, then went ahead to wash the pile of clothes kept inside the washing machine.
Then I went ahead and vacuumed the floors while waiting for the clothes to be finished in the washer. I dusted the house, and then I transferred the clothes from the washer and sun dried them.
I cleaned all the windows in the house, which was a lot. Once the clothes were done, I brought them to the appropriate rooms.
"Daisy, the alpha king, is having a meeting soon, so go clean the throne room and also prepare a delicious meal for them," Isabelle said, walking past me.
"And also, the breakfast you made was delicious," she added with a wink, and I bowed my head in appreciation. Finally, someone appreciated my efforts.
I walked over to the cabinet and grabbed the finest set of plates for the Alpha. It had designs of wolves over them. The guests coming today must be another Alpha from another pack or higher ranking wolves.
I set the table and placed the silverware in the appropriate places. I set a cup and saucer next to every plate, and after preparing the dishes, I went ahead to cut the grass outside, making sure that it was neat. I watered the blooming lilies that lined the house. Once I made sure the yard was presentable, I walked into the pack house and was met with Steven.
Was he stalking me.
"Why haven't you cleaned the throne room? Don't you know how important this meeting is, " he said, grabbing my chin.
"Yes, I am aware and am about to do so," I said, rolling my eyes. I wished I could slap his face or spit on his face,he was damn irritating.
"And don't ever roll those eyes at me, or else I will kill you," Steven said before releasing his hold on my chin and walking out of the room.
I asked for directions to the throne room but was ignored by the people, but thankfully Isabella showed me. When I got into the throne room, I narrowed my eyes at the throne, the object emitting dangerous power. Its power attracted me to it, it was calling me to go sit in it, and I couldn't understand or explain what was happening.
I took a step closer, to see if there would be any repercussions or if I would be scolded, but thankfully no one was present except me. I smiled to myself and walked towards the throne. The room was a bit dark, but the shining gold that decorated the heavenly chair shone brighter than the sun.
I moved closer and closer to the shining thorne with every step I took. The throne was designed with ivory and gold, which almost blinded my eyes for a minute. The seat was decorated with priceless stones that, if ever exposed to sunlight, would have shone with the brightest gleam.
Once I reached the seat, a golden lion was perched on the chair's armrest, and a matching golden lioness was waiting for it on the other side. My green eyes followed the gold that reached the throne's leg.
A golden wolf and a golden elf were engraved on the lower legs of the throne, and above it on the side is a fascinating arch crafted of the purest gold. Three golden branches wrapped over the arch and joined to form the back of the throne. I was standing in front of the magnificent work of art that had been created by the moon goddess herself.
"I would step back from the throne if I were you," I heard a voice behind me. A devilish smirk blossomed on my lips as I turned to face the speaker.
"Why is that," I asked, raising my brows. Something about him always makes me feel confident about myself.
"You love what you see, don't you." He said so while smiling, and I couldn't deny the fact that the throne was beyond beautiful.
"The throne was gifted to me by the moon goddess herself," he said.
"Really," I said laughing, my back was now to the throne. He actually thought I would believe him when he said the moon goddess herself came down to give him such a gift.
"That's a lie." I c****d my head at him. He walked towards me; his steps were agonizingly slow compared to the ones I took to the throne.
"Want to sit on it," he asked, causing me to lift an eyebrow. He stepped in front of me, forcing me to crane my neck to meet his eyes.
"You are attracted to the power on the throne, aren't you?" He asked again, and my eyes left his and returned to my golden throne. I felt his gaze on my face, studying my every move.
"Why do you think so ?" I questioned hiding my emotions. I wouldn't dare tell him; I felt something in me daring me to go sit on his throne.
"You could sit on it if you wish," he said, making my heart speed up.
I could sit on it. He would actually allow a lowly maid to sit on his powerful throne? That would be an abomination.
"But, you may die, the throne is only meant for my real mate and queen to sit on, and I am surprised you aren't dead from coming this close to the throne." His tone changed, causing me to return my attention to him.
"I could die from sitting on the throne." I was genuinely surprised.
"Yes, but maybe if you accept to be my mistress, I might consider lifting the curse of the throne and you may not die if you sit on it," his smirked playing. His rough hand met my cheek rubbing it softly.
"Never." I snapped, my mood turning sour quickly.
"Fine, have it your way, but you will be in my bed soon," he spoke confidently and fear gripped my soul.
