Elias
My teeth clenched tightly as I thought of her name, Daisy; her name was as beautiful as she was. It suited her perfectly. I clenched my jaw even harder, replaying the sound of her name in my head and thinking of how it would sound on my lips when I screamed her name in my bed.
Daisy. Indeed, she was as beautiful and delicate as a flower.
My wolf purred in agreement, and I kept on typing nonsense in silence on my laptop as my mother and beta chatted absentmindedly while I kept thinking about her.
In my head, my wolf would not stop talking and purring about her. This was the first time we were both crazy about a woman who wasn't our mate.
"Her hips, oh moon goddess. Did you see how large her hips were?" My wolf said awe and I scowled at him, pushing the arousal thoughts away.
We would not dare disrespect her or her body in any way, I refuse to let my wolf do that; as tempting as she may be until she decides to accept my offer on her own will to be my mistress or lover, only then would I think of such.
"I can't believe you asked her to be our lover instead of mate," my wolf snapped angrily.
"She is not our mate and will never be; our real mate died, remember, so you better get used to that fact. She was killed by those bloodsuckers, whom we will soon have our revenge on," I snapped back at him while he growled back.
I understand we were left without a mate, but that doesn't mean we should replace her with someone we just met yesterday because of a mere attraction. Daisy was beautiful, no doubt, but she will be nothing more than a lover in our lives.
"Are you ready to take the portion?" My mom asked, pulling me out of the conversation I was having with my angry wolf, and she pointed to the bag where the portion is kept.
"I'm not taking that sh*t called a portion, Elias," my wolf spat.
"No," I muttered to my mother.
"Why is that? Right now your wolf eyes are red, so I think it's best for you to take this so you can be calm and not hurt anyone again," she argued. If only she knew the reason for my eyes being red right now was because of the new maid.
Daisy
Yes, I had hurt that bastard Steven after he tried hitting Daisy; he deserved that and more. I felt my wolf nod in agreement. At that moment, I saw red and couldn't explain why I acted like that for a woman or cared about her when she wasn't my mate.
"Fine," I said, taking the bottle of liquid from her and drinking it all in one gulp so as to stop her from more nags or making my ears bleed out.
It was bitter and tasteless, just like my life. I felt my wolf slowly retreating to the back of my mind and won't be communicating with me for at least a day or two.
"Mum, could you grab me some of your clothes, please?" I asked her while taking a sip of my coffee, and she nodded, walking out of my office to probably get the clothes.
I could tell she was surprised at me using the word "please" and asking for female clothing instead of being demanding.
I stood up from my chair and stretched my body to relax my thoughts and shift them away from Daisy. Thankfully, my mother was quick with the clothes, which I collected and left my office.
My eyes snapped at the room where Daisy was, and I walked inside; thankfully, she was in the shower, which I was tempted to stay and watch for a while, but I didn't. I kept the clothes on the bed and dashed out of the room before I gave into my arousal for her and broke the bathroom door.
I was the mad wolf king, yet right now I felt weak and powerless, and I was at the mercy of a girl who wasn't my mate. For some unknown reason, I couldn't just let her walk out of my life and used the excuse of her being my maid to keep her by my side.
I walked down the stairs into a different hallway, then into the boardroom, swinging the door wide open, exposing different Alphas and Betas from different packs present.
"Good afternoon, Alpha King Elias." Alpha Daniel spoke up, standing up from the chair.
"Please sit," I replied and walked over to them, taking my seat at the head.
"So, fill me in." I said, taking the sip of coffee in front of me. No one dared look me in the eyes, and all seem so scared to talk.
"The light pack keeps on flourishing daily," Daniel replied, and I nodded my head in agreement. It was true that the light pack was showing much improvement.
They were in charge of agriculture for all ten packs in the werewolf world. It's not like all the other packs couldn't fend for themselves or provide food for themselves, but when their crops all get affected by disease or famine, the light pack doesn't and keeps on blossoming.
"I have to admit, it was a little
hard at first for everyone, but we slowly overcame all our obstacles," he added.
I was pleased to hear that the light pack was still standing even after the death and murder of Alpha Jacob by the bloodsucking vampires. The death of their alpha affected their growth in production.
I was sceptical at first about leaving everything to Daniel, who was the son of Alpha Jacob, but he proved that he was capable, and that made me happy as the Alpha king.
The last thing I needed was extra weight, considering that
I had nine more packs still struggling to stand and needed my control.
"And yours?" I asked Alpha Lucas
and he nodded.
"No complaints at the fire pack; no rogue attacks."
"But how many vampire attacks do you have daily?" I questioned.
"About twice in a week," Lucas interjected, and Daniel nodded in agreement.
"You reported five times a week as of two weeks ago. What happened?" I asked, tapping my chin.
His eyes met mine, and he quickly bowed his head as a sign of respect, then he glanced back at Daniel.
I could read their minds, and the both of them were thinking what I was thinking, which was that the vampires were probably planning a secret attack and waiting for the next moment to strike his pack or another pack at the point of their weakness.
"We're still investigating the attack's alpha. When we find out more information, we will let you know immediately." He replied with confidence as an Alpha, which made me nod shortly. He was ready to take responsibility for any shortcomings.
"And the earth pack?" Daniel asked curiously.
"The earth pack is currently under my mother's control until I find a suitable person who is capable of handling the position as an Alpha." I admitted it honestly.
"I think my cousin will do a great job filling up the position as an alpha, my King." Daniel said.
"This isn't a family business where you get replaced by a family member or child when you die," I spoke up, pinching the bridge of my nose in frustration.
"Alpha, you have seen him fight on the field; he is capable-" Daniel began to argue, but I cut him off.
"And that doesn't mean he is good enough to lead a pack. Leadership isn't all about the fist," I said interrupting him, and both of them and every other alpha present looked at me like I had grown two heads. I was a man who spoke with his fist rather than his words, which is why I have been able to come this far.
"My mother got everything under her control," I said and dismissed the topic.
"Is there anything else?" I asked resting back in my chair.
"Nothing, Alpha King," they replied, bowing their heads.
"I want each one of you to give me a report about the attack happening in your pack in detail before tomorrow morning, is that clear?"
"Yes, Alpha King," they bowed their heads again while I scoffed in anger, standing up from the chair, and walked out of the boardroom, which was also connected to the throne room.
I was pissed at myself for not getting my revenge on those silly bloodsuckers. They were planning to strike first, which could cause more damage, so I needed to act first and fast.
As I walked into the throne room, I was surprised at the sight in front of me, which distracted me and calmed my anger. Daisy was standing very close to my throne and was not dead. My feet had moved on their own accord when I saw her.
Yes, the throne has the power to kill anyone who stands close to it, except me, of course. It was given to me by the moon goddess herself.
"I would step back from the throne if I were you," I said to her with a devilish smirk on my lips, and she turned to face me.
"Why is that?" she asked with a confident smile, raising her brows.
"You love what you see, don't you?" I said smiling. My throne was beyond beautiful, and she knew this.
"The throne was gifted to me by the moon goddess herself," I said to Daisy, walking up to her.
"Really," she said laughing; her back was now to the throne.
She actually thought I would lie to her.
"That's a lie." She said as I walked much closer to her.
"Want to sit on it?" I asked, causing her to lift an eyebrow. I stepped right in front of her, which forced her to crane her neck to meet my eyes.
"You are attracted to the power on the throne, aren't you?" I asked again, and her eyes left mine and returned to my golden throne. My gaze was on her, studying her every move.
"Why do you think so?" She questioned hiding her emotions with a blank face.
"You could sit on it if you wish," I said, ignoring her questions, and I heard the sound of her heart speed up.
I wasn't going to really let her sit on it because she would die.
"But, you may die; the throne is only meant for my real mate and queen to sit on, and I am surprised you aren't dead from coming this close to the throne." I said with a hard voice, the thought of her dying didn't sit well with me causing her to bring her attention back to me.
"I could die from sitting on the throne." She was genuinely surprised.
"Yes, but maybe if you accept to be my mistress, I might consider lifting the curse of the throne and you may not die if you sit on it," I smirked playfully, trying to lighten the mood. My rough hand met her soft cheek and rubbed it gently.
"Never." She snapped, her mood turning sour quickly.
"Fine, have it your way, but you will be in my bed soon," I said confidently, and her eyes widened in fear.
I had no idea what had drawn me to the little beauty in front of me, maybe it was her fierce attitude or her beauty, but the moment she caught my eye yesterday, it was like I could not get her out of my head.
Shut up; your dead mate is probably watching you! I thought to myself feeling slightly ashamed for thinking about another women.
There was something about the small
petite girl in front of me that I found so intriguing that I wanted to get to know her more.
Her hair was long, a dirty brown color, with the widest, most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen. She could not be any taller than five-eight at most; she had to crane her neck every time to make eye contact with me, and I loved that. It made me feel dominant and more powerful over her, and with my six-foot-five height, I had to look down on her.
She looks so pure and innocent, but she was as tough as a stone. The moment we met yesterday, when she threw my favorite flower vase in my face, I knew she would be a handful.
Daisy
Fuck me! Even her name screamed
perfection. I did not miss the way her
body shuddered ever so slightly when
I called her by her name, which made me smirk internally and happy to have caused such a reaction from her.
"Daisy," Her name rolled of my tongue perfectly. Her green eyes snapped up to mine, and I had to stifle a groan as her tongue darted out and ran softly over her bottom lip, begging to be kissed by me.
"Yes, Alpha Elias?" she asked, which took me by surprise. Right now, her voice sounded so angelic and like music to my ears.
The way she said Alpha had my d**k stirring in my boxers, daring to become erect.
Fuck me!
My huge d**k was begging to f**k her.
Soon
"Tell me about yourself?" I asked, trying to distract myself before I did something stupid. I couldn't dare f**k inside the throne room; it would be an abomination and an insult to my real mate, who died.
I sat on my throne while she looked at me with confusion in her eyes, like I had grown two heads.
"I already know you were sold as a slave to me , so I will like to know more about you," I chuckled slightly, hoping she would tell me more about herself.
"Tell me something about you that no one knows ." I said again watching as she silently stood. I don't know why I was suddenly interested in her life, but for some reason I felt connected to her and wanted to explore how deeply my attraction to her went.
