The Mad Wolf King

CHAPTER ONE

Daisy

My toes dug deeper into the cold earth filled with dirt, I sometimes enjoyed the feeling of the brown mush beneath my bare nails. My fingers curled around the green grass pulling them out.

I sighed enjoying the quiet woods surrounding me. The smell of autumn was here, the rustling dead leaves was a sign and the cold winds that blew. This was the only moment I wished I lived forever enjoying the feeling of the air hitting my skin.

I had a nightmare. It was a constant event of my life, especially at night but this time,it was a different nightmare, much scarier. It wasn't about my mum as usual but about a scary monster, a wizard out to get me for the sake of revenge. I couldn't remember his face or what he looked like,but I felt I had seen him before.

I usually woke up every night in fear after dreaming of the night my mum was killed but today I dreamt of her killer. It was horrible. He took my mum away form me and her mate and now he was out to get me.

I looked up at the sky and let out a long sigh of relief, loving the weather it calmed me. It was cold yet the sun was shining, everywhere was peaceful. I could truly live here forever and maybe with my mate laying by my side as we both watch the sunset.

Mate? I haven't ever thought of that. It gave me a feeling of happiness and hope I never knew I wanted and needed. But how was I supposed to find him in my lonely world. I have never had contact or seen other fellows wolves except my father. I was convinced I was destined to die alone and withered like the daisy flower drawn at my back.

I was so caught up in my own thoughts that I didn't sense my father trying to mind link me.

"Anabel, come back home immediately,"His deep voice rumbled in my head in an alarming tone. He sounded scared.

"Dad,you are ruining my moment of peace and quiet,"I mumbled out as I let my head fall to the ground in a soft thud.

I knew he couldn't hear me. This was the first time my dad called me back home when I went out for a run. He knew I was strong enough to protect myself.

Since my wolf disappeared I have learnt to train my human form on being self sufficient. I tried my best to workout daily so my legs became stronger.

"I will be right there," I said closing the mind link between us.

My brown hair fell around my face to my shoulders blending into the brown leaves beneath me. For a quick moment I closed my eyes once more. I didn't want to leave this place as I stayed a little while soaking up the earth's peacefulness and humanity.

Just like my mom farm back ago, this place my was new sanity, running deep into the unknown woods and listening to birds sings was my favorite hobby. I couldn't go back to the farm after my mum blood was spilled there like an a lamb for sacrifice.

It was time to go back to my father. He was the only family I had and we rely on each other for everything. He was scared which was quite usual. I have to be by his side.

"Hey what about me," my wolf asked in amusement making me open my green eyes which greeted the sunlight with a toothy smile,my hands stretched out as they grabbed the grasses pulling me up slightly.

It was the first time in twenty years she spoke out which made me happy some how.

" WOW, welcome back Wolfy. Thanks for finally making your appearance,"I grinned sheepishly.

"I'm so sorry for making you feel alone all this while, I promise to be there for you from henceforth," she said with a kind voice yet stern making the grinned on my face became wider at her words.

"I hope so," I mumbled lowly not wanting to get my hopes high.

"Anabel I think we need to hurry back home to dad," my wolf suddenly said with seriousness, closing our link.

I sighed dramatically at the thought of going back home which reminded me of the nightmares. I grabbed more grass taking my anger out on it, squeezing it until all that's left were wet globs of grass and mud.

"Fine you are right, let's go home," I muttered out, closing my eyesight relaxing as the sun slipped into the clouds almost as if it was angry and the clouds became suddenly darker.

I turned to the direction of my house and started walking and wondering while everywhere became dark suddenly.

The trees whiz by as I ran frantically, dodging fallen trees and low hanging branches. The autumn leaves crunch under my feet as the rock sliced into them but my drive was controlling me not pain. My breathing was rough and heavy,my wolf was begging to come out. It's being a while. A very long while she came out. She was screaming to come out, pushing her way to the real world but I didn't allow it.

Maybe later.

I was happy my wolf was back, I could try convincing my father of joining a pack,I was tired of being a rogue. Now that my wolf was back we could be live a normal wolf life. Would I be accepted? Would I find my handsome mate.

I doubt.

I flinched at the distant sounds of howls coming from the direction of my house. My legs pushed harder and my arms pumped faster.

Something wasn't right.

Fear rushed around my body at the thought of my father being in danger. I let out a growl and push myself to the point where I knew I couldn't go any faster than my human body could take.

I was close to my house thankfully and ran into the house like a madwoman and saw my father looking outside the window, alone.

Thankfully my dad wasn't in danger. So what was that sound? I was quiet sure those scary howl came from the direction our house.

I could feel his body tensed as I walked up to him. I ignored it and patted his shoulder lightly.

"Dad, missed me so much?," I said joking with a fake chuckle cause the atmosphere was too tensed.

"I'm sorry Anabelle,but know I tried my best. Prepare yourself for your new owner. You have been sold." My eyes went wide open at this words in total disbelief. It was the last thing I expected to hear. Sold? To who? Why am I being sold?.

"You must be joking right-" I tried laughing it off clapping my hands.

"I'm sorry," my father said with seriousness and his face fell to the ground.

"Papa what do you mean I am being sold " I asked my father with a low whimper,my face becoming hard.

Yes I knew I sounded pathetic. I knew I sounded weak, just like I have always been but I never knew my father,the only one I love and have in the entire world will be so cruel to do this to me.

I raised my eyes to meet his but his gaze never met mine.

"It's for the best Isabella, I did all I could do.." he muttered lowly and walked to the door taking large strides.

"Best? You selling your only daughter to an unknown person is your best,"

"I had no choice, I did everything for your sake, you might hate me now but you would understand later. You have been sold out and your new owners will be here, Goodbye my little one." He patted my hair lightly and before I knew it, he was out of the door and transformed into his grey wolf running into the woods.

I watched him running in his wolf form in disbelieve until he disappeared out of sight. I stood speechless hoping for what was happening to be a sick joke, hoping for my dad to come and say 'Anabel you have been pranked hard, you should have seen your face'.

But that didn't happen.

I squeeze my eyes shut trying to calm my racing heart because I was honestly shocked and surprised by his words,my mouth was wide open and tears refused to fall out.

I looked down to see my favorite flower pot broken and the beautiful rose and lilly flowers was on the floor.

I bent down to pick the broken glass pot as it was my mother favorite too unknowingly to me at thar moment, tears were spilling out of my eyes.

I and my mum loved picking flowers together when I was little. She thought me how do grow them in a little farm beside our house. Her favorite were Orchids and Carnation whole mine was daisy because of that was my mother's pet name for me was daisy. She said I was as innocent as the flower and I also a tattoo of the flower at my back.

A pathetic whimper escaped the knots of my closed lips,the rest of my body hardened on hearing footsteps walking closer to my door knowing it wasn't my papa. It was my new owners.

The door creek open and two man with hardened face stood in front of me,their lips pressed in thin line.

"You have to come with us right now, you have a new master," one of them said. He wore a red shirt which resembled his eyes.

"And if I don't," I dared asked raising my head and lifting up my left brows in amusement. If they thought I would give up without a fight,then they had another thing coming.

It all happened in a moment.

My body was slammed roughly into the cold hard ground, the broken glass in my hands splatters into my mouth making me gasp out. My body weakend at the impact as his body collapsing onto mine not even trying to keep his weight off of me.

He hovered above me and his nose runs along my dirty cheek, sniffing me, inhaling my scent. His fingers caresses my hips as his lips hover above my earlobe.

"You have no say princess,"His rough voice said sending chills down my spine in an ugly manner.

"I love it when weak female fight back,it's a total turn on," he said pulling me roughly to my feet,grasping my wrists tightly.

"But don't you dare talk back at me you mare mortal,"his voice growled in disdain and fear gripped my heart.

He was a monster.

I quickly tug away from him, glaring him down.

"You have no control over me," I managed to reply him, barely hiding my fear.

"Trust me little girl I own you," his eyes swirl has his wolf surfaces not taking my disobedience lightly.

"I have every rule over you pup," he said stepping towards me, as if he was stalking his prey and I step back every step he takes,until ironically I felt my back scrapes against the wall and he traps me in.

"Your breath sinks," I said to him as arms encased me feeling his hot horrible breath on my neck suffocating me. His eyes widened at my disrespectful reply,his ego and wolf were not happy.

"If wizard oz wasn't presenting you as a gift to the Alpha king, I would sure love to make your pretty little ass mine for a night ,"He spat and punched me in the face before I could reply which drove me to unconsciousness.

The last thing I remembered was my body been dragged out of the house to an unknown location.
