THE MARBLE: Reflection of One's soul. Once upon a time, in New York City, there was an ugly short but rich boy, Philip Claire. He is the heir of Olite company. Two weeks to his wedding he received a message from his fiancee, “it is over between us, I can't spend my forever with you, I don't think I can ever sleep on the same bed and wake up to see your ugly face, your mouth stinks not to talk more of the buggy pimples on your face, you are so ugly Philip.” Philip being devastated decided to take his life. I don't see myself living life with this ugly face of mine, he cried out, he dropped the drink in his hand and moved to the cliff. I will just end everything, looking down from the cliff, fear creept in and then, he decided to go down and find a better way to end his life but then he missed his step. Ouhhh!!! Help me! Help me! He exclaimed, he was able to hold the top of the cliff. Fear was getting a great hold on him, is this how my life will end? From afar he saw a beam of light coming towards him. At first it looked like a shooting star but the rectilinear motion was obviously in his direction, with the speed of light it took him off the cliff. Before he knew it the light swept him to a deserted place. The light suddenly turned to a being looking just human like but addressed as an alien, going close to the body of philip, it was discovered dead. Josh I warned you to always be careful, now you have killed a man, why must it be a time like this 24hours to our return, Susan cried bitterly. Turning to Josh she saw him bringing out the sacred Marble of Zeus. What are you doing with the marble, she asked. I will use it to revive him, he replied. Going close to philip he placed the Marble close to his skin, immediately, dead Philip came back to life looking completely different. Susan who was very amazed turned to Josh, he is now a completely different person. Philip whose vision is blurry looked up to see two people looking at him, where am I? He asked, who are you? Are you the grim reaper? Am I dead?. We saved your life that is all I can say now, josh replied, as he took Susan's hand and started leaving there. Philip started chasing after them moving with great speed to meet up with them. Suddenly they stopped in a kiosk, without looking up, he bumped into them turning around he saw a reflection on the mirror of the kiosk shop. Wondering who could be such a handsome boy, he discovered in the mirror he wasn't seeing himself. He called the attention of Josh and Susan to tell them he can't really see himself. They broke the nut to him, this is the reflection of your soul. * * * * I have been trying to get to Philip for the past 3 days, is it because he is getting married in two weeks that he is treating me like this. Is it because I did not respond to his 18 years advances towards me, Olive complained bitterly. As they entered the car Jason asked Olive how the case is going. It's going great because I'm much better than the prosecutor who was handling the case, Olive said. Jason trying not to get pissed of stared at olives phone and discovered she was looking at Philip's picture. Is that not your friend who you have refused to accept him for the past 18 years. What an unrequited love!! I heard he is getting married, how can an 18 year love die, Jason said scornfully. Enough of me, can we talk about something else, olive asked, I feel like drinking can you join me. I'll rather take you home, Jason replied. * * * * So you mean I saved your life and I came back with this face, Philip asked, and that the marble you are holding is wat saved me. Anyway I don't have a problem I hope this face won't expire. It's almost time for us to go to our world, Josh, let's go susan said. Before we go I need to do the needful, philip from now henceforth you become the owner of the marble, do what you want to do with it, josh said as he handed the marble to Philip. Don't ever resent us remember we saved your life, susan added. Josh held Susan's hand and they disappeared. Philip placed the marble in his pocket and decided to go back home. The next morning, a knock and alarm was heard from the door, rushing to get the door Philip saw his mum. He was amazed and he realizes how much he missed her, he threw his whole weight on her forgetting that he is no longer the philip they recognize. I thought I would never see you again, philip sobbed. Mrs Stella who is this? Where is my son, she asked the housekeeper. Realizing he had another face he had to think really fast. I'm pleased to meet you, I'm Philip's friend, Steven, I have heard alot about you. Where is Phillip, mrs claire asked, he just stepped out to get something, he answered. I don't know philip has any friend, is it from the army, she asked. Yes it is, we weren't very close because he was a brilliant kid and rich but we connected recently and since I was in town I decided to spend sometime with him. It's enough, she exclaimed as she moves towards the door to exit. Philip reaches out his phone to call Olive. Hello vivi, for that was wat he calls her, I'm kind of in a situation now. I'll just go and meet her now so she will believe me. On getting to the office he was refused from gaining entrance and it was raining seriously. He took his umbrella and went towards Olive's car trying to check if the door was opened. * * * * I'm leaving the office now, I forgot some documents at home, Olive explained. looking out of her window she saw a man under the rain protesting so she planned how to pass through without being noticed by the man. As she was sneaking pass the man, he held her hand and passed her a paper which says “justice for Ruby who was killed”. She kept the paper in her bag running towards her car, she saw a boy who was looking suspicious and was wondering about her car. As she got close to the car she gave the stranger a 360⁰ kick where the man found himself on the floor and the umbrella rolling on the floor , being soaked and battered by the rain, Olive on looking at the man saw the most gorgeous man she has ever set her eyes on, lost in words and action she had to reboot her brain and help the man up. She took him inside the prosecutor chamber and went to look for a dry shirt so he wouldn't catch a cold. While waiting for Olive, Philip got a message from his security that his ex was found in the airport. He rushed to the airport hoping to see her. * * * * Miss Favour Nelson, may I have a word with you, a man whose face was covered with mask told a young girl waiting to board the plane. * * * * Please ma'am I'm looking for a young girl, Favour Nelson. Favour Nelson can you come over to the counter a person is looking for you, the attendant announced in the station. Unable to find her he became frustrated and left the airport. * * * * Jason I think I have gotten a lead suspect concerning the ambassadors murder, Olive said while flipping through some documents. How do you know, Jason asked. What will I do, then he remembered that the marble was in his pocket, he brought it out and the marble shone so brightly not knowing how to use it he placed the marble on the chest of the person but nothing happened. A call came from the emergency team, where are you precisely? a man asked, I'm coming out so you will see me he replied. He saw them and directed them towards the place the body was laid. On getting there they could not find any body instead they found hang over soup lying around. Immediately they shouted at him. Never try this prank call, you drunk, if you try this you will end up in jail. Philip who was confused concerning everything stood there more confused. Who exactly was saved by the marble?
