Chapter 1: Broken Hearts on Christmas Eve Chapter 2: A Frosty Chapter 3: Snowed In
The soft hum of Christmas carols echoed through the luxury shopping district as Sierra Hart tugged her coat tighter against the biting wind. Lights sparkled overhead, but she barely noticed. Only hours ago, she'd discovered her boyfriend of three years, Daniel, in the arms of another woman. The betrayal had left her reeling.
Her best friend, Ivy, had swooped in with a solution: a solo holiday retreat to Switzerland. “You need to find yourself again,” Ivy had insisted. So here she was, waiting at the airport for her red-eye flight, numb and skeptical.
Across the terminal, Sebastian Carrington, billionaire tech mogul, sat slouched in his private lounge. His usual charm and confidence had been replaced by a vacant stare. Three months ago, he had proposed to his fiancée, Elena. Last week, he learned she’d been using him for his money and influence. Now, Christmas—his favorite holiday—felt hollow.
Fate, however, had a plan. As the airport intercom crackled with delays, a mix-up in boarding arrangements set Sierra and Sebastian on a collision course—literally.
Chapter 2: A Frosty Introduction
Sierra stumbled backward, coffee spilling over her travel bag as she collided with a tall, sharply dressed man.
“Watch where you’re going,” she snapped before looking up, only to meet Sebastian’s stormy gray eyes.
“I could say the same,” Sebastian replied coolly, brushing a drop of coffee off his tailored coat.
Their interaction was curt, and neither was in the mood for pleasantries. However, fate wasn’t done with them yet. When their flight was delayed due to snowstorms, the airline announced a last-minute resort package for stranded passengers. Sierra and Sebastian both signed up, unaware they were about to become temporary neighbors in a luxury chalet.
Chapter 3: Snowed In
The chalet was nothing short of magical, with its panoramic mountain views and roaring fireplaces. But for Sierra, it felt empty. She unpacked her bags in silence, feeling out of place among the opulent furnishings.
Meanwhile, Sebastian was in the suite next door, scowling at the forced vacation. His assistant had booked the trip in an attempt to lift his spirits, but he wanted nothing more than to brood in solitude.
When a freak blizzard trapped the guests inside the resort for the night, Sierra and Sebastian found themselves seated at the same communal dinner table. Small talk was inevitable.
“You’re here alone?” Sebastian asked, his voice cutting through the chatter around them.
“Yeah. Needed a change of scenery,” Sierra replied cautiously, unsure why this stranger was prying.
“Same,” he muttered, raising his glass. “Here’s to changes of scenery.”
