Chapter 15: Pink Lotus Wolf diary

1477 Words
Kyle POV Leaving the room my mate was now being reunited with her friends, I patted myself on my back as the plan was working, and everything was running smoothly. The only thing that was taking its sweet time, was the i***t of a mate who was having trouble trusting us, particularly Zara, whom I should have known would have a hard time but I am running out of time. Hopefully, my plan will persuade Mishi to trust Zara; if I can get the other girls who bully Mishi to treat her normally, it will be fun to get Zara to pretend almost to perfection that she is genuinely trying to be Mishi's friend, and including Natally, and Samantha. There are still a few minor details to sort out, one of which is getting Mason off my back, he isn’t happy to be having Samantha around more often. I am starting to suspect he is hiding something from me, but at the very least, my father is starting to believe me; learning Mishi is of both Alpha and Luna blood has complicated matters for him. His rage over not knowing there was a hidden Luna in our pack, combined with an unknown daughter from an Alpha, exacerbated the situation; mom was taken aback when she found out about all of this last night while Mishi was resting in the hospital. Mom started looking into Mishi's parents this morning, while I was stuck learning about Damon, who has been stalking Mishi and her mother. After Mishi's mother, Luna Fiona, was arrested, the guy vanished, and two of our best warriors tracked him down to the rebellious land of Blobury, also known as the Blood City to humans. To us, it is known as the Blobury Pack lands, where many hobos are known to live, but it is also where the rouges live, and where the deserts are surrounded by the forests of both the Deeford and the Sapphire packs. Barbaric beasts live at the Blobury pack, and there is only one Alpha who has a vendetta against my father's pack. Which, in truth, will be my pack one day. I adore my pack; we are known as the Sapphire Pack because of the Alpha's special ability; each Alpha is endowed with their own unique abilities, but the catch is that we can only unlock them with our fated mates, which is the most difficult challenge for me. I despise the idea that I have to rely on the mate bond, a worthless companion who cannot do anything without me; the idea of it, however romantic other make it look, irritates me to no end, and I can’t stand the idea of being vulnerable. After learning some information about my ill-fated mate, nothing changed for me; her parents did not want her, and I do not want this stupid bond either. I do not want to be held back by some stupid she wolf who obviously wasn’t wanted by her own parents; anyone who knows me knows that a mate bond is the weakest aspect of being a werewolf. Now that I arrived to the training grounds, I took my clothes to change and begin my training with the pack before I trained with my dad. Training with the warriors gave me a lot of relief; I did not get any results of the things I have to work on, but my anger at that stupid mate was gone from my mind, until I got my mothers link. 'Kyle, come to my office, hunny.’ Taking my towel, I retire for the day; my mother must have discovered something, and I wondered what she discovered. The training grounds were located behind the pack house, making it easier to get everyone closer. Zara had been trying to get on Mishi's good side, but the mutt of Natally and omega Samantha are not helping; hopefully, my idea of Zara beating the bullies will persuade them to trust her, or I’ll become their worst nightmare. She knows if she makes this happen, I will make her my Luna just to make sure the position is filled; if everything works out, Alpha Marco's war will be over, and I will be Alpha of the world's largest pack. When I walk into my mother's office, she throws a shirt at me and says, "Dress, Kyle, you are not a porn star." I sigh heavily but put on the white shirt. Looking around, there are books, maps, laptops, news articles, folders, and I swear I saw a tablet or two open with Blobury Pack information. Putting the towel around my neck, I held it with both hands to keep it on the back of my neck while asking my mother. "You wanted to talk to me?" She was sitting on the ground, surrounded by her books, looking at an old book with a Pink Lotus on its pages. “Sit.” I took a seat in front of her to see what this was all about. She took that same book and turned it to me. Taking it, I read in bold letters, 'PINK LOTUS WOLF.' I furrowed my brows at the title but kept reading. After reading a good portion, I kept moving the pages, wondering why my mother was reading this; it was an old legend about a wolf that would intertwine with the sapphire wolf, whose powers would be unstoppable if they ever came together, but only one in a century is born. I looked up at my mother, who was staring at me with her pink eyes; having mated with my father, she, too, has sapphire wolf characteristics, but my father awoken his; it is a wolf only passed down from my mother's side, which was strange to say the least; my father had never heard of the sapphire wolf before meeting my mother. I recall my mother's story: her pack was destroyed, and she was sent to this side of the world with a local who adopted her until her family came for her. After she arrived here, she was to live with the Deeford Pack; my father was there doing business; they were only recently of age when they noticed each other; the second dad found her, he took her to our pack, and not long after I was born. Both of my parents adore each other. My father redid the entire pack house to accommodate my mother's beliefs about the sapphire wolf, which surprised the pack, but only after my father marked and mated did his wolf appear. The fact that everyone was surprised to learn that the wolf was not just any wolf caused the entire pack to react differently. Mom wrote a book about the Sapphire wolf; she had one in her old pack in their language but it was destroyed, so I am glad mom wrote it all down. According to my mother, it is the first time she is gotten the Sapphire wolf, but my father did. She did, however, get the wolf's pink eyes, which is strange to me but not to mom; according to the information, Sapphire wolves only share their powers with their fated mates. If their fated mates die or are rejected, they can keep their powers, but they are weaker than when their fated mates were together or alive. If I have a strong Luna replace my fated mate, nothing will change; in fact, it will strengthen the pack. Finishing the pages of this title, I read something interesting: "the pink lotus wolf cannot shift after it is been rejected, and its pretense is returned into a slumber until its fated mate takes the rejection back and passes the trials of the seven tails." The f**k is the Seven Tails Trial? Pushing my head back, I look at my mother, who was smiling at me as she handed her book back. I asked her, "What do you think about this mom? You do not show up and call just to show me; you have an idea or something I am unfamiliar with." She took the book and then took out a magazine-sized folder. Opening it, she says, "Mishi's parents are destructive people; her mother was sold by her father to the Alpha of Blobury pack; according to my information, she was a mistake to their union because Alpha Marco needed an heir; he took a chosen mate and turned his fated Luna rogue; how she managed to get into our pack lands unnoticed is still something I am trying to figure out, but one thing is certain: Damon is not just a person." She captured an image of a man who appeared oddly familiar. "The man in the photo is Alpha Marco Cooper; does he look familiar to you, Kyle?" My eyes widen at the similarities between him and Damon.
