CHAPTER TWENTY THREE It took every ounce of restraint Keri had not to floor it once she was on the road. But that would have drawn suspicion from the FBI, local cops, and the media alike, so she cruised out of the neighborhood at the posted twenty-five miles per hour. It only took her three minutes to get to Del Rey Lagoon Park but every second felt like an hour. When she pulled up a block away from the dark, deserted park, she could tell that she was too late.
