CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR An hour later, Keri sat on the stained loveseat in Lieutenant Hillman’s office, waiting, pretending everything was fine even though it most definitely was not. The door was closed so she couldn’t hear much. But she knew everyone in the bullpen was stealing glances at her so she kept her face impassive, hiding the churning anxiety she felt inside.
