Jules hurried into the elevator and down to the lobby, her legs working faster than her brain as she fought to catch up with Nolan.
'You have nothing to explain to him, Jules. You didn't pass the judgement. You have no hand in this,' the voice in her head whispered, but she gave it no audience as she pushed open the front door of the building.
There was no sign of him out front, so that left only one place-the parking lot.
