Chapter 12

1192 Words

Jules folded Asher's tiny clothes lazily, her eyes flicking to the crib every few seconds. He snored softly, lips slightly parted, one chubby hand sprawled across his sky-blue blanket. She still wasn't over Nolan's unexpected visit days ago, and the fact that he'd seen Asher made her even more uneasy. Now he knew the baby survived, and when he left her house that day, he didn't sound like he was going to let her be without intruding into her life and Asher's. But that was just a part of her worries. There was Ethan. And she didn't want to find out what he'd do if she told him that the man who'd left her broken and pregnant when he found her was back and wanted a say in the child's life. A child whom Ethan had watched slip out of her, a child whom he'd watched grow up to this point.
