“If you can dream it, you can do it” Walt Diseny... Raven’s POV ‘champagne ma’m ?’ The waiter asked with a smile as he handed me a note before pointing to a man on my far right . Milo Barnes raised his glass to me, and I returned the gesture before opening his note . ‘That piece is even more captivating with you staring at it’ I read almost out loud. The cheat with ace of Diamonds was indeed a captivating art piece. I could already imagine it placed along side my over growing collection, but Milo’s choice of words made me think less and less of It . ‘Amazing isn’t it ?’ Milo said as he approached me . The strong stench of his cologne hit me as I struggled to keep my smile constant. ‘It’s a spectacular sight . You know as a child i use to think the canvas was covered in diamonds, but less is more I guess’ I said before turning to him . I knew Milo had no interest in this painting or any other painting in this museum, and that made him the perfect target. His knowledge of art was as terrible as the suit he had on and his haircut, even now his eyes were fixated on nothing but the cleavage of my dress. One part of me wanted to bash his head against the glass sealing the painting , and the other calmed me since I was getting exactly what I wanted. ‘Milo Barnes my eyes are up here silly’ I said with a playful smile. I would continue to play the rich, dumb blonde while he continues to be my scapegoat. ‘I’m sorry Andrea , I just tend to get lost around beautiful things.you see art isn’t just my passion, I generally have a good eyes for the finest things on earth’ he placed his hand on my shoulder and roughly caressed it . “Looks like you’re about to loose that good eye” is what I would have said if I didn’t need him to be this touchy with me . I placed my hand on top of his and gave it a light squeeze ‘I wonder what other things you have a good eye for’ without breaking eye contact with him I bit my lips and that was all I needed. Milo signaled his bodyguards , I could feel my muscles starting to tense as we walked out of the large museum . My eyes scanned the movement of his security team and it was nothing I couldn’t handle if things went south . Milo placed his hands on my lower back as he lead me to the vip section , the live orchestra immediately died down as we entered the room. He whispered something to his men before shutting the door in their faces. ‘You would not believe what I just found out my beautiful Andrea’ Milo said like he was about to break the news of the century I raised my brows in curiosity which encouraged him to go on . ‘I just purchased the cheating diamonds’ I looked at him genuinely confused this time ‘the cheating diamonds ?’ I asked before it hit me . He was talking about the painting from earlier. ‘Wow, I was gonna wait till it was being auctioned off’ I pouted my lips in attempt to look sad ‘Oh come on princess, why do you think I got it in the first place’ he said slowly approaching me. ‘For you’ he added With every tense muscle in me I faked my most genuine excitement ever. I squealed rushing to his arms and giving him a light pec on his cheek . ‘Oh Milo , you’re so good to me’ I said still trying to look chirpy even though I was about to pass out from his stench. ‘Of course princess, girls like you deserve the best of everything’ he was about to lean in for a kiss , but was interrupted by a knock on the door . He let out an angry growl ‘I said not to be disturbed’ The door open slightly and one of his men entered. ‘Sorry Boss, but we gat a lady out here who claims she’s an art curator and wants to talk about your recent purchase’ ‘Tell her we can talk paintings later, I’m busy’ Milo said to him. But that wasn’t my plan, I had to get him to talk to the curator. ‘Did you say curator ? She must be here to talk about the terms of selling the art to you , they always do this and then end up selling it to a different person’ I said and waited for his reaction ‘They can do that , I already paid in full price’ he answered angrily He finally let me go and I sat on the bed ‘it’s art Milo, a lot of people want it. Plus if you talk to her now the deal could get sealed today itself, and that would make me so happy’ I placed both my arms behind me for support and crossed my leg The long slit in my dress exposed my thighs playing into his imagination ‘I’m sure you want me happy, don’t you ?’ His eyes trailed down my body before he took a deep breath and said without taking his eyes off me . ‘Take me to this curator, I’ll definitely get that painting’ Before he left I blew him a kiss, which was certainly the first and the last. Immediately the door was shut I sprang to me feet , ‘Leo I got your signal is everything ready ?’ ‘We’re ready when you are spider’ Leo answered through the intercom’ Without hesitation I head for the bathroom, after giving the massive bathroom one last scan I sprung into action. ‘Leo did you do a sweep on the vents ? I need them clear of cameras’ I asked as I climbed on the counter to reach for the vents. ‘The vents are a blind spot , and sally is ready for your signal’ I struggled to climb into the vents in heels and a dress but I was already used to it. ‘I’m in,and tell Sally I’ll be with her in a minute’ I said before I started crawling my way to claim my prize. I quickly unbuckled my heels before I jumped out of the vent into an empty hallway. The orchestra could still be heard here and it was to my advantage. ‘Wow, I don’t know why I pictured you more glamorous jumping out of a vent in a dress’ sally said with a little chuckle ‘ well next maybe you can crawl the vents, and also be the pretty girl for bait’ I said unzipping my dress as she handed me a duffel bag . ‘But you do it so well it almost looks so easy’ We both laughed this time I quickly changed out of the dress and blonde wig into a more comfortable outfit. ‘Ready ?’ I asked Sally ‘Let’s give these tossers something to talk about for the next month’ I smirked at her reply as we walked down the hallway. I could already feel the usual adrenaline rushing through me, and I loved it ‘Jerome how are we doing on crowd control ?’ I asked as we approached the museum safe, breaking into a word class safe without raising any alarms, there was no better pair than Sally and me . ‘Clary just fainted, I think it’s a little bit over dramatic but the people out here are buying it so all is good’ Jerome answered. ‘No amount of Clary’s acting is ever gonna beat seeing you in a waiter’s costume, I’m gonna be having nightmares for months’ Sally joked. I could almost imagine Jerome’s angry face right now, but Sally was right. When Jerome offered me the note and champagne earlier I was looking anywhere but his costume. ‘Very funny’ Jerome said in an angry voice. Leo was obviously dying of laughter and I wondered how clary was holding up since she was pretending to faint. Our work was swift and fast , Sally was one with the codes and combinations and I was the handy girl. In less than a minute the safe cracked open . We gave each other little smiles but it wasn’t time to celebrate yet, the party just started.
