Oscar felt a pang in his heart, as he carried Amira in his arms. She had no weight at all, and she was as thin as a broom, but her beauty is unprecedented. Despite the maltreatment from Sara her stepmother but couldn't hinder her beauty.
Squeezing her small frame a little to avoid hurting her. Oscar looked around before doing what he has in mind, and before Amira could realize where they are, they were already in a house.
"Oh my God. Where are we?" She sparks anxiously quivering in dismay.
But, Amira was barely keeping her eyelids open, as sleep threatened to take over her. The environment had switched in a flash and all of a sudden, they were in a house, and there was no way she could escape the egregious and peculiar act.
"Don't worry, you're in my house. Am ain't gonna hurt you." Oscar replied as he stare at her curious and mystified expression. She looked like she'd seen a ghost and he chuckled slightly.
"Where are you taking me to? Please put me down." Amira writhed, as she tried to free herself.
"Stop, I'm taking you to the bedroom." Oscar said, flashing her a reassuring smile that was so pleasurable.
"I'm ain't comfortable. Put me down now." She insisted as she struggled to try to jump off him.
Oscar decided against taking her to the bedroom, as he slowly and gently laid her down on the couch in the living room.
She felt comfortable, but just in a fraction of seconds, a pleasant hum escaped Amira's mouth as she felt a warm sensational wrapping around her shoulder, where she had a bruise.
"Please take me back, I wanna go back home." She said yawning lazily, trying hard to control her dizzy and sleepy eyes.
Oscar seemed taken aback as he watched Amira who suddenly got up from the couch in an attempt to run back home. But she was tired, she was just struggling to avoid been beating by her parents.
Oscar moved closer to her, and stare deep into her bright blue eyes, and slowly held onto her shoulder before whispering some incoherent words to her.
Amira who was ready to take her leave, as she wasn't comfortable being alone with a total stranger in a room, and she felt herself getting dizzy. She felt herself losing her grip on her control till she couldn't handle it anymore. Her heavy eyelids finally gave up and fluttered close, and she adjusted herself properly on the couch, as she fell into a deep slumber.
"Sleep, little princess, sleep my love." Oscar continue to whisper even as he watched her finally gave up her struggling.
He sang the words that felt like a sleeping pill on Amira's ear.
Oscar looked transfixed at her face and felt even more drawn to her. His hands twitched, as he slowly extended them towards her, but Oscar had no bad intention, as he didn't want to do anything silly. And it took a lot of his self-control to endure the torture of carrying her to his house. Oscar was holding himself back from doing something he might regret after.
Immediately, Oscar bit down on his lower lips, as his hand approached Amira's face. He finally cupped her face, before he gave her a soft, warm perk on her right cheek.
Amira was in mystery which Oscar knows from her current state, but he couldn't do anything. He knows very well Amira loves her parents very well, despite everything, especially her father.
As Oscar looked at Amira, he wondered what he should do with her, as he never want to hurt her, while she was in deep slumber.
He stood still for a moment. His attention focused on nothing. His mind was lost in his current predicament. As series of contemplation ran through his head, and he was finding it difficult to make a simple decision, that he wouldn't regret after.
Sighing to himself. Oscar brought his mind back to reality as he stare at the wild city. The day was dark already and the rain had stopped pouring. He felt it was time to wake her up.
He turned and look at her a little before heading back to the couch, she was sleeping comfortably.
Amira hummed in her sleep as she turned on the couch, with her legs spread on the back of the couch as if that wasn't enough. She flipped to the other side of the couch, while she uses her hands to feel the soft sofa before hanging her legs and hands everywhere.
Anyone paying good attention will assume that was her first time sleeping on such a comfy sofa. She felt so comfortable and happy.
Normally, she used to have her own room, but since her father got married to Sara, that privilege has been taken away from her, and the floor becomes her comfort.
'Oh my goodness. I don't wanna wake up from this sleep. This bed feels so comfortable.' Her lips curled up as she unknowingly smiled in her sleep.
She suddenly furrowed her browns in her sleep, and something felt so unusual to her, so she slowly fluttered her eyelids open. But to her greatest surprise, a cold grey eyes that were a few inches away from her were staring right back at her.
"Oh my God. You scared the life out of me." Amira screamed, scrambling up from the couch while she held onto her racing heart, and tried to catch her breath.
"You're finally back." Oscar said, winking her a clearly visible smile.
Amira quickly looked around the room, before glaring at Oscar.
"Where am I?"
"My house, I believe I said that before." Oscar retorted.
It's not as if he had any negative thoughts or had any bad intentions to take advantage of her.
"What the hell am I still doing here." Jumping up to her feet. Amira ran over to the window as she gazed into the dark Street.
Amira felt herself getting nervous and agitated.
"H-how long have I been sleeping?" She asked abruptly, her heart pounding heavily on her chest as breathing became difficult for her. She bends forward while holding onto her chest in dismay.
"Stop the panicking and calm down." Oscar slowly kneeled before her. And it was 12:26 am at the time.
"You don't understand. How do you expect me to calm down while in a strange house alone with a stranger?
"I understand you better, but believe me. You're in safe hands"
"I don't think you understand what awaits me. Please I want to go back home." She gritted her teeth in dismay.
Immediately, Oscar looked up at her, causing their gaze to lock.
Oscar knew from the depth of his heart, that Amira needed his help, as she needed a savior who'd rescue her from whatever suffering tormenting her freedom.
"I will take you back home." He said, as he turn over and headed to the table and pick up an envelope. This caused Amira's attention, and she wondered what he was holding.
"Common, take this. I know you will need it." Oscar said.
"What do you have there?" She was a bit scared to accept what she don't know. Though, she didn't want to collect the envelope, but her curiosity won't, as she stretched her hands over and collect the gift.
"I can't take this. It's too much please." Amira mumbled the moment she unwrapped the envelope.
"I understand, but you have to go with it if you wanna go back to that house. Unless you wanna stay with me." Oscar announced gently.
"If I may ask. Why should I wanna be with you?" Amira smirk?
"That's because I won't trouble you as they do." He said firmly.
"Please, I can not. It will worsen my situation. Just allow me to leave." Amira mumbled as she refused the envelope and headed towards the door.
"Just try and collect it. I believe it will help to calm them down." Oscar affirmed.
For some splitting seconds. They stare deep into their eyes without mumbling a word.
"Just take it alright."
Amira looked up at the envelope, before gazing back at his face meaningfully while pondering whether to take it or not.
"Thanks." She said abruptly, and stylishly collect the envelope and hug him before fleeing the room.
For a moment, Oscar stared transfixed at Amira's body, as she headed to the door.
