She said as I released her wrists and stepped back away from her. "f**k and move on." She let out a shaky breath."Exactly." I raked my hair with my fingers. "Isn't that what we agreed on?" I flung my hand in the air while the other was in my pocket."Agreed on what?" 1. CAFETERIA CONFERENCE
HIII!!!!! I just wanted to give you a quick heads up. I was twelve or thirteen years old when I first started this book. I had just started writing and was VERY amateurish...the opposite of what i am TODAY. So definitely you're gonna come across A LOT of mistakes and be stressed about how long some chapters are. But i kept on improving in my myself, so if you manage to get through the beginning areas of this book, GOD BLESS YOU!😹. it's not easy, at all, but trust me, the book is worth going through the few chapters that was filled with my young mistakes because later on, i grew. brace yourself for a little while. but anyways, thank youuuuuuu. DEDICATION: To all the girls that craved for the hottest guy in school to fall for them. "There is no use in trying to command or control her, Because at the end, You will be the one controlled." —Empress Quotes. COMMENTS MAKE ME SMILE 🙃💛 GABRIELLA DALMONTE'S POV: "Okay class, you are dismissed. We'll have our next meeting on Monday morning," Mr. Newman my math teacher, had just announced as he finally put an end to the bell's incessant ringing. I swear, that thing was louder than abuela's gossiping group. "Ugh, finally, lunch time. I feel like I haven't eaten in years," Kylie, my new seatmate exclaimed looking relieved. Our class was ridiculously small, with only five of us – all girls, no boys. The empty seats and desks seemed to mock us, arranged in neat rows and columns like a prison yard. Is missing the first day of school normal for Americans, or do they just not care about the consequences? I wondered. Before I could ponder further, a brunette girl at the back who I thought was named Adelaide (or was it something else starting with A?), chimed in. “Ditto.” "You guys exaggerate over everything," a girl behind Kylie said. tuned her out and focused on the valley girl in front of me who was rubbing her stomach like it was a magic lamp. "I'm literally starving right now," she said, her accent thick and Valley Girl-esque. I raised an eyebrow; was she for real? "C'mon Gabriella, let's go to the cafeteria, it's upstairs," someone said. I turned to them, confused. "Huh? There are more floors? I thought this was the top floor," I replied, feeling like a clueless newbie. "No silly, we have like literally a hundred more floors," the girl said, and I face-palmed internally. Someone needed to teach her what "literally" meant. Delilah came in. "You seriously don't know the meaning of literally." "Of course I do Delilah. Its umm it means umm the....you know..." The valley girl stuttered. Delilah asked, exasperated, "The umm what?" She let out a dramatic "Owww!" and massaged her temples. Adelaide (or whatever her name was) asked, "What happened?" with a bored expression. She complained, "Great Delilah, you made me think, now my head hurts." Delilah just shook her head and said, "Let's just go." "The umm what?" Delilah ask her. "Owww!" She let's out as she massages her temples. "What happened?" Adelaide, I think. Yeah Adelaide. Let's just go with that. She puts on a bored expression as she asked. "Great Delilah, you made me think, now my head hurts." The valley girl complains. "Let's just go" Delilah says as she shook her head. ~~~~ The elevator doors swung open, revealing the sprawling cafeteria. "Ding!" The valley girl chimed in, her enthusiasm grating. Delilah rolled her eyes, "You do know it's not compulsory to echo the elevator, right?" The valley girl hugged herself, "I just literally love doing it." I gazed at the chaotic cafeteria, taking in the noisy, affluent students who seemed to disregard basic decency. My eyes landed on the food stations, and my stomach growled at the sight of tortillas. "Food," Kylie and Adelaide chimed in unison, their voices hypnotized by the aromas. The valley girl turned to me, "So, Gabriella, what do you want?" I scanned the options, overwhelmed. "Umm, I don't know," I admitted. The valley girl beamed, "There's the vegetarian section, where I always go. I'm a vegetarian." Kylie added, "The junk food section, the meat-filled section." Adelaide chimed in, "And the glutton section. What's it gonna be?" "Glutton seems nice," I replied, and Adelaide led the way. As we joined the line, she checked the TV menu, "Spaghetti and meatballs, yum." We grabbed our food and headed to a table near the cafeteria's end. Adelaide asked, "So, which school were you at before Richewood Academy?" "Antonio High," I replied. She slouched, "Never heard of it." I twirled my spaghetti, "It's not well-known here." As I took a big bite, I promptly burned my tongue. "Hot! Hot! My mouth!" I exclaimed, dropping my fork. Adelaide snapped her fingers, "Someone get me a bottle of cold water. Stat!" Boys materialized with water bottles, vying for her attention. She collected a bottle and handed it to me, "Here, Gabriella." I gulped it down, relief washing over me. The boy who handed it over looked mesmerized, and Adelaide smiled flirtatiously. When I asked for another bottle, she obliged, and the boy with glasses blushed at her thanks. After dismissing the boys with an air kiss, one jumped for joy, exclaiming, "She says she loves me!" I turned to Adelaide, "Thanks so much. You saved my life." She looked surprised, "No problem. Just blow next time." I laughed, and she asked, "What was that about?" "Many boys like me, and my brother's popularity doesn't hurt," she explained matter-of-factly. I nodded, intrigued. The valley girl shifted topics, "So, how were your holidays?" "Horrible," Delilah chimed in before I could respond. "Yours?" ~~~ "Hey!, I'm Devenity." Delilah's sister turned to me. "Hi." I gave her a small smile. "I actually also came to steal her from you guys. Sorry." Devenity stated and gave a glance at her sister's facial reaction. "Steal? I'm confused." I gave her a confused smile. "Not literally. Anyways, you coming?" "Umm to where?" I questioned. "To that big table with that boy on top of the table lassoing his blazer." She points out the boy. "Wow, kul." I said but in my mind I'm all like, Why is he doing that? "Yahh, so you coming?" Just as I was about to answer, I got rudely interrupted. "Ye-" "No, she's not coming, byeeeeeeeeeee." Delilah gave a big eye roll to her sister. "No one asked you...idiot." She muttered the i***t part. "So, can you come? Pleeeasssee." She begged me. "Noooooooo". Delilah said answering for me..again. I was already getting annoyed. "Again, wasn't asking you. And....Tania asked of her." She gave a simpering smile. "Don't worry, she can go. The last thing I wanna do now is to bicker with Tania." She faced her attention back at her food. Devenity smirked at Delilah. "Let's go Gabriella." "Yeah sure." I stuffed some strands of spaghetti into my mexican mouth before I walk away. "See you later, I guess?" I said with a mouthful of spaghetti and then followed Devenity. ~~~ Here's the rewritten section: "Gabriella, hang on a sec, I'll meet you later," Devenity said, her attention diverted by a notification on her phone. She walked away without waiting for a response. "Gabriella!!!" Someone called out, and I turned to see Amber rushing towards me with a huge smile. We hugged, and I felt a wave of relief wash over me. Finally, someone I knew. "Hi Amber," I said, grinning from ear to ear. We broke the hug, and she asked, "How are you doing?" I replied, "I'm great, how about you?" "I'm doing amazingly well," she said, her eyes sparkling. "This school is incredible! I just got invited to two different parties." I raised an eyebrow, impressed. "Wow, you're so lucky," I said, trying to hide my pout. Amber offered, "You can come if you want." I declined, "Thanks, but I don't like crashing parties." "Fine, just come and interact with us, and I'm sure they'll invite you," she suggested. I hesitated, feeling a bit nervous. Amber reassured me, "There's nothing to be afraid of, they're super cool and nice." We walked to the table, where four people were seated. Amber introduced me, "Hey guys, she's here." A blonde guy smirked at me, but I made it clear I wasn't interested by ignoring him. An intimidating girl with a bored expression spoke up, "Finally." She gave me an order, "Sit down." I raised an eyebrow, taken aback. Who did she think she was? "Why?" I asked, my tone firm. She rolled her eyes, "Cuz' I want you to, duh." I gave her a sarcastic eye roll, and she snapped back, "Pfft...a little please would have been nice." The blonde guy chuckled, amazed by our exchange. The girl, Tania, said with a sarcastic tone, "Alright, 'Princess', pweease can you sit down?" I refused, "No." The table fell silent, with everyone staring at us. Tania's forehead creased with annoyance, "Why?" I looked straight into her eyes, my voice firm, "I don't take orders from anyone." Tania's voice rose, "Well, princess, I'm technically the Queen of this school, and no one refuses me." She stood up, her face red with anger, "When I tell someone to do something, it's expected that they'll do it." I shouted back, "And like I said, I don't take orders from anyone!" The room was silent, with everyone watching our confrontation. Amber sat there, eating her food, seemingly oblivious to the drama unfolding. Kylie and Adelaide approached us, asking, "What happened?" Here's the rewritten section: I was too caught up in the argument to pay attention to what Kylie, Adelaide, and the others were discussing. But when Adelaide's phone beeped, she glanced at it and said something, prompting her and Kylie to leave immediately. Tania's voice rose, "I will order you, whether you like it or not." I snapped back, "No one shouts at me!" The cafeteria erupted in a chorus of "whoahs" and "wows." Tania declared, "I, Tania, am the Queen of this school, and everyone listens to me!" I retorted, "I don't give a f**k if everyone listens to you. All I know is no one commands me!" Someone in the background shouted, "PERIOD!" Tania threw her hands up in frustration, "Shut up, okay!" I shot back, "Don't tell me to shut up!" Our voices escalated, drawing attention from the surrounding students. Just as it seemed like things couldn't get any more intense, a dimwitted guy approached us, trying to sound calm but failing miserably. "Hey girls," he said, his voice trembling. Tania and I shouted in unison, "WHAT?!" The guy stumbled, "Umm...I just uhh...hehe." Tania folded her arms, her eyebrows raised, and her foot tapping impatiently on the floor. "Speak, Jake," she ordered authoritatively. The poor guy stuttered, "Uhhhhh...ummm...Umm I ummm...ahh..ummm." I lost patience, "For piss sake, speak!" which made him flinch in fear. Tania was already annoyed, "Why the f**k are you stuttering, Jake?" The guy stuttered again, and I grew more frustrated, "Ughhhh!!!" Just when it seemed like Jake was about to collapse under the pressure, he managed to stammer out, "So I..I was tt...th..thinking m...mmmaybe you guys can calm down and talk pea..p..peacefully, considering you both are disturbing others." Tania looked confused, "What the hell are you saying?" Jake glanced in my direction but avoided eye contact. Before things could escalate further, an authoritative voice spoke from behind me, "What is happening here?" A guy stood by Jake's left side, while another guy appeared on his right. The second guy asked, "Why is a commotion happening in the cafeteria?" Jake looked bewildered, "Huh?" One of the guys whispered to Jake, "Shh, we came to save your butt." Tania shouted, "Excuse you!" The guy on Jake's left side asked arrogantly, "Exactly what is happening here, Tania?" Tania's jaw dropped, and she seemed speechless. . . . . . . #Vote# 💛 💛TNG💛 💛
