Oh my shobha.
A narrow, bustling lane was alive with activity as the morning rush gripped the neighborhood. People hurried in every direction, eager to reach their workplaces, making the already cramped street feel even more chaotic. The cacophony of voices, honking horns, and hurried footsteps filled the air. Amidst the commotion, a woman with a vegetable bag clutched tightly in one hand fumbled in her pocket with the other, retrieving a key. The fresh greens and vibrant reds of the vegetables peeked through the top of the bag as she unlocked the door and stepped inside.
The moment she entered, her eyes instinctively fell on the clock hanging on the wall in front of her. Both its hands pointed firmly to eight. Her eyes widened in shock.
"Oh no ! I'm so late!"
she exclaimed.
Without wasting a moment, she rushed to the kitchen, placed the bag on the counter, and began hurriedly unpacking it. Her voice filled the quiet house as she mumbled to herself.
"How am I so late today? I have to open the shop, and I haven’t cooked anything yet. The whole house is a mess! How will I manage? How will I do it all?"
As she continued mumbling, a gentle yet familiar voice called from behind.
"Shobha... Oh, my dear Shobha..."
Startled, she turned around to see a man standing there, his eyes full of affection. The sight of him momentarily softened her worried expression.
"Look, Lokesh," she said, her voice laced with concern, "how am I supposed to manage all this? I need to open the shop, and nothing is done yet!"
The man, Lokesh, responded with a calm and reassuring smile.
"Why are you worrying so much over such small things? You go and get ready. I’ll take care of everything in the house. Don’t stress at all."
For a moment, Shobha couldn’t believe what she had just heard. Relief washed over her, and a broad smile spread across her face.
"Oh my God! You are amazing. I really love you!"
she exclaimed joyfully.
Just as Shobha's laughter filled the room, a playful, high-pitched voice echoed from behind, imitating her words.
"Oh my God! You are amazing. I really love you!"
The mimicry was so perfect that it made Shobha’s smile freeze. Her expression tightened, and she turned sharply toward the source of the voice. Meanwhile, Lokesh couldn’t suppress his laughter.
