Chapter 17 : What's so interesting about it?

1037 Words
They ordered fried chicken with some cider. Jisun insisted on paying for it or at least half of the food but Minjun refused strongly. He was older than Jisun, there was no way he would let the younger one pay. "I'm only one year younger than you." Jisun said after Minjun sent the delivery man off. "Nah.” Minjun shook his head proudly. “It's a two year gap." Jisun frowned, “What? You’re nineteen?” Minjun only gave the surprised boy an obvious look. Like there was no way that Jisun who his father was but missed the fact that Minjun was indeed two years older than him. “B-but how? Were you failing a grade?” Minjun laughed. Maybe Jisun just didn’t think too much about it. “No, I just started a year later.” He waved his hand at Jisun. He didn’t tell Jisun the total truth either though, he didn’t like the idea of telling Jisun the real deal story that would follow with it. “Anyway, you’re the maknae, so you won’t pay anything for me.” After some thought Jisun shrugged, "Okay, I'll just try again next time." Minjun looked at Jisun strangely, the question was already at the tip of his tongue when a new voice came. "Woah just right when I'm hungry." Chan welcomed himself into the living room and snatched the chicken box from Jisun's grip. "YA! That's-" Minjun stopped himself before he'd saying something stupid. f*****g bastard. Jisun is hungry too! But the Jisun guy didn't even bother to stop the new guest. He just laughed it off and sat down around the other side of the table. "Ck! Troublesome." Minjun stopped looking at Jisun, why should he care anyway? The boy can take care of himself well, Minjun didn't have to tire himself out about some big guy. Minjun went to the kitchen and brought some plates with him. When he was back, Minjun slapped Chan's hand lightly and took the box. "Ya! You think you're the only one that is hungry?! What are you doing, didn’t even greet the young master here. I don’t even know when you came!" He said scornfully. Chan laughed it off while eyeing the still hot fried chicken. Minjun put all the chickens on a plate and gave each of his guests small plates for them. The ciders were also placed neatly. After all was set, Minjun motioned for them to proceed to eat. “Where’s Sunny?” Jisun asked while ravishing that drumstick in one bite. “Who?” Chan asked. Minjun glared at Chan. “You seriously don’t know her?” Chan successfully dodged the empty sauce sachet Minjun threw at him. “I told you more about her than I told Jisun and you don’t know Sunny?!” “Uh…” “That’s my cat you ignorant f**k!” “Ah…” In a second, Chan stole one piece of chicken then run off to- “Hyung where are you going?” Jisun managed to say those in between his laughter. “Gonna ruin his room.” “Hah! You don’t even know which one my-” It was not the first time Chan was here, but a lot of things have changed since his last visit, and that includes Minjun’s room. “Oh you moved your room? Then I’ll just have to open all these doors one by one.” Before the club leader opened any door on the first floor, he changed his mind and decided to check the rooms on the second floor instead. “My guts are telling me it’s on the second floor. Probably you’re using Minseok’s hyung room now.” “Holy s**t!” Minjun ran after Chan who was dangerously in front of his room already. How the hell does he know?! “I swear if Sunny wakes up, I’m gonna let her claw you.” Minjun skipped a stair for each step and held his hand out towards Chan. As if it would help him pull his friend faster. “She’s sleeping!” Minjun did let Sunny claw Chan’s back until he was screaming like a schoolgirl. It was a funny sight that Jisun had to crouched down and hold his stomach to make it bearable if that even possible. After all the chaos, they finally could start to study seriously. Crossed that, it was only him who was holding a theory book. Chan? The guy sprawled on the carpet, while he was on the bed, reading Minjun’s manga collection instead. The guy even took several books out of the shelf and put them on his side. Minjun tried to snatch it out but the guy was whining, screaming to give him thirty minute more to finish at least one episode of the Black Butler manga. Minjun started to calculate the rental costs just in case Chan wanted to borrow them. He couldn’t get it free after barging in like that. It was so quiet with the three of them inside his room, they were busy and so immersed in their own business. It should be normal, just like how they usually were when the study session started, but strangely enough this time felt more deafening for Minjun. Minjun took a quick glance at Jisun who was seated on his study chair. Jisun was no longer focused on a game on his phone like the last time Minjun saw. Now he was looking at the arranged stuff that decorated Minjun’s study desk, curious about them. The younger’s eyes were so wide as if they’re trying to swallow in the image of Minjun’s desk. Which sounded ridiculous in Minjun’s mind. There were also times when Jisun’s brows were furrowed when he tried to read Minjun’s writing. Like the ‘post it notes’ Minjun stamped on the wall, Jisun spent some time looking at it. What’s so interesting about it? “I got goosebumps.” Chan suddenly said so close to Minjun’s ears. He was somehow already on the bed on Minjun’s side. The room’s owner was ready to shove Chan off of his bed when the said boy continued, “Why are you looking at him like that?”
