Chapter 11 : Close friend

809 Words
From two teenage guys to three. That was how Jisun slipped himself into one of Minjun’s routines. Well, Chan made him precisely. Now, Minjun had to see Jisun more often than before. Heck, he even forgot that the boy was in the same club with him months ago. In Minjun's favor, they never really talked before okay! Just like any other night, it was their other dinner time. The three of them talked about literally everything by now, from school matters to entertainment dating scandals. Minjun also didn’t feel any difficulty to split his attention toward both Chan and Jisung, he could do it just fine now. They didn’t do this every day though, it was impossible and kind of unnecessary, and they had their own personal activities too. In other words, they had different schedules. But still, they spent dinner together frequently enough to the point Minjun could remember that… Jisun didn’t like his food being too spicy. Jisun should eat at least two bowls of rice, to be adequately full. Jisun’s favorite drink was milkist, which Minjun found cute, but of course he won’t tell anyone about it. What for? You don’t have to ask him about Chan, of course Minjun knew some of Chan’s eating habits too. He knew Chan longer anyway. They were getting closer but the thing was, Chan was still the one paying for the dinner. Nothing big about that actually aside from Chan’s withering wallet which the owner didn’t mind that much. Surprisingly. But it seemed to be a different case for Jisun. “Hyung, you don’t like eating with me?” Jisun, out of nowhere, asked in the middle of their conversation. Someone choked on his food, thank God it wasn't Minjun. Chan bursted a laughter soon after he recovered from his misery. The leader "Jisun-ah, what're you talking about? We’re having a great time-” Instead of denying the question, Minjun asked, "Why?" Well, he wanted to know what made Jisun think like that. All this time, Minjun never had a boring dinner time with Chan even when they didn't have any topic to discuss. But when Jisun joined them (almost a month already), there were three of them in one table, things were getting… livelier. Jisun always had a lot of things to tell and Minjun couldn't say that he didn't enjoy it. He had some funny jokes too! There were also times when Minjun forgot that Jisun was one year younger than him. Ok, at first Minjun didn't welcome the idea because… just because! It was just how he operated and reacted at something new and Jisun was definitely a new ‘thing’ in Minjun’s circle. But he adapted, Minjun at least good at adapting and he was sure that he showed both Chan and Jisun how he enjoyed this. So, why does he think like that? Minjun sighed when Jisun didn't say anything. “You really have to ask that nonsense question when I was talking about how Sunny stupidly kept on stuck in my sofa.” “Come on Jisun-ah~ this one sunbae in front of you is really a special case. I can’t even understand him sometimes.” Chan chuckled while shaking Jisun’s whole body playfully. “Finish your food, buddy.” After parted ways with Chan, Minjun found himself inside the same bus, seated right beside Jisun on their way home just like any other night. They never had that much to talk about before, so being engulfed in each other’s thoughts was a common thing. But this time the silence made Minjun uncomfortable. “Hei.” Minjun called him with his eyes glued to the chair in front. “Chan is my closest friend, I’m so used to being with him that I never thought adding another person to our dinner ritual would be a pleasant thing to do.” Minjun could sense Jisun’s eyes on him, more reason for him to not let this ugly back chair out of his sight. “But I guess I’m wrong. It’sactuallyfunwithyoutoo.” Minjun said in speed. fuck! Why did they put the chairs this close?! Even after that cringy thing Minjun spurted out, Jisun still didn’t say anything. Nothing. Not even that ‘Oh’ he often slipped at every start of his sentence. It pissed Minjun so much because it was very embarrassing. So when his stop came, Minjun left without saying goodbyes to Jisun. He didn’t even turn his head like he usually did to send the bus go. It was right before Minjun pushed the fence to his house, a message came. He fished the phone out and opened it immediately. [From : Han Jisun] ‘hyung, i wanna be your close friend too’ ‘tell me how’ How? Minjun had no idea, he didn’t even know such a ‘method’ existed.
